  1. Lord, it’s hard to be humble, when you’re perfect in every way.

  2. Well usually you evaluate how the coach is doing as the years go by. Miles had 7 years and only got to the tournament once. This was supposed to be one of if not the best team in Nebraska history. Even with the Copleand injury, they had plenty of talent to go out and compete and win games. They underperformed plain and simple.

  3. Do you go away when Miles gets fired? im just curious. He’s at his sons Spring Game at Cal according to Callahan.

  4. Miles players love him I think but that doesnt mean they respect his ability as a coach. Miles is a GREAT GUY. I hate all the "fire him" talk when I think about him as a person because he is an amazing person. But I think the players lost faith in him as a coach and they just gave up. I think they like him but his coaching of X's and O's isnt good enough.

  5. These last three games have been great, but what Tim Miles is doing now is the equivalent of the deadbeat husband bringing home a bouquet of flowers for his wife after 7 years of not helping wash the dishes.

  6. Good stuff. Miles should have been fired last year after the dumpster fire way he ended the season. It was too much for Moos to take on at the time (new football and basketball coaches). He gave him a one year extension because he had to. I actually agree with how Moos handled it. Miles had to perform this year and he flat out hasn’t. I’ve been very consistent in my stance all year. Id love to explain to you very easily how Tim Miles basketball works.....One guy, in a pedestrian offense, shoots lights out and they win. That player struggles and the get it handed to them. See Petteway, Shields and Palmer. Coach Riley, I mean Miles, is a career .500 coach that has had 7 years. They’ve won 3 games, Iowa was a fluke, and we are ready to sign up for another year when we already know the result.....mediocrity(.500)? EDIT: Good for the players. They are doing great. The are outplaying their coach. Especially that Trueblood kid.

  7. I posted a photo here I took ofSasse selling Runzas at a Nebraska game. I regret not buying one then throwing it at his head. (Although I probably would have been heckled relentlessly and possibly arrested so not really).

  8. Just going to say off the get-go I'm not trying to hock anything, yoga is just always something that's appealed to me despite inexperience and this particular program stuck out to me. Heard DDP on Todd n Tyler a while back calling it to promote his new autobiography. He mentioned this program and it intrigued me because he marketed it as yoga for guys who wouldn't be caught dead doing yoga. I hit the Youtube and saw a couple pretty phenomenal success stories, found an introductory workout and decided to try it out. I can say it's been pretty great so far. My flexibility has always been nonexistent but I have come a long ways in 3 weeks so far. Most of the workouts are a hybrid of strength/flexibility/cardio - I think it's going to be useful for dropping a few lbs, which is another goal of mine. Tonight we did a really chill balance-focused one which was a nice change of pace but challenging in its own right. If somebody asked me I'd probably recommend it. Apparently DDP has utilized it training some current wrestlers and pro athletes who swear by it. But I also enjoy traditional yoga and the peace and focus you can get out of specific poses and progressions. As somebody who has been a weight-lifting meathead for as long as I can remember, I'm long overdue getting some balance into my life and working on what I suck at. Anybody ever heard of DDPY or into traditional yoga?

  10. Ok, so dont share my opinion on sports on a sports themed message board built to discuss opinions... Got it!

  13. Not sure if the names are still correct but this is probably relatively accurate given it's only been a year. http://www.huskers.com/pdf9/4988011.pdf If you look under the coaches tab under each sport the strength coaches are also listed. http://www.huskers.com/SiteMap.dbml?db_oem_id=100

  16. And in those good ol' days before the interwebs, if you overheard people at the local coffee shop or at the bar speculating about the future of the local coach, did you also harass them then about their opinions without providing any commentary of value yourself?

  17. Not sure why this got an eye roll. Right wing extremists are literally responsible for this.

  18. They never did have any intention of compromising. It was a PR stunt and an attempt to get some sanctions relief while secretly still doing what they were always doing.

  20. I think Beto should have waited a few years, but I guess you have to ride the momentum. I don’t think he will be able to hang with Sanders as some others have said, but it will be interesting to watch it all play out. Seems about as honest as one can be for a politician.

  21. Yoga has helped me immensely. With strength in stabilizer muscles I rarely use in my regular workouts and flexibility that's helped my running a decent amount. My wife got me into it. She's a freaking animal at yoga. I still suck pretty bad at it but I can tell I've become better since I started about a year ago. Power yoga is no joke. Very cool to see DDP doing. Never heard of it before.

  24. Really glad for Miles and the players that they're showing something extra to end the season. Maybe they are playing for their coach and maybe they did realize something that clicked. Which is a thing to feel good about. But if you keep him around then you think that hot end will translate to the next season, and then it won't, we'll lose a bunch we shouldn't, and then maybe get hot again at the end of that season. Which makes you believe that will carry over into the season after. Rinse, wash, repeat.

  25. It’s amazing how out of touch fans get because we win 3 games after losing like 12 of the last 15. Now all of a sudden people think he is going to stay. This season was a disaster and winning a quarter final game in the conference tourney does not make that go away. Make tourney or bust was the narrative before the season started. We are not going to the tourney

  26. TM isn't responsible for the run imo.... hope the kids continue though. They are playing with fire and heart that we haven't seen for several weeks. The right coach would have been getting that out of them all along.

  30. I would love to hear the "eyerollers" thoughts on how the American electorate is engaged and informed. To be clear, my comment wasn't partisan. American voters are swayed by simple s#!t. Hell, the biggest news the last 36 hours is that Booker is dating a movie star. My god...

  33. He's got different packages you can buy with different types of workouts depending on your current level of function and how much challenge you want. I went with the MAX pack which ran 80 bucks but came with a bunch of workouts. It also came with a 3 month free membership to their app which is pretty nice. It has a ton of workouts, including live ones once per week, in addition to other activity/food tracking stuff. It's configured to work with a bluetooth heart rate monitor if you're so inclined. The thing I really like about it is they're super encouraging about doing what's right for your own body and fitness levels. So they've got modifications if you've got a bad back, bad knees - pretty much whatever. You can find a way to do everything. They include a recommended schedule with plenty of days off - typically it's 4-5 days a week. You can absolutely lift as well, as long as you're not too sore.

  35. I don't want you to be defensive about what I am going to ask. I just want you to seriously reflect on this and answer honestly. I cant remember if it was you or someone else posted about Miles has coached his a$$ off the last few games and the players are playing for their coach now. Do you really believe they are playing for their coach or are you just trying to get a rise out of people on here? Think about it. If they truly loved their coach why did they take the 2nd half of the season off? Players who love their coach typically love their coach the whole season. They play the whole season inspired. Why would they tank and lose like 12 of 15 and get to an overall record of like 15-15, essentially ensuring Miles will be fired after the season. Then they out of nowhere "decided" to now play for their coach and show people how much they support him? If you ask me they gave up on him and the season and were going through the motions. They big 10 tourney came around and the players rallied around eachother and said lets see if we can make some noise before we graduate. Honestly I think that is all it is.

  38. Five of my friends and two future roommates work at DDP Yoga. Most of them also worked on the Resurrection of Jake the Snake documentary. I've been there a ton of times. Can speak secondhand (first hand witness of other people) how worthwhile and life changing it can be for people. The underlying approach and philosophy saved the lives of Jake the Snake and Scott Hall, and I've seen the program itself help at least half a dozen people lose well over 100+ pounds and really take their lives back. No reason for me to endorse it other than having seen it have a tremendous impact. Never cared about wrestling, didn't know who he was before becoming friends with people who worked for him, don't even do it myself although I'm about to. But full 100% endorsement.
