Any chance Helfrich ends up as some kind of offensive analyst for Frost until he finds another OC job?

That would be really interesting.  Nebraska really hasn't used analysts much (if at all) since Frost took over.  I wonder if some of that is Frost just finding his sea legs as a HC and not necessarily wanting to bring in ex HCs even in analyst roles.  Obviously Alabama can do it because Saban rules that place with an iron fist.

I know Mississippi State fans. Moorhead sounds like Mike Riley.

He was a strange hire from the beginning. Never coached anywhere near the South. He still was able to pull in Top 25 classes in back to back years. He's more confrontational than MR with some of the things he's said. Really great with the playbook and schemes.

I was hearing he wasn't making everyone practice and was very lax with discipline. There was some other stuff too but I didn't quite get the full story

Is the University under the requirement to list all jobs including sports to allow people to apply? Obviously coaches and people with this experience aren't sending out random resumes.

Yeah, I recall from years past that coaching jobs are posted like any other job at the University.

Being that Walters hasn't proven squat here as a coach I don't really care if he wouldn't go for it. Helfrich is a top-notch OC and Walters can definitely be replaced as a wr-coach.  With a real OC Frost could be much more involved in the team as a whole.

Probably wont happen, Frost wants to run the offense.  Walthers works well in that structure, I don't see any changes there.
