  3. These sh#t heels are the future of the Republican Party, unless people with similar ideals minus the overt racism and disgusting behavior can take back control of the party from them. Most kids their age despise Trump. But these kids grow up in families that love him and the GOP and foster their own admiration of them. They've learned this is what being a Republican is all about. Being an a$$h@!e and being deliberately mean-hearted, especially to those who look different than you, all for a little attention. Because any attention is good attention. The more people you make angry, the better you've done. It's the same kind of stupidity seen by those on the left who think shouting into one's face with whom you disagree until they stop talking somehow accomplishes something. Honestly it seems like the biggest indicator of being a young Republican anymore is the desire to be a troll. Thank goodness so many are hitting eject and heading for the exits. The GOP needs to rediscover basic civility.

  4. Just want to step back from the process and point something out. We have 25 commits in a pretty decent class. We still have probably more very good players very interested in coming than we have spots for. I remember many years when we got to this point in the process and we were grabbing warm bodies. It's a nice change.

  8. Of course the specifics matter when some are trying to ruin the kid's life! I would completely agree with you, if the altercation wasn't instigated by the older man. If a white guy w/ an acoustic guitar approached a BLM group like that, and got his a$$ beat, the narrative would of been that he had deserved it.... And in no way am I suggesting that should of happened to the elderly man, just an example to show the clear double standard.

  9. OK, fine. If you want to talk about specifics, he approached the young man. The image of a young white man blocking the path of a Native American who is peacefully demonstrating outside and refusing to yield is still not something I'm comfortable with, nor should you. That's not the way you should treat an elder. That's not the way you should treat a veteran. That's not the way you should treat another human being. It's being a f#cking dick.

  12. Oh man, glad I am not an administrator at that kids school...they are getting destroyed right now. They know the kids name and they are even asking that Cincy State pull his acceptance. None of that shocks me...except for the fact that there is a Cincinnati State U. Bet that kid wishes he hadn't acted like a tool.

  13. They may be more common to get from interior guys in a 4-3 than a 3-4 but they are still way more common from the edge guys regardless of the defense. Almost all the guys we're recruiting for OLB are listed as Weakside Defensive Ends by the recruiting services. That means they'd play DE in a 4-3 but they'll play OLB if they go to a 3-4 system. It's the same guys we're recruiting regardless of what scheme we're running. In theory you can usually get more pressure from a 3-4 because you can bring the fourth rusher from any of the four LB spots and you have more athletes on the field. A bit too early to tell yet how Chins uses his guys - when he gets his guys - but I think pointing to the base alignment as the root issue is a bit short-sighted.

  17. It's edge rushers that are hard to recruit. They're hard to recruit whether they stand up or have a hand down. Big, explosive people are rare, therefore a commodity. They're even more important against today's one back offenses that take numbers out of the box, giving a defense fewer potential positions from which to generate pressure. All of those receivers also means the ball tends to get out quicker, again, limiting how you can generate pressure, and forcing any outside pressure to need to get there that much quicker. Edge rushers are hard to recruit in college and expensive in the NFL.

  18. Oh my gosh. I am so sorry about Shasta. My heart goes out to you. I'm sure you know it was all worth it. She needed a loving home and you were there go give that to her but as you know they end up giving you/us so much more. They're family... Again my deepest condolences. I'm so sorry. May she be at peace now.

  19. The 4-3 relies on athletic freaks to put pressure on the QB. Randy Gregory is the only true pass rusher we've had in... over a decade?

  21. There is nothing wrong with your definition of an every down running back, but I don’t know if that really applies to Frost’s offense. Mo is going to be on the field the most at RB in 2019, because he is the most versatile. We’ve already seen him be great getting outside in space running and catching the ball. In 2019, they will get him more involved in the between the tackles game. Mo is going to be 20 pounds heavier in 2019, to enable him to be stronger and more durable. He was already a pretty tough runner, he just didn’t have the necessary size to be a complete back. Mills will have his place in the offense, and will probably be on the field a lot with Mo. I just don’t see him getting as many carries/touches as Mo. Mills may be the back to use in the 4th quarter to move the chains against a worn-down defense.

  25. Crockpot Buffalo Ranch Chicken Dip: I haven’t made this, but, I am thinking about making it for the Super Bowl along with salsa and some other stuff. 1 Rotisserie Chicken, Cut & Chop Meat, Discard Bones & Skin 12-oz. Bottle Frank’s Red Hot Buffalo Sauce 16-oz. Hidden Valley Ranch Dressing 1-(8-oz.)-Pkg. Cream Cheese 2 Cups Shredded Sargento 4 Cheese Blend Tortilla Chips Carrot Sticks/Celery Sticks For Serving Green Onions, Chopped 4-oz. or larger crockpot. Add all of the ingredients to the crockpot; stir. Top with green onions. ***The recipe didn’t call for green onions but, it looks like they are on top in the pic and it sounds better to me. Cover and cook on high for 2 hours. ***I would cook it on low for a longer period of time. Stur occasionally so the cheese doesn’t stick to the edges. ***I would spray the sides of the crockpot with Pam.

  35. Yeah, ideally although I'd argue that you don't need to know THAT much to know that you shouldn't be gambling peoples retirement savings in hedge-funds and weird overseas investments and other risky financial instruments to make up ground when things go down. Another problem is, they hire consultants to recommend investments, those consultants get kickbacks from the things they recommend. Similar to say 401k where companies manage what investments are offered to employees and see kickbacks for that. So obviously that's not transparent to the people that have money coming out of their checks in either case. Pensions would be great, if they were responsibly and transparently managed and enough people that were paying into them knew about investing and held their employers and trustees responsible for any questionable fund management. The problem is people don't want to learn about investing. Which I get... its tedious and boring when you have very little capital to manage, but they're essentially throwing their money into a black box and assuming things are going to be great at some future date. It'd be about as smart as sending your life savings over to your idiot cousin or a greasy haired Don Jr. looking wall street guy you don't know and saying "here make this as big as possible, I'll throw you more every month and I'll be back to collect in 30-50 years." You can't protect yourself if you don't know what you are looking at or never bother thinking about it and just assume someone somewhere is looking out for your money. Unless you have a flat fee based fiduciary advisor that isn't happening and even then you need to know how to look out for yourself.

  39. You know, I’m excited with the depth of running back talent, especially the new guys. But Ozigbo ended up being our best back each of the last 3 years, even after always starting off buried on the depth chart. I hope he stays, and I hope he excels as a senior.
