I learned that we actually do suck and that the sooner this coaching staff is replaced the sooner we might have a shot at returning to something resembling football. This was pathetic on all fronts. No redeeming qualities whatsoever.14 points

Funny how Eichorst changed his stance on saying anything during the season when it is his coach that is under fire, what a POS8 points

Yes, why would one of the greatest programs in CFB history consider firing a coach who just lost to a MAC school, and has started 1-2 in two of his first three seasons.... That'd be crazy.7 points

Offense - The Nebraska football program is in year 9 of having a liability at QB Where the F is Ozigbo? Receivers are rarely open Blocking inconsistent Stanley Morgan is a Savage Blocker. Defense - 7 points allowed means nothing. This offense wasn't good AT ALL. They are going to get steam rolled. Reed is not good enough to play with one arm Soft coverage doesn't work, but we are going to stick with it. Special Teams Punt return...WTF? Overall They just play bad football. We are a joke. There are enough good players on this team to perform well. I have a similar feeling in this game as did watching Callahan get dismantled by Oklahoma State. I'm done with Riley. This will never work. I laughed when people suggested Frost a few years ago. I feel like an idiot now. Les Miles in the booth....Woof6 points

If Bielema gets anywhere near this program i will have to find another team to root for. I'd rather just fold the football program.4 points

I never trusted him...i remember saying "WHO THE HELL IS THAT??" when they hired him.4 points

The sad part about the 5 wins, is that's what Riley would have had his first year if it weren't for NU having a great academic record under Bo so they were able to back-door into the bowl game.4 points

What happens next is that Eichorst gets fired. That is essentially the starting point for Riley to be released.4 points

Ok, sunshine is still welcome after days like today, but your last five words prove you've lost touch with reality and are in some world of denial4 points

It doesn't matter. If the 2 big sports (football and basketball) are not going well, and they generate the most revenue and attention for a program, that is all that really matters.4 points

I will say this, if Mike Riley is let go at the end of this season I hope whoever we hire next finds a way to keep Coach Parella on staff...and not just because he's a former Blackshirt. That man can recruit & he can coach.4 points

I swear I could drop this team in a barrel of boobs and they would come out sucking their thumbs.4 points

If you still think this coaching staff is a good fit here at Nebraska, then there is no hope for you.4 points

I think with SE speaking after the game it is pretty clear. Riley is gone after this season unless he wins all the rest of the games with the exception of OSU and PSU.3 points

Oregon was one of the best rushing teams in college football under Chip Kelly. Chip's offense is a run first offense.3 points

He's not that stupid. There's no buyout if he resigns. This 64-year-old gym teacher simply came here for a multimillion dollar retirement package.3 points

Bring in Rimington, or Alberts. Bring in Scott Frost. Give him a blank check for assistants, and let's get this damn thing turned around.3 points

Guys--S&C isn't the issue here. Offensive line players whiffing on their blocks, looking clueless on the line, not helping the RBs with downfield/secondary blocks, or exerting their effort on power plays is the problem. This sits squarely with Cavanaugh and Langsdorf--if you're looking for people to terminate, start with these two. But let's lay off S&C when that isn't even the issue--we can have the strongest players in FBS Football, but if they don't know their assignments or what's going on, if they don't know how to help their teammates out downfield, then it doesn't really matter how quality their S&C is.3 points

to answer your question, history teaches us nothing so it is the same as before. Eichorst= Pederson, Riley = Callahan, no difference in results between the two groups- oh wait, Callahan took us to a conference championship......sorry its worse3 points

That our AD, coach, and entire football program needs dismantled and reassembled with people who are as hungry for wins and a quality program as we all are. That this is what happens when you don't want to pay for quality coaching. That bad coaching is a cancer to our team.3 points

The only thing that would save this season for Riley for me is if he won the Big Ten West.3 points

I can no longer be patient and accepting of this staff. I tried so long with Pelini and I can no longer do it with this staff. God Damn....just a sick feeling!!3 points

If they can Riley after this season, it'll be because it was the plan all along, and they'll have their guy all lined up. I'm not so sure this Athletic Department is that clever.3 points

You should refrain from starting and/or posting unsubstantiated rumors about the Head Coach's wife. This is the sort of disgusting behavior I alluded to in my previous post. You are better than this.3 points
