Memorial Stadium gets Larry the Cable Guy..........Oklahoma gets

Funny how everyone on this board hates Larry the Cable Guy until they need to be better than Oklahoma so then he's better than U2.

I don't hate Larry.....being close to Omaha, I have seen him many times at the funny bone prior to him being a star. But, I absolutely HATE U2.....nonetheless, I would say that U2 is much more popular than Larry, so OU wins this one.

Yeah but I mean c'mon. Who do you think is more popular in oklahoma? Larry or U2? I mean they are "expletive hillbillys"

I'm surprised they didn't get Taylor Swift or some other equally uninteresting country singer. (sorry country music fans)

Must say, I'm quite surprised. U2 doesn't seem like the kind of act that would draw well in the Norman area. I wouldn't have been surprised however, if I heard Toby Keith was doing a benefit concert to be later presented on The Nashville Network.

U2? Me and her?

Larry Mullen?

U2 was probably my fav. group in the 80's and some of the 90's.

Been largely dissapointed by their musuc once they went techno. but still, never thought I'd hear so many use the word, "Hate".

Larry the cable guy is me.

(At least occaisionally).

Could be worse..I was thinking OU would be that Garth guy..or did he go to OSU?

My vote goes to:

I can tell you from experience, that oklahomans love Larry the cable guy. He was more popular there than in Nebraska when I was living there. He could probably draw as many fans in Norman as he will in Lincoln. And he might even bring Toby Keith along as his opening act. :lame
