Russia

Even Europe hasn't given Ukraine the equipment to do this. They physically do not have enough men or equipment for this. It is a literal pipedream. Morality aside.
I don't think it's possible for any amount of aid from the US to allow them to take back the original borders. Russia for all it's lacking has better long range capabilities than the US and Europe when it comes to air to air and air to ground capabilities. It would take a massive escalation of sabotage efforts inside Russia to allow Ukraine to become truly offensive. At which point they still have to over come the meat grinder that Russia is capable of with standing.

Sounds line is either in the midst of or just about to push out another summer offensive during upcoming peace talks. A last second land grab for better bargaining chips I would assume.

it seems that russias demands have increased

Medinsky: “We don’t want war, but we’re ready to fight one, two, three years — as long as it takes. We fought Sweden for 21 years. How long are you ready to fight?” Russia in Istanbul threatened to seize Kharkiv, Sumy, demanding exit from 4 regions, — Oliver Carroll, The Economist.
They aren't going to have the funds to make any kind of significant offensives nor the equipment past this year. Their fleets of tanks for example are expected to run out in 2026. Not that they won't have any on the battlefield. Just that they wont be able replenish them. Defending may be a different beast however. They wont need near as many men, money, & systems for that.

what an idiot.    russia was kicked out of the G-8 when they started the war

President Trump: "So without the United States, the G20 — just like the G7, used to be the G8, but brilliantly, they threw Russia out. It would have been a lot better if Russia was in … because if Russia was in, you probably wouldn't have this war [in Ukraine]."

i hope he can convince enough republicans to go along with this

Things will get interesting with Ukraine trying to assassinate Putin earlier.
i  haven't heard that.  when did that happen?  but then the whole reason for russian invasion was to kill zelensky and impose their own puppet in his place so well deserved if they hit putin IMO

Putin being killed would really be interesting in terms of "what happens next"

I don't think the Russian citizens dislike him all that much, at least not like how I would think they would.
