Freshmen running back trio creating excitement

Not sure if this has been brought up any place else... but could you imagine if we ran the inverted wishbone or diamond formation with these three in the backfield and Burkhead taking the snaps?! Even Turner for that matter... not sure about anyone else but i wouldnt want to be the d coordinator of the opposing team
Or you could, you know, run it with the fastest guy on the offense, Martinez.

"Back in the day, when we were running the football, we always had great I-backs. Are you kidding me?" said Brown, the veteran Nebraska assistant who's beginning his first year coaching running backs."

Back in the day, when we were winning and we had an offense that really worked. Let's run the damn ball!

back in the day we had the best offensive line in football....

Have you noticed our recruiting? We're on the way back to loading up on road-graders in a big way.

Heck, even with a devasted injury racked Oline NU's Rex/Roy/Tmart ran for over 3,000 yds last year. We're getting close to finally developing depth in our OLine and we'll be steamrolling people again. You'll love it!

GBR!!

Wonder which one of the 3 is most liely to redshirt.. IMO all of them could play right off the bat.

True... i was mainly talking about the three backs. I dont think it would matter who was taking the snaps honestly.

The RB's are only going to get better as the o-line gets deeper and more experienced. We brought in 5 guys with massive potential this year. Next year we are looking to bring in 3 more... including 4star Paul Thurston who could be a great guard and we have a very good shot at 5star Andrus Peat at Tackle. Going into 2012 we could easily have a 2 deep of freshmen, redshirt freshmen, and sophomores alone if you count Jake Cotton, Mike Moudy, and Mark Pelini.

Braylon Heard :worship

Have heard that Ameer is looking damm good as well.
I stand by my prediction:

1. Heard

2. Abdullah

3. Green
Agreed. I think Heard is going to be the guy. Mainly because of the road he had to go through to get to Lincoln and having that extra year for him to mature physically. I think he is going to be a pleasant surprise. I would love to be able to RS Abdullah or Green or both. Building depth for the future is key.

I've been hearing Austin Jones has looked solid and that him being a contributor will make it easier to redshirt 1 or 2 of the frosh.

Cant find anything on this, but has Curenski moved back to WR during fall camp or has he stayed at RB like he had been in the spring?

Cure sat with the RBs at Fan Day. <--- Click for full-size pic

You can see that he used his Sharpie to add the /WR to his name sheet.
