Is Iowa a Rivalry for Nebraska?

We went undefeated in conference in 2002, so any tie breakers would have been related to who was the last to appear in the Rose Bowl, nothing to do with record. I'm no Nebraska historian, I thought they had a split title in 1970? Either way, I'm pretty sure 99% of husker fans would say if they went undefeated in conference that it's a legit conference title with no conference title game at the time.

You are doing the same stuff you are accusing Nebraska fans but for lesser accomplishments, it’s weird.

lol I'm just defending against the argument. I never questioned any of Nebraska's shared accomplishments. My point was, a shared title is still a title.

The only question is how will Iowa beat us. Will it be a last second field goal, or will they realize we have no rush defense and ram it down our throat in a blowout?
 
Well, we have zilch to lose. I would sell out every play on stacking the box. Who cares if they throw, stop the run if you wanna keep this score (loss) respectable. And may as well let Lateef run as much as possible at this point.

Teams obviously have learned that our rush defense sucks and anyone can just run all over us. No need to pass. So, the only solution to that is to over play to stop the run. This game is against a team that has shown they really don't pass the ball well at all. So....do whatever it takes to stop their run and make them beat us with the pass.

...which is what we all talked about heading into the Penn State game.

My opinion is that we just have no middle linebacker presence at all. I'm not even sure if the "problem" can even be fixed.

Yep. I've been so disgusted with the PSU game that I haven't gone back to watch anything to see what we even tried to do to stop the run.

I'd describe it as a lot of five man front stuff. Nothing wrong with that. But then we'd just get washed out and there'd be no linebacker making a play to prevent the run from getting out of the second level.

Seemed to happen all game long.
