He plays in 8A which is the biggest in Florida. He faces good competition, just not the elite teams in the state. Gator fans are pissed that they havent offered yet and think even if they do, he will stay with us because of it. They say he is one of the best backs in the state easily.4 points

Joe Walsh is such a clown. I swear to god that guy stopped developing socially after he pushed a kid off a swing in 5th grade.4 points

Hail Varsity has a pretty good article up about the changes in the team's mindset as last season went along, particularly after the Purdue game, as told mainly by Gifford, Foster, and Stoltenberg. "People were missing everything, doing punishments, and it was just kind of like, 'Oh the punishment’s not that bad,' so it was not that big a deal." - Gifford I still wonder how some guys might have panned out differently if they'd been around this staff their whole careers. Like would Nick Gates have actually lived up to his potential if his coaches hadn't allowed him to slack off all the time? https://hailvarsity.com/s/7517/the-choice-to-change3 points

Judging by that twitter graphic I wonder if we can combine all of them into one big megazord captain.3 points

He wants pure muscle and athleticism close to the LOS. And then burners as you move further away. Both O and D. This is slightly different than Oregon. Those guys were always a bit undersized at the line. You could see it when they played SEC teams and OSU. If we can have 90's NU line strength and Oregon's tempo/athletes...watch out.2 points

It's actually pathetic how far behind we have fallen in terms of facilities. I hope we build something that has Clemson coming to look at it in a few years.2 points

That's heartening to hear because Urban knows football but it's also suspicious and you have to wonder what he's up to since it's Urban Meyer.2 points

There have been several reports that he's been a huge vocal leader, despite being pretty new. Plus his play has been very good as well.2 points

Going from tight end to starting center in one offseason while battling injury as a redshirt freshman is pretty incredible.2 points

Only because it's still pretty warm, if it was November there wouldn't be a chance they'd come up to Wisconsin2 points

Tom Osborne arrives to the South Alabama game in a stretch limo in a pimp outfit. The entire cheerleader squad pours out of the limo, pops a cigar in his mouth and then carries him in sideways to his skybox seat.1 point

It's much easier for the talking heads who don't have time to dig into all teams to stick with the status quo. I believe Minnesota will be better than most think. With these injuries, and that schedule, combined with either Coan or a true freshman, Wisconsin will indeed have a tough year. Mertz will be good there I think, but I don't think he jumps in and succeeds right away like Martinez did.1 point

Got a feeling that this is what Hotels and Colorado's game will be like. Paint it RED!!!1 point

Low 3* guy out of HS, from McCook. Walk-on? Eh, I wouldn't call him a statue, he did have decent sense for when to take off and scramble for a few yards. It's just that he was really slow when he did. I remember laughing and cheering when he'd scramble: "Look at him go!"1 point

I haven't clicked @jaws link yet but I really want to know what is defined as an 'absurd' violation? Are we talking hot tubs full of champagne? Shoeboxes full of Gushers? Pallet of Dunk-a-roos? A parrot that sings Boyz-II-Men? (would be awesome btw) Or, just regular run of the mill absurd like stacks of cash, free cars, etc.1 point

My oldest sister moved to NYC after college and she brought back her boyfriend at the time and he had never left the city or fished before. I took him fishing at a local farm pond and and it was the first time he ever encountered cattle and caught a fish. He was beyond himself and loved every moment. A bonus for him was when we were headed home, we came across a big bullsnake on the road. He flipped s#!t over it as he had never seen a snake before either. Its amazing the reactions of people that experience things for the first tume while some of us take it for granted.1 point
