Penn State Post-Game Pressers

Cignetti has caused a huge issue in CFB. Everybody seems to think there are multiple of him out there.

It's the same thing that happened after a freshman won the Heisman - people (including some on this board) thought any freshman QB who isn't at that level is a bust, or the coach's system isn't taking advantage of him. They lost all patience for player development.

Meanwhile, it's been 12 years since a freshman won the Heisman...

I'm sympathetic, but Cignetti has changed the paradigm. While everyone was looking at Neon Deion thinking he could work miracles with the portal, Cignetti actually cracked the code.
Indiana has one of the top NIL funds. I wonder if that was part of the agreement for him taking the job. Im not annoying him yet as with NIL & he brought players with him. Year 3 will be the answer.

He doesn't have the LBs. Big, strong, physical. Can plug a hole, bring down RBs at the LOS, chase down QBs, and can run sideline to sideline.
The SEC and B1G have always had these type of players at LB. Like 6'3 240lb physical studs. Why? Because the physical offenses have 230lb running backs (or at least between 220 and 240) with a lighter back around 215 to compliment the offense. Just my observations over the years. LBs need to get bigger bc RBs are getting bigger are more physical.

Hopefully Butler is just working with what he has. But after the season, he needs to tweak the scheme to 4-3 or 3-4. And they need big strong physical players.

I don't think that people know this. Indiana has some extremely well off alumni, head lined by Mark Cuban who made his first donation to athletics last year. It's also littered with CEOs of major companies.
