NU vs. Davidson

Loss 70-67

Man rough loss to a Davidson team that is not very good at all.

On the bright side Jeter had a very good game.

Just didnt execute or shoot the three ball well enough today.

New day, same result, no suprise. How many people would have threw down money the last couple of years on a bet that Ryan Anderson would ve the most missed player after graduating?

I've been a huge Doc supporter and I know it's still early in the season, but it's looking more and more like a change needs to be made. If not at the Head Coach, then with all the other staff besides the two new guys. Something. This is pathetic and I'm not ready for another long season of disappointment. Davidson is a BAD team, period. Something needs to happen.

Doc is the worst coach i've ever seen. I know basketball isn't big in Nebraska, but why would you ever want someone like Doc Sadler coaching your team. Why would anyone want to play for Doc Sadler? The only reason we have players to fill out the roster is because we are in a good conference. How hard is it to get 1 good player in over 5 years of coaching?

I am sad. I really thought this would be abetter year for us. 26 years we have had season tickets, i just don't want to give them up with new arena coming on line.. the best i do now is I give them to the neighborhood kids. Fix it Doc

All I want is a .500 conference record! Is that too much to ask for? It is starting to seem a little out of reach.....same story as last year. Look great early in games and than 1/2 thru the second half start to fall apart. Can we find someone who can shoot the ball?

Yeah, coaching the SMALLEST team in Division I basketball to an over .500 record in arguably the nation's strongest conference is terribly coaching.

If you don't watch the games, don't talk about the coaching

It's sad too, because if Doc could recruit, he could have a ton of success. His UTEP teams were a fine on-the-court product, and looked very, very much different than these Nebraska teams do. I've been patient and supportive of him as well, but it's all but been decided in my mind that he's not the right fit.

The best way to have success, as far as I can see, is to hire a popular assistant from a semi-big or bigger program (top 25 or higher) who can recruit. Basketball is very much a skill sport, and recruiting is even more important than in football (if you ask me). It all starts with recruiting, and as long as whoever you hire believes in the things we believe in at Nebraska, that is respect, family, honesty, doing things the right way, etc., then the rest can be learned or developed.

I don't know why we keep going with head coaches from smaller, unproven schools instead of assistants that have been at the top. That's just me, though.
