  1. I hate lightening storms. It’s worse than lightning because this has the potential to erase all of the s&c gains they’ve made if they get lighter.

  2. Pulling your junk out twice in front of someone who doesn’t want to see your junk is worse than what Washington did, and Washington did what he did before he joined the team. Moss deserved to be treated more harshly than Washington does.

  4. It was totally understandable why Akron would not want to submit to those sort of conditions, but I also wouldn't call it disrespectful. NU tried to do whatever they could to make the best of a bad situation and salvage the game. No need for them to be snippy about it.

  8. Just so I'm clear on this. A federal investigation and every intelligence agency in the country agrees that the Russians influenced (illegally) the 2016 election. They also have said they are continuing to try to influence the 2020 election. Those efforts include attempts to hack state election systems. Those efforts have been shown to support one candidate....the President. The President repeatedly has denied the Russians are doing what they are doing. He openly and publicly took the word of the dictator of that country instead of believing his own intelligence community. Now....the organization that is responsible for keeping the election organized and safe is about to shut down due to lack of congress's efforts to fill the board. Am I close on this? What a time to be alive!!!!

  9. Whoever wins the Dem nomination needs to present a clear vision to how they are going to help farmers gain back the ground they lost. Not just blame Trump for their problems. Most farmers I know still plan to vote for Trump because they don't see how a Dem would make it better either. And I haven't heard a dem candidate lay out how they'll help either, so I don't necessarily blame the farmers...

War hero vs War dodger Respected world wide vs Hated world wide A stable economy vs a roller coaster He stood for rights of all vs He only looks out for people like himself Respected by Dems and GOPers vs Despised by anyone not in the Cult Worked towards unity vs the Divider in Cheif Respected the opinions of other vs only one opinion matters Has been remembered by history as a good president vs will be remembered by history as being one of the worse I'm sure I could go on but as BRB said, it shows how much the party has fallen since the days of Ike.

  15. Blind side blocks are so fun! I still remember sprinting at the QB one second then seeing nothing but sky, wondering where I went wrong and why it was taking so long to hit the ground. Kenny Bell is the Last Blind Sider.

  19. The new rotating banners on HuskerBoard are relatively small and non-intrusive, but I still didn't like seeing the face of Wayne LaPierre on the latest one. I'm sure we looked like a swell demographic fit, but someone should tell the NRA that HuskerBoard P&R got taken over by the libs.

  20. I don't know any of this from an official rulebook or anything, but there's no way they would allow a game with all of the needed personnel, support staff, officiating crew, etc. to play a game in a space that small. Just having two full teams in there with coaches and trainers would leave no room on the field level. People don't appreciate or understand how massive of a production a big time college football game is. The number of people involved and the number of things that need to be accounted for is so big that it's virtually unthinkable to just say, "Well let's do the exact same thing except somewhere else and in an hour".

  22. They would have been better off disclosing the actual abusive texts than these vague statements. This just smears the program and the University without accomplishing anything. People who want to run with a story will, (like ambulance-chaser Dennis Dodd), and people who are predisposed not to believe this stuff won't. What do these players want? Revelle fired? OK - so who's going to come in and coach this roster if that happens? And what are they going to do with players who just got the last coach fired? Look what happened when Miles was let go. Nearly 100% turnover. All these players are gone. They're either going to transfer because Revelle was retained, or they're going to be pushed out by whatever new coach comes in.

  23. So in previous posts, I was sticking up for the complainants and the investigatory process, and that the players should be protected from retaliation. I still stand by that. However, these public statements now smell an awful lot like a bitter complainant who did not get the results they were looking for and have exhausted all of their legitimate avenues for relief, so now they are burning the house down. I've seen it before. If this stuff had real meat on the bone, and UNL failed to properly address it, a good attorney could navigate the issue much more discretely. These public statements are not going to help anyone.

  24. Very interesting...but this article raises more questions than it answers. So now we know a little bit more about the complaints, but this article does not share anything about the actual evidence. A lot of the stuff in the quote above can be easily verified via phone records and medical records. If true, these kinds of allegations are serious and have brought down way bigger fish than a softball coach, so I would imagine that if these claims could be proven, she would have been long gone. This article doesn't provide any substantive detail about the merits of the allegations, and no one has a copy of the actual findings. But here something I would question as an investigator: regarding the 100 harassing text messages in one day, did the player respond? Was it an actual conversation? If so, how can you show that the messages were unwelcome (depending on the nature of the convo)? Now a player may feel that she must engage in the convo because this is the coach, but the actual context of the conversation is important. And I have also found in these sorts of investigations that when someone says that they have received damning texts/photos/emails, etc, that they have been deleted. This BS happens all the time. Evidence is important, and these things need to be verified. For the players who have transferred out or graduated already, if this stuff has any substance to it, what would stop them from publicly bringing the receipts? Also I am guessing that since the specific complaints were anonymous, that there was no Complainant of record to give a report to. This right here is a clown statement. This guy hasn't seen the report, either. There was a 2 month investigation. He has no idea if NU is or isn't taking their complaints seriously, but given that it was such a long investigation, and publicly known, I would wager that NU did what they were supposed to do. Having said that, athletes, and all students for that matter, do need to be appropriately protected. NU has numerous resources for reporting concerns; they need to make sure the resources and services are well known.

  29. It doesn't tell us much but it does tell us something. I think they held some stuff back on offense but the D is where I think they were exposed. Their run defense did not look good enough coupled with what they can do offensively. They have playmakers but their QB is below average and their line struggled to get a push and protect the QB. Falaalele got abused on the edge, he was getting beat over and over in pass pro. Something that 2017 taught me is some things you can't just fix in a weeks worth of practice.

  32. It is just one game, but it’s also quite similar to last year’s non-con where wins hid some of their issues. This was a good FCS school they played, but Minnesota should have at least had an advantage on the lines and they were often dominated. Outside a couple splash plays, hard to tell which was the FCS school. I think they’ll still go undefeated in the non-con portion, but they need to significantly ramp up their energy level to compete against anyone in the Big Ten. Poor effort all night, imo.

  34. Well I hate to see the end of an era occur, but I understand why the board was sold. I thank Eric and Chad for all of their hardwork in getting the board up and running and keeping it running all these years. I love this place and have been here for 14 years this November for a reason. This is the best Husker message board out there and it shows by all the comments in here. To the new owner of the board, BRM, welcome and I look forward to seeing what you can bring to the table to keep the board running smoothly!
