Wheres the hate for CU around here???

Don't worry 'Hawk, it is coming. I grew up in western KS and despise everything Colorado. No matter where i am if i see anything related to Colorado, car tags, Coors, etc. I always state how much i hate anything to do w/ that state.

I think it annoys my wife but oh well. And i hope we beat the hell out of sCUm!

GBR!!!

I have absolutely nothing against the Colorado program, in fact I rather approve of Dan Hawkins and what he's trying to do and hope that the situation works.

But man, my hatred is deep for the Colorado fans.

BTW, anyone who actually hates a team, that's just childish. It's not the team that smack talks, thinks they are all that, or anything of that sort. It's the fans period.
I disagree, it's called being a fan. Part of football is having a team or teams that no one can stand. I know some go to extremes, i.e. slashing tires, keying cars, ect., doing things like that is childish. But hating a team that is not your own is not. I know a few older fans, like in their 60's and 70's, that saying "Oklahoma Sooners" is like saying a curse word.

Again, the slashing of tires and etc. is all done towards fans of teams, not teams themselves. Once in a while a team is to blame, when players are stupid snots, or get in brawls, but I guess what I am saying is that when people say they hate a team, it's mostly the fans that they can't stand, or that they just hate the thought of losing to that program. I don't know of anyone who actually has malice towards a group of college football players on the same squad.

Huh, I always kinda hated the players on the other team for beating our players and making me feel horrible for a week or more. I never really hated other fans 'til this blogging thing started where there have definitely been some jerks online(not on this site) who's address I would like to have.

Fortunately now, I'm getting too old to hate on anything too much--except war, taxes....stuff like that.

CU is like the little smart-a$$ mouthy kid who doesn't know when to shut up. They get their shots in every once in awhile but what they need is an old fashioned behind the woodshed a$$ kickin. NU needs to come in with a purpose and knock the damn buffs teeth in.
:clap Exactly my sentiments!!

However, the mother of my sCUm stories goes back to 1995 and great a$$ kicking that we gave them. It was after the game and I saw five sCUm douches watch about an 60 year old Husker fan go into the porta$hitter and then push it over on him. I was 15 and SO wanted to join in as my old man and three of his buddies went to kick their asses but he said he'd kick my a$$ to if I joined in. That incident right there has brewed a hatred for those biggest bunch of cry babying football fan posers that burns deep.
Wow, that's really bad. Seeing that would have absolutely infuriated me too.

For a few minutes at least, your dad and crew would have had one p****d off Tiger as an ally. That in itself would make for quite a story...

I would have had to of gotten involved on that one...I usually don't like violence as a solution, but that right there would have warranted it.

They think theyare a spread team but they really are a punting offense.

I don't hate any north teams, I pity them because NEBRASKA has kicked their a$$ for a 100 years.

:clap :clap :clap :horns2 :horns2 :horns2 :woo :woo :woo

I dont hate CU. I just wish they were not in the Big 12 anymore. If we have to play them every season, I'd rather it within the first few conf games. I'd prefer our last game was against MU or KU. Or anyone else. This whole NU/CU last game after Thanksgiving crap, is crap. It's force-fed upon us. And it's only to get CU on TV and exposure.

It's well documented that when ex-coach Bill McCartney took over, he asked the team who their rivalry is & they said "no one". So he circled the Huskers. He circled the best.

CU can go the WAC, the Mountain West, the Pac 10. Anywhere. Just go away.

Yeah, maybe there is some hate for them. But honestly, I just dont respect them or care for 'em.

Easy folks... anybody that thinks THIS next game is gonna be a walk in the park could be in for some real misery. I'm a husker fan thru and thru, but you've GOT to give CU this advantage... They are LITERALLY playing FOR a bowl game. Think that won't make them 'get up' for our men in red? Heck, CU gets up for the Nebraska games just BECAUSE. Remember last year? (Grrrrrooooan...) I think CU hates us MORE than we hate them right now! Besides, I watched that last CU game and they gave Ok. State more trouble than they SHOULD have. No, no... Our boys better be READY for a huge fight and a long day with a good game. That being said, are we LOADS better defensively AND offensively than we were last year? Absolutely. I want this to be a solid blow out of 64 to 3, but our guys better eat buffalo burgers on turkey day and be READY. This IS, as far as I'm concerned, the biggest game of the season this year. Maybe not for the stats, maybe not for the ranking, but in the 'the Callahan era is OVER' aspect. My gut says CU comes RIGHT OUT AT US every play and gives us fits... Should be a good, well fought game. GO BIG RED! (Oh and that whole Ganz / Swift for president 2012 thing!)
There is no way in hell that Colorado hates us more than I hate Colorado.

Are you sure?

Bruce Feldman of ESPN:

The worst and most classless bumper sticker ever came from the Midwest. In 1988, Colorado star quarterback, Sal Aunese, was diagnosed with stomach cancer. Aunesse died in the middle of the 1989 season. An idiot Nebraska fan printed bumper stickers that said, "Go Big Red; Sal is Dead." I know it was the work of one idiot but to this day I always pulld for the Buffaloes when they face Nebraska.

"Sal is dead, go Big Red" painted on I-70? How about the "CU in hell Sal" signs?

Although, I wouldn't put it past a few friends that graduated from CU...Trying to stir up the rivalry.
