  1. I am putting them here because I know it will trigger people on this board. So lets try to deal with the information provided via hyperlinks, instead of bashing the news site ad hominem as "far right" blah blah blah. It is no coincidence that a large part of Big 10 schools come from blue states. It definitely is a topic for conversation regardless of what side of the aisle you are. College sports was supposed to be one of the last remaining entertaining things to do, without religion and politics shoved down peoples throat. Regardless, I hope Nebraska does something. It sucks being held hostage. "Michigan is reportedly supposed to be one of the six schools involved in this plan, but Democratic Gov. Gretchen Whitmer, architect of one of the most severe COVID-19 lockdowns in the nation, is allegedly opposed to football in the state as things stand now. “I also was also told that one roadblock to the new plan is the fact that Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer has been vehemently opposed to football being played—at the high school and college level – in the state this fall,” Snook reported. Whitmer is on record in months past as saying there needs to be a widely available vaccine and mass quantities of tests available to determine when “we have some immunity built up.” The most optimistic estimates for when a vaccine might be available point to the end of the year. Michigan is still limiting indoor gatherings to 10 or fewer people, and bars are are closed for indoor service. Outdoor gatherings are limited to 100 or fewer people". https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2020/08/hey-michigan-voters-confirmed-governor-gretchen-whitmer-shut-michigan-big-ten-football/ "Amy Klobuchar: Um, oh no, I actually talked to the University of Minnesota President about this. President [Joan T. A.] Gabel I like her a lot and she actually tried everything to make things open as much as we can including classes at the university. But you know what – you have to keep people safe and we know that these large crowds and people together are what’s causing these outbreaks and it’s sad because we all want to be together. We all want to get back". https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2020/08/breaking-exclusive-minnesota-senator-amy-klobuchar-brags-calling-university-minnesota-president-urging-shut-big-ten-football-video/
  2. "Experts" believe OSU is in with a win or a loss. Most believe with conviction OSU best represents the BIG even with a Wisconsin win. Nobody in the media remotely considers the lowly Badgers in the CFP even with a win this weekend. Yet, the Badgers are the nations highest ranked 2 loss team. It got me thinking, are we in the the most opportunistic or most difficult conference? To think the Huskers could get 2 losses, get blown out by OSU, have a bad out of conference schedule, and lose to another mediocre BIG West team, and potentially be looking at a situation where Wisconsin is right now (yes, on the outside looking in, but nothing to cry too long about) is interesting. I know, the problem is getting to only 2 losses. I'm hoping for chaos this weekend.
