The real Spring season of hope and new beginnings is the start of another Big Red football campaign. August and September is the real Spring in Nebraska. Young Husker fans will experience the joys of Big Red football with fresh eyes and see things for their first times. Older fans reconnect with precious memories and times held in their personal Mind Bank of hours and days spent with treasured family and friends creating life-long riches of Husker experiences. Everyone gets back in touch with reasons and feelings of why they became fans of a college football program that makes a small upper Midwest state so famous to the world. Nebraska is mostly known to the world for sustenance-providing corn and high caliber football, and not necessarily in that order. Husker fans have been disoriented for a generation. The Cornhusker footballers have been mostly absent from their usual place among the elite of college football. It’s been hard on the fans, the team, the university, and Nebraska’s sense of identity. But there’s something stirring out in the High Plains. It is the belief that the Cornhuskers are renewing themselves to reclaim their proper role as a college football Blue Blood. And so, Spring blooms in August in Nebraska. The leaves may begin to dry and fall. The sun may start to fade instead of rising in the sky. The heat of the day will turn to cool and then cold. Birds will be flying off to warmer perches as weeks go by. But Spring is now rising in Huskerland. You know you feel it. Hope is in the air. The years of wandering in the desert are over. I don't mind the hustle nearly as much if you are honest about it being self promotion. If you're trying to vaguely suggest you're a random person linking some random site you're not connected to, I won't engage based on principle. If you're like, "Hey guys, I run this site and wrote this article you might enjoy, check it out if you'd like" I will probably check it out.

Which is weird, because there's a lot of unanswered questions on that side of the ball. Personal opinion - if the defense cuts 7 points per game off their 2018 performance, we win the West.

Marvin Scott said he is making his decision next weekend in an interview with Greg Smith. He said Nebraska really stood out with the campus and Lincoln and really likes the facilities. He has spoken to all the coaches. I would be totally shocked if we don’t get him.

Trump has some significant influencers supporting him. I don't know if this falls under "Cult of Trump"......whatever that actually means.....but some influential financial backers of Trump have included names like Ross, Marcus, Kroenke, Ricketts, Coors and Schwab. Most of these supporters are not vocal but their influence is very significant.

Totally agree. I would have thought he would have said, "Nebraska might just be one good defensive line away from a Big Ten title." To your comment in bold above, I tried to put it in those terms at the tail end of last season, too. If our defense and special teams can team up to allow roughly 7 fewer points per game, and our offense can score 7 more points per game we're a 10-2 team that goes to Indy. I still don't know where we'll be at with special teams.

Well I was wiping my a$$ with hundreds right after tax season, so I guess it kinda was a hobby. Oh well, until next April...
