Texas comes to our home, changed everything around, steals our girlfriend and pushes us out. Now they are going to bring our ex to our new house and try to be our roommate?! Why can't we avoid these dicks?6 points

I think Jaylin Bradley is going to leave. With that loss, to go with Devine, Mikale, and Bell leaving early, ideally you would like to bring in at least three guys. So we have Deidrick Mills, Rahmir Johnson, and Ronald Thompkins. So now let's break them down. Mills Two years of eligibility remaining, and had a really good freshman year at GT. He isn't a secret and will generate a lot of buzz when he gets on campus. Mills might not be a two year guy. If he runs for over 1,000 yards next year, the pros will come calling. That Freshman year really helps him in that scenario. Even if he does stay both, you have to recruit a RB alongside him always for balance. Rahmir Johnson Rahmir Johnson is going to be in more of a traditional RB role than people think. He might have instances where he plays the Duck R, but I fully expect him to take handoffs mostly. Also, I think he plays as a Freshman. Rahmir isn't built to be a 25 + carries a game. Ronald Thompkins Ronald is very talented, and has an excellent build for not being that big in stature. Blowing out both knees is a red flag, but a full year with Duval might help with those issues. He is the perfect RS candidate and could blossom tremendously because of it. If he does RS, Mills is either a SR or in the pros, Rahmir is a true Soph, Maurice will be playing his last year (because he's too damn talented to stay all four). Potentially Bringing In John Bivens First thing, he's arguably more talented than the three I just previously mentioned. I have talked a lot about his ability and I think he is elite. So there is that. But what's nice is that you're getting a kid who knows it may be in his best interest to RS, therefore Nebraska gets a very talented kid who is low maintenance in that first year, and balances out the RB room, along with Thompkins. What about Miles Jones and Wandale Robinson? I fully expect to see both go 50/50 as a receiver/rb, but it gradually change as the years go by. Wandale will be more RB, and Miles will go more Wr. Miles is built more like JD, and I think they will gravitate towards that body type. What does this say about the near future of our offense? I think Nebraska is looking to build up its RB room, so they can have more versatility in the flats, and in the option game. I also think they're more comfortable developing pass plays that get RB's involved, as opposed to 4-5 true Wrs. It gives you better opportunities for creative play calls, and less obvious formations. I could be completely wrong in all of this.5 points

I agreed with your post as a whole, but this is easily the most important part. Unfortunately, too many people forget this. I can't speak for all of us, but I think it's safe to assume that most of us were at least a little dumb (whether occasionally or constantly) when we were 16, 17 or 18. IT's even worse when adult do it.4 points

No, not that big of an issue. Okie Lite is still in a P5 conference, and with two of the schools preventing the conference from expanding gone, the Big XII will actually be able to get up to 12 schools again (should they want to). Texass is a pipe dream, as the B1G's main network is FOX, and ESPN owns the rights to Longwhorn Network. Texass has to keep tethered to that deal or they miss out on guaranteed money going forward from ESPN (as long as Texass isn't the school ending the deal). Texass would rather be a big fish in a little pond (read: a Big XII without Oklahoma, Kansas), than be a big fish in a large see of bigger fish (Ohio State, Michigan, Penn State, Nebraska). It's why they won't go to the SEC, and why the Pac-12 appealed to them before--there's a set power structure in the former (that they won't break into), and there's a power vacuum in the latter (which is still there, to be honest). --- Kansas and Oklahoma are more realistic B1G targets, but the fly in the ointment right now is Amazon.com. Yeah, that Amazon--they're in talks to buy up the Fox Sports local channels (e.g. Fox Sports Midwest, Fox Sports Oklahoma). These channels are residual from the Fox/Disney merger that are being sold off, and Amazon is in talks to buy them up for their Prime service. Oklahoma has their third tier rights tethered to their local Fox Sports channel, and if Amazon buys the channel and cuts Oklahoma a good deal, they may be inclined to sit tight. If Amazon falls through or no one else steps up to buy the Fox Sports Channels (which is both possible and plausible at this point), then Oklahoma will be free to partner with anyone they choose for their third tier rights...like the Big Ten Network, which did have a dialog with Oklahoma to put their third tier sports on BTN. Yeah, BTN...not a typo. A move like this would obviously tip Oklahoma's hand toward where they're going when the GOR is up. And yes, the GOR is up in 2022/2023, but the groundwork for a smooth transition will happen around 2020/2021, when the B1G media deal is up and negotiations will take place for a new deal.4 points

You're too late to this party. I fixed it years ago: Eight team playoff Five Power 5 Conference Champions (provided they are in the Top 12 of the final standings) Highest-rated Group of Five Champion auto-qualifies if they are in the Top 12 Remaining teams chosen by committee No more than two per conference Now that the field is set, how does the playoff itself actually work and how does it mesh with the other bowls? Those eight teams are locked into New Year's Six bowls on a rotating basis (as they do now with four) Remaining bowl assignments can proceed as they currently do Higher-seeded teams host the quarter final game two weeks after CCG weekend The four teams that lose in the quarter finals will be matched up in two pre-determined New Year's Six bowl games (rotating) The four teams that win in the quarter finals will move on to two other New Year's Six games as the semi-finals (rotating, as they do now) Championship game one week later (as it is now) Bowl structure preserved. Conference championships matter. Group of Five teams have a chance. Doesn't extend the season (time-wise). Bowl season begins and ends with a bang. QED4 points

If it goes to 16 teams, it should be a Pod system Four 4-team Pods Play your Pod every year (those three teams home-and-home every two years) Play one other Pod every year (every other team every three years, home-and-home every six years) "Protected" games each year to preserve rivalries while balancing pods The team with the best record within each year's paired Pods goes to the CCG At first I wanted to play half of a third Pod each year instead of the protected games (so you would play every team at least every-other year) but I think it would be too hard to keep all the rivalries so there would be too much push-back. I'd have to dig a little deeper to see if you could get that to work within the Pods. East Pod: Ohio State, Penn State, Rutgers, Maryland North Pod: Michigan, Michigan State, Minnesota, Northwestern West Pod: Nebraska, Wisconsin, Iowa, Illinois South Pod: Texas, Oklahoma, Purdue, Indiana Protected - Scheduled in years where the Pods weren't already playing each other (red=always, black=if possible, trophy game not preserved) Illinois - Northwestern, Purdue, Ohio State Indiana - Michigan State, Iowa - Minnesota, Maryland - Michigan - Ohio State, Michigan State - Indiana, Penn State, Rutgers Minnesota - Iowa, Wisconsin, Penn State, Nebraska Nebraska - Oklahoma, Minnesota Northwestern - Illinois, Ohio State - Michigan, Illinois Oklahoma - Nebraska, Penn State - Michigan State, Minnesota Purdue - Illinois, Rutgers - Michigan State Texas - Wisconsin - Minnesota, Trophy Games not guaranteed - Illinois/Ohio State, Minnesota/Penn State, Nebraska/Minnesota, Michigan State/Rutgers3 points

I'll answer this. I loved it. I personally like moderate steady growth...and that is what we saw since 2009. What goes up fast, typically goes down fast due to bubbles created in the economy. Ever since Trump has taken office, we saw a steep rise, followed by a steep decline in February....followed by more volatility since then. Only a party that is not in power could paint from 2009 till 2016 as a failure.3 points

We aren't willfully ignoring anything. How did markets react to an Obama win? You are conveniently leaving that out. What are you arguing over? First it was that 'the president doesn't control the stock market why are you using it against him' and now its 'well he did affect the stock market, that graph is just unfairly plotted' What we are saying is Trump is taking credit for doing something that isn't that amazing. He kept the market going, great job. But the market isn't going from bad to great. Its gone from great to greater. Everyone wants to tout The Donalds business expertise and his ability to spur the economy, but realistically Obama did greater job on the economt than Trump has done. That is what the chart shows. Obama had more room for improvement, sure, but the big point is Trumps fantastic claims about himself aren't quite as nice as they sound, and if he is going to take the credit he must also take the blame.3 points

they started the chart when he took office and when obama took office. not sure how that is unfair. and that article i posted talked about exactly what you said...but trump and the redhats have been claming his great brain is the only reason the markets were going up. if they want to claim that then they can also own this.
