I'd read more of the Journal Star if Sipple wrote like they did back in the Twenties.

The horseshoe was found when they started tearing down the grounds of the old Nebraska field after the 1922 Notre Dame win (4 horsemen game) Which was the last game at the old field before moving to Memorial Stadium for 1923. So when the team played Notre Dame for the rematch in 1923 they tapped the horseshoe for good luck. Nebraska won again so they kept right on tapping that shoe.

You'll all make fun of me for this, but I genuinely know nothing about Kanye West. I know the name, I know he's married to Kim Kardashian, they have kids, and he's a musician. I have no idea about this guy other than this. So when this whole Kanye situation came up, I ignored it because the guy isn't on my radar. I live a Kanye-free life. So in that context I see this video that got retweeted onto my timeline. This is Kanye West?

He doesn't have to think it. He has to make his followers think it. And judging by comments we see right here, they buy every word that comes out of this guy's mouth.

How much of a moron do you have to be to think this? If you try to stop people whose job it is to decide innocence or guilt, you've obstructed justice regardless of whether or not you're guilty of a crime. Trump has tweeted repeatedly that he wants the investigation to stop, and any attempts to force it to stop (e.g. firing Comey? he's admitted at least once it was because of the investigation) are obstruction even if he is innocent of the topic of the investigation. I've said it many times - I don't think Trump colluded. I think the investigation hurt(s) his ego and because of that he obstructed justice.

It's why you maximize and try to sign them in the early signing period.

Ohio St is really the only one I'd put in another group, that's a very tough one. Michigan is that catalyst game....don't expect to win it, but if you do then it can create a positive snowball.

I've made the point Mav is making several times, it's a great point. The reason it's not more commonly cited is because SOS filters are designed to be universal. But they are not, or maybe you could say shouldn't be, because some games it doesn't matter much if it's at home or not due to the margin between teams. It's a difficult schedule either way, but I think Nebraska can run the home slate, I really do. Troy will get everyone's attention after last year and they lose a lot of experienced production. Great coach, though, glad this one is early. Michigan St is another one circled, but I just don't have much respect for them. There is just such a gulf between what people think of them and their actual production in about any given year. It's like they get the respect of a blue blood with the expectations of a mid major. One of my favorite metrics is yards per play differential, you'll see me cite it a lot when trying to evaluate how good a team is compared to their record. Michigan St was a 10 win team....out gained their opponents by +0.3 yards per play. Your typical top 10 caliber team is in the 1.5-2.0 ypp range. Riley's best year, his first, was at +0.2. (Cited for context) By Pythagorean win expectation, another good "double check metric" Michigan St expected win total was 8-5 last year. The home game that scares me as much as any is Purdue. They had such a difficult time last year converting on plays that were there for the taking. They were overvalued, IMO, last year, but they fit the profile of a team that should be much better.

Don't forget that ole samich eater Eric Crouch. He had the audacity to eat a $4 ham sandwich—an infraction that caused quite a stir within the halls of the ncaa.

The sooner your son realizes that some people get advantages in sports due to their insane talent or size, the better. Yeah, it's not always fair, but in most cases talent trumps everything.

What makes you think we’re in a spot to be picky? If a talented player, especially one that fills a giant need, wants N we shouldn’t turn him away. Mistakes were made. He paid the price and deserves a second chance imo

I think that's fairly well-reasoned. I'm still sitting at a best case scenario of 7, maybe eight wins. I would be a tad surprised and a little disappointed with anything five wins or less.
