I think Arkansas would offer more money than NU. They just seem like one of those Universities where if it doesn't work, throw more money at it. Maybe I'm wrong....

Well at least we won't see him in the Big 12. I am glad if we do not get him we don't have to see him with talent and funds behind him.

Great coach period.

Go back and look at his record.

You will be amazed. He has lost a lot of games, but he is at the smallest division 1 a school I think.

He has a limited budget, less than stellar talent.

But every game the winner walks away knowing they have been in a game. When they lose it is normally in the 4th quarter with less than 2 minutes or overtime. His teams play 60 minutes and I mean hard.

VT, Florida State, Boston College have all lost to him. If he had their talent what would happen.

Playing the Deacons has been hard for anyone the last 5 years.

Callahan beat him the first year due to turnovers. We got spanked in every stat at home. Errors on specail teams. Take those away it would have been a different game.

I don't think anyone has spanked them this year. Talent and funds of Nebraska would maike him a great coach every year I think.

I have been a huge fan of his for the last 6 years. It always amazes me how he gets so much out of his players.

The wheels had not come off the team at that time.

not that it takes away from your argument but i do believe that both tulsa and duke are smaller with wake being the 3rd smallest.

You cold be correct. It was mentioned during one of their broadcasts, it may have been enrollment or budget.

Either way he has done a lot with very little, and done it well with no NCAA infractions to this point.

If they have such a limited budget, maybe he should consider trimming his 1.5 million dollar salary. Sounds like Sherman at A&M is doing just that so he can get top assistants. TO rarely ever took pay raises. He simply passed them on down to his assitants. I think this is what any great coach would do.

We do not know he may be doing that.

But he was coach of the year last year. That may have been involved to. Being in a BCS bowl may have raised it to. I don't know. But of all the football I watch, I enjoy watching the Deamon Deacons. You know it will be a game, no matter who they play. He just gets so much out of the kids he has. And they seem to stay through their senior year. Of course that could be the talent level I suppose.

I would love to see what he could do here.
