  2. I thought for sure one of the following would make an appearance: Blatantly using the office for personal gain. Refusing to acknowledge ongoing Russian interference in our elections, except in one tweet where he said the Russians would be working against him (LOL) Regularly pulling us further from the global community Pulls every single statement straight out of his ass with no regard for fact whatsoever and is the purest embodiment of fake news Obstruction of justice Emboldened white supremacists everywhere (you keep sharing that video where he calls them thugs, but he backpedaled and called them "very fine people" the next day) Legitimatized Kim with an online pissing match followed by actually meeting him Active efforts to divide the country Seems to get all of his intelligence from Fox News

  3. I've changed more than you'll ever know in the past year. For one I got a lot fatter but I digress. I wish you would just stop the charade. You don't own conservatism, you don't own the GOP, you don't own the Republican caucus. The people do. The same people that make up the Democratic party, and the same people who are independents. When one of us looses, we all lose. You're not "owning libs" when you make dishonest arguments, you're simply fooling yourself and alienating those who see things a little differently, that with an honest discussion could have found a middle ground with you.

  5. Not true. You regularly lump all Libs and Dems into one category if it suits your narrative .

  7. We have played recently, and will play soon, the following in the non conference: 2000-2001 we played Notre Dame 2002-2003 we played Penn State 2004-2005 we played Pitt/Southern Miss then Pitt/Wake Forest 2006-2007 we played USC 2008-2009 we played Virginia Tech 2010-2011 we played Washington 2012-2013 we played UCLA 2014-2015 we played Miami 2016-2017 we played Oregon 2018-2019 we play Colorado 2021-2022 we play Oklahoma 2026-2027 we play Tennessee (this was originally scheduled for much much earlier but they reneged and rescheduled it down the road, don't remember why) Obviously a number of them weren't great when we played them but also obviously nobody hardly has control over that. Iowa State has been the toughest non-con team you've played in all but maybe... 5 of your last 18 or so seasons?

  8. One thing that should concern all Americans is the growing anger from the Left that is promoting or resorting to violence since Trump was elected. I fully understand Trump used fiery rhetoric at rallies in 2016 and condemn those too, but the trend since Trumps election against Republicans is prevalent and downright scary. 1. June 14 2017-A Progressive maniac opens fire at a GOP baseball practice which could have killed all Republican members there had the Capitol Police not been present, including my local Congressman who is a family friend. 2. November 4, 2017-A neighbor who sympathizes with the left assaulted Rand Paul breaking his ribs among other injuries he suffered. 3. June 2018-Democrat Maxine Waters calls on Liberals to not allow Republicans to eat or sleep and stated "If you see anybody from the Cabinet in a restsurant, dept store, or gas station, get out and create a crowd and push back on them and tell them they are not welcome anymore, anywhere." 4. June 2018-Sarah Sanders told to leave restaurant where she and family were enjoying a meal. 5. July 2018-Cory Booker delivers speech encouraging crowd to "Get up in the face" of Congress officials they dont agree with. 6. Mitch McConell chased out of restaurant by angry left mob. 7. GOP House Candidate Rudy Peters attacked by man with switchblade by man screaming "Fu*k Trump." 8. Ted Cruz and wife chased out of restaurant by angry left mob. 9. October 2018-Hillary Clinton promotes the lack of civility on the Left and states that civility can start again onky if the Dems take control. In other words its ok for Progressives to continue to be uncivil if they are not in power. 10. October 2018-Former Obama Atty General states that, "when the opposition goes low, we kick them." This is just a short list and does not include the over the top tactics we have seen from some comedians and members of Hollywood as well as in recent weeks in DC with the Kavanugh hearings. We have also seen Antifa and other left wing radical groups use their tactics to shut down free speech by Conservative voices like Ben Shapiro and others. I am fully supportive of peaceful protests in our nation but it appears that key voices in the left are pushing for intimidation and confrontation instead of peaceful protests. I am in full agreement with Rand Paul that somebody is going to get seriously injured or killed if this trend continues....and he is speaking from experience.

  11. No, you only have to go back to last year. Stop being so obtuse. Your "point" is ridiculously and completely asinine when both sides have similar issues the last two presidents. The only difference is the head of one party never actively called for violent actions to be taken by his followers or the government itself. That head was your much loathed Barrack Obama. He is a better human in every regard than Donald Trump. Deal with it.

  16. 2018 Game 6 “Expert” Picks: Nebraska @ Northwestern ————— CollegeFootballNews.com https://collegefootballnews.com/2018/10/nebraska-vs-northwestern-fearless-prediction-game-preview-2 One Reason Why Nebraska Will Win Look past the 0-5 start. There are a whole lot of good things happening, and it stars with the passing game. Adrian Martinez is getting better by the week, coming off his injury and his horrendous game against Michigan to throw for 323 yards against Purdue and connect for 384 against Wisconsin. He’s been great, but he’s getting help for the best 1-2 receiving punch outside of anything Ohio State can throw out there. Stanley Morgan has been fantastic, and JD Speilman is playing at an All-Big Ten level over the last few weeks, catching ten passes against Purdue and lighting up the Badgers for 209 yards. There’s firepower on this Husker team. There’s little on Northwestern. There’s no running game for the Wildcats now without Jeremy Larkin, and while the O line has been okay, it’s going to have a problem against a Nebraska defensive front that’s outstanding at getting behind the line. One Reason Why Northwestern Will Win There’s the Clayton Thorson we’ve been waiting for. After being a big off in the first two games, he turned it loose in the loss to Akron, and hit Michigan State for 373 yards, connecting on 31-of-47 passes with a whole slew of big plays. The Nebraska pass rush has been okay, but the secondary was hit hard by Purdue’s David Blough, and Colorado’s Steven Montez there for 351 yards. Thorson is going to throw at least 45 times, and he’ll open it up. Best of all for Northwestern, it can count on Nebraska imploding. There’s almost never a good time for a penalty, but the Huskers have a wonderful way of crushing momentum with an ill-timed flag. No one gets flagged more. The Huskers have committed ten penalties or more in every game – ENOUGH with the hands to the face calls, guys. Northwestern? It’s No. 1 in America in fewest penalties committed. What’s Going To Happen Nebraska is really, really, really close to breaking through. It’s not going to have much fun against the tough teams with the great running games, but it can hang around with the passing teams. But this is the week it’ll finally happen. Northwestern has won both its road games, lost all of its three of its home games. That’s just a quirk, but it’s about to continue. For one game, Nebraska won’t commit double-digit penalties, Martinez will make enough plays in the second half to get ahead, and Thorson will turn it over twice to seal Scott Frost’s first win. 18. I'm not talking about immigration and I'm not talking about you. I'm talking about Trump being a racist. That's been proven. And you support him. That doesn't make you a racist. But it makes you someone who actively supports a racist.

  19. You literally titled this thread "The Angry Violent Left" and proceeded to complain about not being served at a couple of restaurants. If you expect fair dialogue, start doing it yourself.

  20. Yes to all four of these. I'll add: He tried to reason with the Republicans even though he knew they were unreasonably opposed to him from the day he took office. He failed to properly address immigration He bungled the handling of the information showing Russia was meddling in the 2016 election And probably the worst of all: He talked Joe Biden out of running in 2016

  22. One thing I thought of when throwing out labels of right and left. @BigRedBuster is a right leaning poster. You are to his right and he your left. It's an over generalization to label everyone left of your belief system as the angry violent left. There are extremes on both sides. I'm sure as someone who leans hard right @HuskerNation1, there are those on your side that lean harder and are more radicalized. I personally don't ask you to account for their actions. I'm personally a centrist and can't boil all of my stances into one party. Found this article today which seemed fairly on topic. https://www.yahoo.com/news/smack-talk-politicians-trade-charges-whos-being-uncivil-042351028--election.html Both sides have stoked these fires. Though he may not have been the one to invent these tactics, Trump sure embraces their use.

  25. Iowa has been to one B1G Championship Game. This does not constitute the West "[going] through Iowa." Iowa is what it is, which is an above-average program (7.5 wins per season under Kirk Ferentz) that strings together a double-digit win season every several years.

  27. I have zero problem with Democrats supporting the issues BLM is trying to address.....while condemning the violent side. Funny thing is, Republicans don't even want non-violent protests against those issues. So...is it just that Republicans are angry any time a black person protests no matter if it's violent or non-violent?

  34. Stop deflecting BRB...I stated above I did not condone Trumps rhetoric in 2016 and am talking about a TREND among MANY different voices on the Democratic side SINCE Trumps election. If you want to deflect to bash Trump why dont you just create a new thread titled "I hate Trump" and include everything you are angry about. Now if you care to respond to the 10 examples I provided feel free to do so in this thread.

    2 points
  43. There is a lot of evidence Riley let kids slack off. Very little off season lifting, messy planes and locker rooms, a lot of standing around during practice, little player leadership or accountable culture. These aren't the only reasons we're struggling but they're a big part.
