  1. Most uncommitted players don’t “bleed” Husker yet. Just the nature of the beast. They are trying to find the right spot for them.

  2. Kid Accidentally Brings Blow-Up Sex Doll to School Nativity Last Thursday, a Scotland mom was embarrassed when she realized she had sent her five-year-old son to a nativity with a sex doll. Helen Cox, 46, says she purchased the blow-up sheep on Amazon back in November without realizing what it actually was until her son Alfie was sent home from school because of it.

  3. Alabama assistants in-home tonight. Word is the Tide still have one Safety spot left. Family connections said to be working in Nebraska's favor.

  5. this whole thing. It's clearly a flirtatious song about playing hard to get. I pitty the generation that will have to sign a general consent form to make it to first base.

  7. Russia becoming more powerful and taking more territory is definitely a U.S. problem. A strong NATO benefits us. A strong Russia does the opposite. We want those countries to be NATO countries. We want as few countries like Russia to exist as possible and as few countries to be their allies as possible.

  8. I watched. He won the heisman by getting 300+ yards against a 5-win Illinois team in a November blowout that happened to be the featured game on ABC. That same day, Frazier and the offense dismantled a top-10 Kansas team in Lawrence. Frazier orchestrated one of the best offenses ever witnessed at the college level. Much of what he did in terms of contribution to the running game, does not show up in stats. Same can be said for most other option quarterbacks who know how to pitch the ball or when to give it to the fullback. I am not saying that George stole the trophy, but I was personally shocked when it happened. This was a couple years after Gino freaking Torretta won it, for no other reason than being the quarterback of the best team. I was disappointed, but not appalled when Suh did not win it.

  9. Again- we dont know the whole story. Few scenarios 1. Maybe something happened off field and its not public and we dont want to air the dirty laundry so we are just backing away and told him we gotta back away. 2. Maybe he committed under the preface that we would let him commit but its not a firm commit because he doesnt have his school under control and that we would continue to recruit a replacement assuming he cant make it. That if we get that replacement before he has his grades 100% confirmed then we cannot afford to get burned. So we may have been 100% up front with him. I could easily see this being the situation because he was very respectful to Nebraska and did not appear angry or surprised by the decision to part ways.

  10. Obama's Chiefs of Staff in less than 3 years: #1 left to run for mayor of Chicago #2 was an interim #3 said he would stay until Obama got re-elected. #scandalous

  11. This song wasn't "banned". A couple radio stations made a decision to not play it because they gave into customer complaints. If you like the song, play it on YouTube or something. It's the same thing as when people started freaking out about the Dukes of Hazzard getting pulled from whatever channel it was. The "freak out" over the "freak out" is just as annoying.

  14. Forever. It's unlikely Nebraska (0) will ever have elite recruiting due to population. Alabama (59) borders 2 of the top 5 most fertile recruiting states in the country, Georgia (141) and Florida (226). Nebraska (0) meanwhile borders Wyoming (0), South Dakota (0), Iowa (7), Missouri (12), Kansas (6), and Colorado (10). The numbers in parentheses are the # of blue chip recruits from 2013 to 2017. There are less blue chip recruits (35) in all of the states bordering Nebraska and Nebraska itself than in the state of Alabama. Even if you halve Alabama's # due to Auburn, that's 29. And they still have Georgia and Florida vs Missouri and Colorado. It's like spear fishing vs throwing a net.

  15. If he ends up there, I will be very happy for him. Kid worked hard, paid his dues at JUCO (assuming), and he deserves a shot to show he can compete at a high level, Nebraska, Oregon St, or otherwise.

  16. Which is stupid. That phrase allows voters to make up whatever they want to justify always giving it to the best QB or RB on one of the top 2-4 teams.

  19. Was banged up a lot of year, played through it though. Perfect kid for a class of this size. Low ceiling, high floor, loves the hell out of football and Nebraska. Can be serviceable at 2-3 positions. Be interesting how we handle a kid like this in a class of 21.

  25. This was his best game of the year by a large margin. He shot MUCH better than he has the rest of the year. Makes a huge difference when you go 6/7 from 3 and 9/12 from 2.

  26. People have been whining about stupid s#!t for ages. There’s a reason Elvis was filmed from the waist up on Ed Sullivan. It wasn’t ‘cause everyone at the time was cool with sexy dancing.

  27. I thought the discussion would be about the meaning of the song, not whether people are offended by it. Seems like a lot of people in this topic are offended at the thought of people being offended by it, but who’s offended by it other than a few callers? Asking whether it’s a date rape song does not require one to be offended. People being murdered and national media reporting on every murder does not mean the murder rate has increased. A few people calling in doesn’t mean a bunch of people are offended. as @funhusker said, the freak out over the freak out is just as annoying. There seem to be far more people upset at people being offended than there are offended people. @teachercd how were the lyrics you posted relevant? Maybe I don’t understand them but they just seem to be about girls’ panties getting wet and then hopefully having intercourse with them. I don’t see anything there that can be construed as nonconsensual sex. Maybe you can enlighten me on what I’m missing.

  32. He's not sold on anyone yet, thus the reason he's still uncommitted. He's just evaluating his options. If we only took players that refused to even consider other schools, we'd end up with a class of mostly unranked or 2 star kids.

  34. If the sitting Democrats don't move to impeach then I'll view them as having failed us and would like them removed. On the flip side, Republican voters won't give a s#!t one way or the other and will stay the course. Why wouldn't you move for impeachment if the president has committed a crime?

  36. There are some pretty damning quotations from Charlie regarding Riley and his staff's coaching ability: 9:28: McBride asks Riley why the scout team defensive players weren't actively trying to strip the ball from the offensive players during practice. Riley's reply was "I'll have to look into that" 10:15: McBride asks Cavanaugh why he only played five offensive linemen during games: "Because I only get five guys ready to play" says Cavanaugh, which McBride links to the Pro mentality of coaching There's other gems in here as well, like the lack of time in the practice schedule for individual work/fundamentals work (literally zero time according to what Parella told McBride) and the staff wasn't used to coaching 100+ players (the point that Riley routinely did not have a full compliment of 85 scholarship players at Oregon State also came up, but I'm not sure if that's valid...) All in all, seems like the past three years were a waste of time, resources, and (most importantly) these kids' ability.
