2025 Husker Football Schedule

"The Kansas City Classic"
I like any promotional aspect that might put more eyeballs on this game nationwide. It sounds like we'll be putting quite a few butts into the seats so maybe that helps kick off this inagural event in the right way.

The Chiefs paid the buyout of the Indianapolis contract and UC is set to get 75% of the gate.

Last I heard a few weeks ago, 64k was the attendance number so far.

Is the UCLA game time set yet ? Stub Hub says 1:00. Don't see it on our board, that it says that. We have TBA
Anyone heard different ?

Huskers.com still has TBA. So, unless the university hasn't updated the website, or Stub Hub knows something no one else knows, they are just using a semi-logical time because their system probably doesn't allow TBA.

Just saw next year's schedule, out of curiosity. The listing of who we play but not when we play.

We better hope to win more games this year and enjoy it, because next year will be much, much more difficult. Even with 8 home games and only 4 road games.

I saw that too - if we have our same performance next year - we'd be lucky to go 6-6.

Meh, team strengths change year to year. Really hard to predict anymore how hard a schedule will be from year to year.

Home Games
Ohio - W
Bowling Green - W
North Dakota - W
Indiana - Depends if they find another great transfer QB but I'll put an L??
Maryland - W
Ohio State - L??
Washington - Toss up - They really aren't that good guys and we get them at home.

Away Games
Illinois - Toss up
Iowa - Toss up
Michigan State - Toss up
Oregon - L??
Rutgers - W

5 games we should be able to chalk up as a win
4 games we can call a toss up right now. If we improve by the same margin, 3-4 are wins
3 games listed as an L

Lucky to go 6-6 is ridiculous. On paper, under our current strength, this is a 7-8 win schedule. If we improve, 8+.

I hope your are right. I can see the logic in your plan. I was looking at Ill, Washington and Iowa favoring both of those schools based on current trends.

Those first three games don't count for nothing except bowl game possibility.

How is playing Oregon, Ohio State, Indiana, Iowa, iLLInois and Washington 50/50 games?

Say man, if you have Nebraska football bias or you are a die-hard fan, let's be honest. Because no one outside of Nebraska is agreeing with your thinking at all.

The schedule next year is the brutal truth.

I have Oregon, Ohio State, and Indiana listed as losses? We do get 2 out of those 3 at home so I wouldn't be surprised to see us win one of them but I listed them as L.

I do have Iowa, Illinois, and Washington listed as toss ups because they are. Washington beat Maryland 24-20 in a game they were down 20-3 going into the 4thQ. They also got beat up by Michigan 24-7. They aren't great.... and they beat Illinois 42-25. Their only game against anyone good they lost at home 24-6. Illinois got beat 63-10 by Indiana and 34-16 by Ohio State at home. Outside of that they squeaked a win against USC 34-32. They are no juggernaut. That screams toss up game. Iowa will eternally be a toss up team- It is the nature of the series through the years.
