Nebrasketball vs Oklahoma @ the Sanford Pentagon

If we shoot OK from 3, I think this will be a very competitive game. If we shoot like we did against Maryland ES, this is going to get rough.

Keep the above for games against anyone decent this year**

In 1996, we loss to OU 84-77 in Norman.

In 1996-97 we lost to Bowling Green at an new years tournament after beating them at home three weeks prior.

For the life of me, I just don’t get why we are in love with playing a game like this every year up there. We have spent millions creating an intimidating atmosphere in a great arena….but no, we are playing OU in South Dakota.

I assume TV attention with a tradition rich program and maybe to throw a bone to fans who don't live near Lincoln. Kind of like when the football program scheduled Wyoming or Colorado.

They end up playing a home game that counts as a neutral site game for NET rankings. Kind of like the football team playing a road game in Kansas City.

I also think it is good for the team to play some better competition early. A loss against a Q1 doesn't mean much in the end for the selection committee but if we happen to win it, it can be the difference in making the tournament or not. If we can shoot 35% or better from 3, I give us a good shot to beat them. If we shoot 19% like last game, we are toast.

Huskers are 1.5 (opened at 2.5) point underdogs with an over/under of 161.5 (opened at 155.5). ESPN gives them a 47.4% chance to win.

Jarusevicius & Burt are out. Everyone else should be available.

Go Big Red!
