  1. Why was she looking at the Nebraska team and not waving at the kids?

  9. Personally think Frost inherited a bigger mess than Pelini. Frost had to deal with a team that had little to no accountability; was severely out of shape; a 2017 class that has been completely wiped out; and arguably more physical league. Pelini had his difficulties, but no where near the issues Frost inherited.

  10. I don't think you understand or appreciate "pocket passing." It's just a pass play. Quarterback drops back, receivers go out, and the more time they have, chances are they get deeper and/or more open. If a QB can hold his ground one extra second, good things can happen. If the pocket is collapsing, he can scramble. And because it's a pass play, an athletic QB can take advantage of the big cushion of green that calling a pocket pass created. That's not "swimming upstream." It's just good football. And it looks like our freshman QB is good at all phases. I would have called a few more QB draws myself, but Scott Frost was the highly coveted offensive guru, not me. Or you.

  11. Looking for her 15 minutes of fame. Then tweeted at Chrissy Teigen, in attempts to I'm sure get some sort of mention. Quite sad she's using children, and more specifically childhood cancer, to try and gain attention and notoriety. Fudge her.

  13. Now she's making fun of Husker fans her age talking about our national championships because they weren't even a year old the last time Nebraska won one. I want one of them to reply "How old were you the last time Iowa won a national championship?"

  14. Yeah she is getting called out and backtracking but refusing to admit she was wrong. Just a bitter, sad human being.

  17. Not really sure what point you’re trying to make. I couldn’t care less what Kentucky fans do/say on Twitter. My concern is that our fans continually seem to berate kids that choose other schools and it makes us look bad. I don’t really care if other fan bases do the same, I want us to be better.

  18. Which is absolutely surprising, given how much vitriol our fans were spewing at him. Maybe they should learn to stay off twitter and let the coaches continue the recruiting game?

  20. Check the hawkeye boards for a husker fan whining after we beat that booty next year. Oh wait there won't be one because we will be too busy making travel plans to Indianapolis.

  22. I have never heard such a huge bunch of babies like Iowa after after a win. We won and Nebraska hurt my feelings. Man up like your women. Act like you have won before....

  25. I would rather have the team excited and pumped up for the game, rather than laying down and “losing with class” it showed under Riley. Nothing wrong with being pumped up for a team the players feel like is a rival.

  26. Thanks, Mary Pat. Not being heartbroken about the firing of Bo shouldn’t be confused with being happy subsequent hiring of Riley and the mess that he created after taking over the NU program. I don’t get what your point about coming on this board is all about.

  27. I think there are at least 3-4 more wins next year simply because the team comes in more confident and knowledgeable in the systems, what is expected and what it takes to win. Plus, you put these players (especially linemen on both sides) in the strength program another year. These guys show up tomorrow knowing what to expect in off season work outs and motivated to put in the work. Accountability is in the program day one. It’s not something Frost and company have to instill over the summer. That should make results bigger this off season. Im really excited to see what Washington is like after a year of strength training. He should look more like an RB instead of a WR. More power. I belive double digit wins are possible but wouldn’t be surprised at 8 or 9 wins.

  30. I think we can get to 8-9 wins next season. We should have had 6 wins and a bowl game this year but stuff happened. The offense is on its way. We need to get to that Oregon level when Frost was there and the points just keep coming. Lots of depth still needed before we get there but you can see it's headed in the right direction. Defense has lots of holes to fill. In today's football it favors the offenses. Look at how the speed of OSU just killed the vaunted Michigan defense. If OU and WVU could play some defense they would be scary. Oregon never won it all because they never had the defense to do so. Alabama, Clemson, and OSU have figured it out. We need to create a top 20 defense and we will be in the hunt every year. Those teams all have had dominant DL's over the years making high powered offenses uncomfortable. We need some wreckers on the DL and watch how good the secondary suddenly becomes. We need some stud Blackshirts to bring that back. Mo Barry had it consistently this year. Recruiting is where it is at. I have always said we need to finish in the top 15 in recruiting if we want to be contending year in and year out for Big 10 Championships. Not settle for a top 23 class...top 15. We should NOT have trouble recruiting: 1) Probably have the most stable coaching staff in the country. Frost is here to stay. Look around the BIG...Franklin, Meyer, Brohm, Harbaugh, Smith...all likely gone before the next class of freshman complete their college careers. 2) When we recruit top freshman they play big time, hello Adrian Martinez and Maurice Washington. 3) We can contend to win our division every year. 4) Unparalleled fan base and support. 5) Every game on national TV. 6) High powered offense to play in. 7) Attacking defense to play in (Blackshirts not there yet). 8) Tremendous tradition. It's time to get our recruits

  34. Yes, he doesn’t point out that fact, but he does show that NU ranked about the same or better than other major football programs, including 2 of them (Stanford and Va Tech) who a lot of people think they have stingy defenses. EDIT: NU ranked 109 in Yards Per Play allowed in 2017 with 6.3. So not only did NU cut that number by half a yard per play this year, but improved its rankings over 30 spots in national rankings. All this while using many holdover players from the Riley/Diaco era.

  39. We learned that some people apparently think a defensive culture and horrible recruiting can (should) be fixed in one season. We improved tons this year on defense compared to last year. "[Chinander] needs to find himself a new job" is 200% wrong. Give the man a couple of recruiting cycles before saying stuff like that. Some people's kids, man.
