What Did We Learn? - Michigan

We still struggle to win close games.

The o-line is going to cost us a few games.

When was the last time our D gave up 3 long TD runs like that?

We are looking like a team that has a ceiling of 8 wins and a bottom of 5 wins in the regular season. I don't feel we are a bad team, but I don't feel Rhule is going to make that 3rd year leap either.

I posted before the game that the 2 keys for a Husker win would be:

1. Ability to protect Raiola

2. Ability to stop the run including the QB

That, along with 2 missed FG opportunities , was the difference.

With that said, this is the most competitve Nebraska has been in years. They should gain more votes in the polls in my opinion.
We only missed 1 FG

Serious question for the board because I had a hard time judging it:

Do you think the new red end zones affected Hunter on that touchdown catch that was called back because he stepped out of bounds? That would have tied the game.

Having red turf behind the out of bounds line was a big discussion point when the new end zones were put in.
Just curious what the consensus is on this play and if maybe Nebraska should go back to the old end zones next year.

I’m getting tired of Rhules bullshet speeches, his too cool for school rhetoric is observed clearly on the field, and losing of course naturally

Unfortunately there's 1 aspect where it's been bad the entire time a specific person has been coaching them and he's not going anywhere. The Oline imho has been a glaring hole for many years and even now it's just not getting better and I have family on that Oline.
not until the nephew is gone.

I don’t say this as a counterpoint and I do have criticisms, but I see this program making some strides. No knock on any individual player or group of players, but I believe we still lack top talent. Clearly Michigan has more raw talent

Our tackles need serious work. Slow feet and weight over their toes on pass plays.

Our DL needs to be improved.

We suck on the LOS.

Dylan needs to learn to throw the ball away and stop taking sacks. Some of those are on him.

We have ZERO running game.

I hadn’t thought about that good point. From what I loosely watched it didn’t have an affect, it was the curse I believe
