2025-2026 College Football Playoff

Same thing with Carson Beck also. He had a couple really clutch 4-5 yard runs to keep the chains/drive moving…but he’s not running these smashmouth zone read keepers.

It isn’t necessary.

I’m telling you, the idea of needing a QB that can run the ball like Eric Crouch as the guy’s primary attribute just did not translate in 2025 whatsoever.

The mentality should be, you have to have a competent passer. If the guy can scramble, it’s an added bonus.
I also think QBs with experience are making a difference. OSU's QB's lack of experience showed last night.

I know that there is plenty of time for Georgia to still come back, but if Georgia and Alabama both lose in the playoffs on the same day, it doesn't get any better than that!

Agree...this was about the best final four I could have asked for...maybe not Miami, but I was pulling for Oregon, Indiana and Ole Miss.

I will always take the side of a dual threat QB over pocket passer ( Dylan). Only a few schools have elite offensive linemen thru out. Unless you have elite line play, you have to have a mobile QB. Can't believe after watching yesterday (Dampier) and not want that style of QB................seems like if you would take Dylan over that, your in a bubble.

What I am seeing is that most of these playoff teams have built rosters thru recruiting and retaining players from HS. Sure, a few playmakers have transferred in, but for the most part these rosters are HS talent and developed. I still think that this is the key for any program to still attain.

If 3 of the top 4 seeds lose after sitting for a month, and all 4 lost last year, this has to change. The subjective eyes of college football playoff committee members failed and the playoff system has failed. I say in a true playoff scenario the playoff season should start no later than 10 days after the conference title games conclude. All top seeds get a home game and no byes. True good teams like Miami will win wherever because defenses travel, but overall I don't think Texas Tech and Ohio St got fair advantage if truly they were top 4 teams all year.

So you would take Chiles over Kienholz or Minchey? Bc those are the names that are being thrown around as the qb's Nebraska is going after. Me personally I would go after Kienholz, Barnett or Joseph personally.

The refs trying to help Georgia win this game. They have allowed both defenses to play all game then call PI and holding on the final drive against Ole Miss.
