Penn State Game Preview

I don't see how our game isn't a 11am kick. But then I look at the B1G schedule and 5 or 6 games scream 11am kick.

Washington @ UCLA
Michigan @ Maryland
Nebraska @ Penn State
Rutgers @ Ohio State
Michigan State @ Iowa
Illinois @ Wisconsin
USC @ Oregon
Minnesota @ Northwestern

USC/Ore is probably the NBC night game. Maybe we get the 2:30 CBS spot based on the name recognition?
Nebraska vs PSU will get a lot of eyes because PSU will likely be trying to hold on to bowl potential and Nebraska always tunes in. My guess is 2:30 kick unless PSU finds a way to lose to Michigan State.

Don't think Fox will take any of these for Big Noon, guess is BYU @ Cincy gets that spot assuming both win this weekend. It would be a de facto Big 12 semifinal game.

If there's any big believers in ESPN Analytics...

They are a talented team with nothing to lose. Not your typical 3 win squad. They have won games against absolute nobody's as well but they only got beaten badly by OSU. Every other game has been razor close. That said I think if we get into that type of game we will win as we have proven this season to have that drive to finish a little bit where PSU finds a way to lose the game. They will be in here we go again mode. Its nice to say that about another team and not us for once!!

I kinda wondered about that, but if they can update FPI weekly, why not the rest of their stats-based stuff too?
I wouldn't worry too much about it. Vegas puts out opening lines in late June for certain big game interest (futures). And since we are off this week and PSU plays a game it is still a future that can change.

By the way, ESPN's FPI and analytics create their own power rating system that basically mirrors what Vegas uses to set lines and outcome percentages.

Their power index is a gray ambiguous phrase, meaning unclear and uncertain. That's what FPI stands for (just add football to power index).
