Is anyone actually going to the game?!?!??

Gonna be there with the wife.  I don't know.  Am excited still but not as for some reason.  It's been a weird week in Huskerland.

At this point wherever I am it would be really really cool if we came out and actually played well and got the W.  Thinking it would go a loong ways even against an unranked Illinois.

I'll be there. Never been to Champaign before so not sure what to expect.

  2. I don't understand the hate. The university has nothing to do with this. Looks like a doc that explores what happened last year and seems to have mostly Ohio State people interviewed in it.

All kidding aside wtf is going on?

An off campus throwback (OU logo with an N?) patriotic/sept 11/armed forces themed single use football jersey “reveal party” being thrown at a church?

I’m not a rocket surgeon but I’m not following this at all.

I don't think the reveal was at a church... just used their parking lot for parking.

I would agree with this sentiment.  The lack of a consistent and winning on-field product for more than a decade with the lack of attention from a younger fan base will likely end the sellout streak.  Younger fans want to two-screen (Memes / IMs / Texts) while having the game on in the background.  This younger group is also completed disconnected from any program success.  While a sad fact, the gameday experience for families will soon fade to obscurity.

In terms of Trev, I like the hire.  I am not certain it changes our situation on-field in the short term, but it does give needed stability to the athletic department and boosters.

IDK my 16 year old cousin is a die hard fan. She's super excited to go to a huskers game with me this year and she has been to 1-3 games a year since she was 8 or so. All she wants for her birthday is husker gear or husker hounds gift cards. Can't speak about other kids but I don't see your bolded statement in my life.

I agree but I don't treat it as a knock.

Our program identity is old school, nose to the ground, humble but proud hard work and isn't flashy. Flashy uniforms don't make sense for us, so the best creative decisions are the ones to keep it simple, then focus all the energy on good execution of the simple idea.

2012 - sucked, cheap and shiny and bad design elements

2013 - good idea, ruined by the busy-ness of the tire tread era

    2014 - pure garbage

    2015 - pure garbage

2016 - good design, good look, still poor material presentation with the duct tape esque striping and arbitrary cuts

    2017 - simple, but great

2018 - great (imo, i know not everyone liked it)

2019 - simple, but great - what 2013 should have been

    2020 - simple, but great

I see the last 4 years as similar to Ohio State's alternates. Rarely trying to redesign many elements, more mostly focusing on good color schemes.
