*** 2026 Recruiting ***

Pretty mediocre class but had a lot of coaching changes so I suppose it’s to be expected.

Im not saying that Nebraska won't end up in the top 25 in recruiting rankings but it seems like Nebraska has stuck out on a lot of high profile kids that have committed elsewhere. Im holding out hope that if Nebraska doesn't do well down the stretch that they hit the portal hard.

Winning solves everything... just go win.

Winning is a big portion with the top tier kids and we haven't done it enough yet, but this class was always going to be very small. There has been a recent change in that some existing kids can be grandfathered in the 105 count. This has opened up the potential for a larger class but still likely a total count in the teens at this point. It gets really difficult to have a top 25 class at the end of the year with a count that low.

Every recruit who took an OV here is committed somewhere.
Only 11 of the Rivals 100 are NOT committed at this time.

Recruiting timeline has moved up significantly.

I think you're correct.

Nebraska's class size is going to limit how high they can finish in the rankings, probably in the ~35th range when it's all done.

But I also think the staff may just prefer the portal at this point, we've had good success there. We have financial resources, so why not buy known production at key spots instead of gambling on a High School kid?
