Remember when Tommy was hurt, but he toughed it out and gave Mike Riley a win over Oregon, his first win in years? Tommy burst through the line (aided by a Janovich block) and scampered to the end zone with his bum leg. Sealed the victory. Hell of a play, hell of a guy, hell of a win. You don't have to love Mike Riley to be happy for that win. And Tommy gutted that thing out, ganked up and all he was. That's a great guy. Great game. Fun day. I'll always remember that about him. Good times.

I only post recipes with pictures most of the time. If you don’t see any pictures, it is because I ran out of space and I had to delete my attachments. I do know I am about ready to run out of space so I will have to delete pictures the next time I post a recipe that I took a picture of. You can save the pics as I post them, if you care to send them to a friend etc. that way you will have them if you want.

Plus the shift from industrial work places which were in the north and east due to proximity to rivers and railroads to commercial/service companies which can be put anywhere. Like you said, the population shift has dramatically shifted to the south and west. The cities of Cleveland and Detroit are prime examples of cities which have shrunk, while areas like Phoenix and Dallas-Fort Worth have exploded with growth.

I don't like this move. I know Karch wants her to transition to Libero for her USA career, but she's really not cut out for it. She may not have played much since Lincoln because I'm pretty sure she suffered a concussion during warmups. Knocked heads with someone and she was clearly wobbled by it. K-Rob is better suited to the role, and Lake is an overall better Libero than anyone. And frankly, I'm not convinced any of them are better than Wong-Orantes, so why she's not there I don't know. Bottom line is, we're winning a lot. I guess it's working. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

It's geography, but less to do with weather (although it is a factor because there are far more days for high schoolers to play football in warm states), and more to do with population shift. There are just way more players to pick from due to the population shift to the south/southeast part of the country. There are just a lot more people in those states now than there were 10, 20, 30 years ago, and more proportionally.

Tommy's always going to be one of my favorite Huskers just for the amount of fortitude he played with. Congrats to him.

IMHO: Nebraska leaving the Big 12 for the Big Ten remains one of the biggest "up yours" in the history of sports. Frankly, I'm impressed the Big 12 has survived as well as it has, but it will remain a monetarily poorer conference overall and will always be dominated by Texas and/or OU. I'd love to see Nebraska vs OU again (out of nostalgia) but the only time I want to see Texas is in a Bowl Game where I would hope we kick their hiney all the way back to Austin.
