Just got this in an email...thought id pass it along..

OK here's what my dad has just learned. He didn't say who he heard it from, just forwarded it to me in an email. Could be from Tim Cassidy seeing as he and my dad are good friends.... Anyway, just passing on some GOOD info.

Gill is the Head Coach, under a 5-year contract. This is while Osborne is still Athletic Director. Pelini is on as Defensive Coordinator, while being groomed by both Osborne and Gill to become head coach. Apparently, he has had trouble with recruiting and other aspects of becoming a head coach. Osborne hopes that this "in-between" phase will greatly help Pelini's tactics. After 5 years, Gill takes over as Athletic Director, and Pelini becomes Head Coach.

Shawn Watson will likely be retained as Offensive Coordinator under Gill, and is expected to make a shift toward the spread-option style of offense.

Scott Frost will become a key part of the staff. He is going to come on as coach of the Linebackers and as In-State Recruiting Director under Gill. The walk-on program is set to become a key part of the program under this staff.

There is talk of Grant Wistrom coming back, but not until he has had more experience coaching. Pelini really likes him, so there is a possibility of him coming on as Defensive Line coach under Pelini.

Osborne feels that this approach will get Nebraska back to national prominence in the shortest amount of time. He really likes both Gill and Pelini, and is looking forward to announce his new plan to the public next week.

:rollin :rollin  These things get better and better. :wasted

I really don't think Gill would commit himself to give up coaching duties in 5 years, which is what this suggests.

Great, at least I know now exactly what is going to happen. I'll stop checking the forums now. See you all at the Spring Game!

Well I posted this on another thread but is late in that day so what the heck.

:bang :bang :bang :bang NO NO NO NO it isn't and I tell ya why. See ESPN has more money that Gawd so they hired the guy's from Delta House to dig through the trash for any clues at UNL. Well see what the boy's from Delta house didn't know that false copies of notes TO and Pearlman took were planted in the trash and that ther real coach has already been named :rollin :rollin ;) ;)

Yeah see and now TO can name the whole staff and then step down and appoint Frank as head coach and then it will be like the last 4 years never happend :sarcasm :woo :woo

That would be a dream scenario, but it doesn't seem like Gill would want to give up head coach in 5 years. If he wanted to be an AD, he could go into administration now and work his way up. I assume he is a head coach because he wants to be a head coach.

I actually think only Osborne and Pearlman know who the coach will be. Just thought id pass along the email I got. haha they just read my post on 1620.
