  1. Accepted or just penalties? I fully expect them to decline a holding when our RB gets hit for a 3 yard loss. Still take the over.

The alliance – which was unanimously supported by the presidents, chancellors and athletics directors at all 41 institutions – will be guided in all cases by a commitment to, and prioritization of, supporting student-athlete well-being, academic and athletic opportunities, experiences and diverse educational programming. The three conferences are grounded in their support of broad-based athletic programs, the collegiate model and opportunities for student-athletes as part of the educational missions of the institutions. The three conferences remain competitors in every sense but are committed to collaborating and providing thought leadership on various opportunities and challenges facing college athletics, including: Student-athlete mental and physical health, safety, wellness and support Strong academic experience and support Diversity, equity and inclusion Social justice Gender equity Future structure of the NCAA Federal legislative efforts Postseason championships and future formats The alliance includes a scheduling component for football and women’s and men’s basketball designed to create new inter-conference games, enhance opportunities for student-athletes, and optimize the college athletics experience for both student-athletes and fans across the country. The scheduling alliance will begin as soon as practical while honoring current contractual obligations. A working group comprised of athletic directors representing the three conferences will oversee the scheduling component of the alliance, including determining the criteria upon which scheduling decisions will be made. All three leagues and their respective institutions understand that scheduling decisions will be an evolutionary process given current scheduling commitments. The football scheduling alliance will feature additional attractive matchups across the three conferences while continuing to honor historic rivalries and the best traditions of college football. In women’s and men’s basketball, the three conferences will add early and mid-season games as well as annual events that feature premier matchups between the three leagues. The three conferences will also explore opportunities for the vast and exceptional Olympic Sports programs to compete more frequently and forge additional attractive and meaningful rivalries. The future scheduling component will benefit student-athletes and fans by offering new and memorable experiences that will extend coast-to-coast, across all time zones. The competition will bring a new level of excitement to the fans of the 41 schools while also allowing teams and conferences to have flexibility to continue to play opponents from other conferences, independents and various teams from other subdivisions. “The ACC, Big Ten and Pac-12 recognize the unique environment and challenges currently facing intercollegiate athletics, and we are proud and confident in this timely and necessary alliance that brings together like-minded institutions and conferences focused on the overall educational missions of our preeminent institutions,” said ACC Commissioner Jim Phillips. “The alliance will ensure that the educational outcomes and experiences for student-athletes participating at the highest level of collegiate athletics will remain the driving factor in all decisions moving forward.” “Student-athletes have been and will remain the focal point of the Big Ten, ACC and PAC-12 Conferences” said Big Ten Commissioner Kevin Warren. “Today, through this alliance, we furthered our commitment to our student-athletes by prioritizing our academics and athletics value systems. 3. $$$$. They are a Creighton station and Bish works for them. Would be silly to not try and talk about them as much as you can. That all being said, I really like Bishop and Josh from a personal stance, but when Kugler left, I lost a lot of interest. Kugler was A+
  4. Not awful. More heartbreaking losses or negative stuff on Bo. And honestly Bo brought all that crap on himself. They were tough on Bo because he treated media like crap for doing their job. Bo was a great coach but his failures were on him.
  5. Ya. I think I should fix what I said to say this was during the Bo era. They had success but couldnt get over the hump. I think the MR era changed more to apathy which doesnt help with views/clicks. You are 100% correct that enough bad seasons and you will start to lose people. Bo was great for ratings.
  6. 2012 I think. And that was Neil Nelkin. He has since retired. He is a great guy . He was just honest that the station got more clicks when they did poorly... Well, there is a line. I think Riley created Apathy. He was more saying that during the Bo days.
  7. Well, we aint them.... I produced the very first year of Big Red Over-reaction and I can tell you the busiest days were always after a loss. WAY more action and people calling to complain.
  8. Actually 1620 bosses would prefer mayhem... I know that because the program director flat out told me that when I worked there for a couple years. He wasnt a Husker fan and he said them losing equaled a ton more callers/more anger and more people listening in to hear why they sucked. I think the "talent" wants them to do well because it does get exhausting talking about negativity.. but in terms of "clicks" and interaction- things like the frost scandal are great for them. So I guess I will backoff some of my stance of the local media wants them to do well when it comes to the leadership and those that track views/clicks/downloads. I do think most of the actual media want them to do well tho
  9. Lars doesnt work in the Nebraska Media. I think he is just a fan. He is hit or miss because I think he only has 1 source. He also tends to lead with stuff without verifying. Benning is pretty connected but I dont think he can share what he knows and I think DB wants Nebraska to be good, so I doubt he is rooting for a scandal. Overall I think most of the Nebraska Media is a "fan" and I doubt they want bad press. Nebraska Media is way less negative or aggressive than about 90% of sports media elsewhere. It is their job to report the news, and some Nebraska fans seem to get butthurt about that.
  10. Let me answer your first question- a Lot of value. Texas had enough value to make their own network. Oklahoma has had a tremendous level of success. You could argue they will be in the top tier in the SEC in terms of moving the needle.
  11. I disagree when it comes to the 30/30 or E60 series and that is what I was talking about. They want to make money, but I also think they spend a lot of money to make sure the content/story is told correctly. The series is tremendously well done and they have also chosen some unpopular or unknown sports to highlight.
  12. Of course ESPN is looking to make money.. from advertising and creating strong content to get more viewers. This guy is basically pandering to an audience to get a quick buck when I dont think he really has much to offer true insight. I am well aware that everything(mostly) is driven by money.
  13. I am a big fan of the 30/30 or E60 type productions that deep dive into scandals. I think the inner-workings of last years season/no season/lawsuits/season would be interesting but this guy seems like he is just trying to get money and maybe the reason networks wouldnt take it on is because he didnt actually have any sources. I think it is great to talk to people like Erin Sorenson who follow the Huskers, but all she can do is speculate. Unless you have someone on the inside with actual information, it is a fluff piece at best. The face he is also asking for money while spouting "Nebraska saved the big ten" seems like he is pandering. I am not nearly as concerned as others that this will hurt the Nebraska program because I highly doubt anyone apart of the program is talking.
  14. We should shake it up and do a different country's flag.... Really keep people on their toes.
  15. I have high expectations for this team. Top 6 in B1G and Tournament bid and first ever win is what I am hoping for.
  16. The OL and DL are the biggest areas I want to see them move the needle this season. I feel like they have recruited well for both positions. Need to see that pay off for this team to have a chance.
  17. Special place in hell for someone who does that. Piece of human garbage.
  18. Are you sure about that? I dont think you give a struggling coach a loud voice... They might but he is done ZERO to earn it.
  19. Most people around these parts usually prefer to bring up the trainwrecks more than the so/so. The fact he is somewhat forgettable isnt the worst thing in the world.
  20. Those seem like the easy rumors to start(not by you) when someone leaves like this.... No idea if it is true or not, but my guess is Moos just got tired of the day-to-day... but who knows. The timing is weird given his past comments.
  21. Nebraska media is always so weird. They clearly know A LOT more than they share but I think they are scared to break it and have the university shut them out/fans turn on them. In other markets, you might have multiple teams to cover, so maybe you can toe the line but here they so rarely come forward--or they are just bluffing.
