For someone who claims to have a law degree, you should know the difference between "proven false" and "not proven" and between "believe" and "proven". You claim that Kavanaugh's accusers have been "proven false", which means you have the burden of proving that statement. I suspect you can't do that and that you've once again confused your beliefs and opinions with "proof".

It’s that eye test. A couple years ago when the Riley team got off to that good start, people who are fans of other teams would come up to me and say “Looks like you guys are on the way back”. It's a reason you'll almost never see me evaluate a team based on wins. Lots of noise in the data. We've just found a lot of ways to lose. Regardless of our final record, you'll see lots of preseason lists next year with us predicted to be most improved. We are doing a lot of things that lead to winning, and over time that will show.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned the decrease in penalties and turnovers. We were positive in the turnover margin on Saturday and didn't have as many offensive penalties that wound up stalling drives. Whenever that's the case, you're usually in a position to win the game.

With Martinez, Nebraska is the team the rest of the Big 10 West worries about in the next few years, combined with the Frost spread. He's developing into a Patrick Mahomes. Wish we had Martinez, or that he was in another conference.

A big factor in the line play is that they are finally playing in a scheme that actually helps the O line. When the defense knows the play is either going to be a drop back pass...or....have a slow hand off to the RB running between the tackles.....it's pretty dang tough to block. Now....the defense is constantly questioning where the ball is going to go and to whom. That makes it much easier for the O line to get position, leverage and numbers.

Speaking of defense - we have 1.2 takeways per game. Last 3 games we have 2 takeaways per game. We are 83rd in takeaways per game, but tied for ~21st in most takeaways over the past 3 games. We are 107th in turnover margin on the season, but tied for ~36th over the past 3 games. The main reason I was okay with Chin coming here was that the defense got takeaways. UCF gave a lot of yards but they got the ball for their offense. If we can continue the trend of increasing takeaways it would go a long way. (They also need to give up less yards but I’m withholding judgement until next season). Also, we are 109th in scoring defense, but 85th over the past 3 games. Ya, it still sucks. But it’s getting better.

I said all off season we had the most talent in the West, because I believe in the recruiting rankings in general although I know there are lots of individual exceptions. My argument was we had talent but it hasn't been coached well. But when we went 0-6 I really started to question it. I still think we probably do have talent but it needed more than 8 months worth of coaching to show. We'll see next year what our juniors and seniors do and that'll answer the question better. Some of these guys already look a lot more talented now than they did in September. It's not like they gained in talent overnight. That talent was always there, but they were doing stupid things a lot more often before.

Special team is were our lack of deep talent shows the most. Ohio state could play very talented players on special teams because they have great depth. We can not play our best players on special teams cause we can’t risk having a key player getting hurt.

I know Suh was amazing at NU, but that ‘09 Defense was more than just him. From my memory, there was at least 6 other guys (Crick, Hagg, Prince, Dennard, Gomes, and Dillard) who spent time in the NFL from that defense. This year doesn’t have talent all over the field.

Ignore everyone who disagrees with you or who presents a different point of view. That’s a surefire method of making sure you never learn anything.

Do you have multiple personalities. In one thread you are making posts that you can’t trust Frost to win any Big Ten games, but then you make this post where you expect NU to win out. I almost think you are just making this post to be even more fake mad if NU does lose one of the last 3 games.
