Man, that "arrogance" has to be so hard for an Iowa fan to hear from Nebraska fans. I mean, everyone knows that if the roles were reversed and Iowa had five championships and was considered a pillar of the sport, they would NEVER talk about their past accomplishments, and would only be content to live in the now. They would not be arrogantly pointing out their program's history. Heck, they'd probably very politely just forget any of that ever happened. Yep. That's for sure what they'd do.10 points

Someone else mentioned this when it happened with Wandale, but it begs repeating. If the team is so tight knit, the seniors should be taking these kids under their wing and letting them smoke pot at their houses so they don’t get caught.9 points

Jumped to the #125 player on the Top 247. Now ranked a .93 4 Star. That is a hell of a jump.7 points

Respectfully disagree. These guys know the rules and what’s expected of them. At present pot is not legal in Nebraska, so don’t do it.7 points

I hope the senior leaders are all also making sure that the players never ever drive a mile over the speed limit, be super duper honest on their taxes, never connect to unsecured wifi networks, having poker nights or march madness brackets, wear their seatbelts, definitely don't allow any underage drinking, never pee outside, update their drivers licenses when they move to nebraska, and god I hope none of them are sharing Netflix accounts.6 points

I could care less if these guys smoke pot. But. Stop. Getting. Caught!5 points

@Danny Bateman @BigRedBuster https://mobile.twitter.com/timjacobwise/status/1152930670093787141 the thread I mentioned earlier. Lays out the reasoning pretty well.3 points

For the sake of our teams success the state legislature needs to decriminalize marijuana3 points

It is clear now that the NCAA must get involved. To ensure fairness, the NCAA must make sure all the other teams are smoking marijuana too. That way everyone has a fair chance at the playoffs.3 points

If you had someone named *checks notes* Myles Farmer on your bingo card for "Who is going to get caught with MJ next", go ahead and mark it off: https://hailvarsity.com/s/7310/nebraska-freshman-myles-farmer-found-with-marijuana-in-dorm2 points

This is the basic problem I have with our players using marijuana. It is not a performance enhancer, it's not helping them be all they can be and the downside seems to have way more problems than the few beneficial effects. It may help with sleep and recovery time and it may help with pain management and anxiety but that's about the extent of the benefits. Problem is most of those using it aren't doing it for the limited few benefits, they're doing it for societal reasons and possibly with the misunderstanding that it is some sort of performance aid. And one of the biggest detriments is if they become unavailable to play due to team punishment or legal issues if caught. Are there worse things? Sure there are but if you're a high (no pun intended) level D1 athlete it is just stupid to be messing with it. I realize they're college kids and this is part of that experience (at least it was mine) but I wasn't a scholarship football player with a whole team depending on me. Its probably better for them than excessive alcohol use but that doesn't make it good. I don't believe Frost is real impressed by it and I would hope they come to realize it's not helping them or the team reach it's goals. Other than that I don't really care. It's kind of like the 90's teams, as long as they're winning it's not a problem but if/when they lose, you gotta wonder why they don't want every possible advantage.2 points

I wouldn’t expect that personnel grouping. The point of our R receiver is to be able to go 2 back without actually needing 2 backs. We saw Mo and Oz together some last year because we really didn’t have that capability. With Wandale we do. Optimally, Miles Jones can help there, too. Really optimally, we develop enough receivers who can play multiple spots that something like a JD/Noa/Wandale trio results in any of the three playing that spot on any given play. What you’re describing with Mills is what we already do. Put an unbalanced set to the wide side to get a light box, and Mills does the rest. I think he’s really well suited for that application because it is so hard for one person to take him down.2 points

We’re getting better baby I can feel it! Now we need a couple more felonies and we’ll make the playoffs!2 points

If Frost wins a conference title we all send him our oldest pair of boxers. If he wins a nattie we send him our wives undies lol2 points

I mean ... it's in a thread about marijuana. So that would seem to be context. Also, he was replying to a post about guys smoking pot. So that would seem to be context. So, like I said, you just ignored it so you could argue.2 points

Last year is case in point. When Morgan and JD couldn’t get open (or just weren’t available) is when this offense slowed down. This year should be a lot better, even if it were without Washington. I’d really love him to play as I think he brings an element that the others don’t, but we’d be ok either way. Rahmir is an interesting guy in that he’d be the guy talked about in a lot of other classes yet he’s almost forgotten in this one. I don’t think he’ll be forgotten by the time this is done.2 points

Callahan mentioned that the court appearance is this week. I just looked it up and it’s July 25th. He also stated that he (paraphrasing) gets the vibe that Washington is going to be playing this year and that they’re going to be able to plea these down to lesser charges. He (Callahan) didn’t give any more information on why he feels that way. I believe he talked about it in the Media Days summary video.2 points

I believe I recall you mentioning that. But while "I'll vote for him again" may not specifically apply to you, sadly, it applies to about 40% of this country. And that's despite all the corruption, graft, crime, potential crime and racism on overt display these past two-plus years.1 point
