Gotta give props to Beck, a guy who took a lot of criticism... this offense looks really good. I probably wouldn't be saying that if we were playing Tiddly Winks State or whatever, but USM had 12 wins last year. Offense gets an A right now.

Defense, on the other hand, gets a grade of F right now.

 
Offense is looking good. Taylor looks leaps and bounds better than last year.

Defense looks meh. Seen more bad plays than good ones. Camstache missed a big tackle on 3rd and long. UGH!

Overall I think we played a decent half. Special teams miscues have been the only thing major wrong with our team. That's 6 points not on our side of the scoreboard, plus 7 for them.

I guess we still use the read and react on the d-line. The defensive front will have to get much better or we will be in trouble against Wisc. and MSU's runningbacks.

 
Can't keep making excuses for the defensive (or any other) woes. I don't care if we had tape on these guys or not. Man up and play and do your job. How many missed tackles were there in that first half? Reminded me of the Florida Gators in the 96 Fiesta Bowl.

 
Defense looked out of position. Hopefully that's something that can be fixed at the half. Except Meredith. Dude cant tackle.

 
If the older players can't get it done on the D-Line, put in the young mules and let them get some experience.

 
Don't forget, USM had a dropped pass that would have surely been a TD, but they were forced to settle for a FG.

Why not if they're getting shredded anyways? This looks eerily similar to last year. Except for a few plays, there was no pressure and a lot of patty-cake.

What is your address? I will gladly FedEx them to you. 1 bottle of each will have a little less than the other bottles. I can't bear to toss beer. Unless it's Coors Light, I can at least water my garden with that.

I'm opening the golf course tomorrow morning, Riverchase Golf Club in Coppell, I'll keep 'em cold and bring them with me, even throw in a free bucket of balls if you really want 'em. I tried, but am unable to consume. Blue Moon sampler. I'm serious. :cheers

 
Just checking in at halftime, been watching NU play a bit on my other screen. Didn't see it all so I don't know what happened with USM's second TD but your offense looks damn good. Looks like Taylor's offseason work has payed off...I see Rex is out. What happened with that?
