  4. Or maybe it's easier to look like the "faster blinker" when your package of plays are all single reads. Don't get me wrong, I'm excited about Luke and Martinez did not have a phenomenal year. But I don't see any evidence the coaches kept playing Martinez out of sheer stubbornness - people just don't want to believe that was our best option.

  5. Just because people are questioning where he is and what he's doing doesn't mean anyone has created a false narrative. If you know the answer to where he's been and what he's been doing on the trail, then answer.

  8. seeing as how this is an internet message board; yeah...thinking out lout is pretty much exactly what I am doing, LoL. Sorry to burst you bubble but that's what a place like this is for. Tradition is pretty much the only thing we are clinging to at this point, along with a little hope. I agree, most kids probably want to set out on their own away form their parents and make their own way; but The fact of the matter is: - we are big 10 bottom feeders in the weaker division - we haven't been to a bowl in the last 3 years --we have only won 2 bowl games since 2010 (IIRC) - haven't won a conference championship since 99 -no division championships since 2012 -1 winning season since 2015 -we are basically a dumpster fire on all 3 sides of the ball at any given time - play calling is suspect at best on offense (especially this year) -our coach came in with tons of hype (well deserved) and bit c$%ky and has had his A$* handed to him at every turn and blames player buy in as the root cause of loosing. Now, you look at all that as a top level or decent recruit and think as bad as things have been, you should be able to get some early playing time and be apart of rebuilding a traditional blue blood program. When you cant play your way onto the field because coach seems determined to play another guy come hell or high water, for whatever reason....one may start looking at other options. For the record, I never said this would or will happen, I am hoping it doesn't...so just chill. I was only posting recent events connected to a potentially great player on our team. Most husker fans unfortunately live in the past and still see us a Blue chip program when we are just not at this point. Sorry to be the turd in the punch bowl, but these are the cold hard facts. Things will eventually get better, and I know Scott is our guy, but it still looks like we have a long way to go....just sayin. GBR!

  11. Going to go ahead and assume you would've applauded Hillary's State Department issuing a blanket refusal to cooperate and going to the courts, while trying to work SCOTUS on her Twitter feed, in order to prevent Congress from doing any oversight or the public from knowing anything about Benghazi or her emails. You must've been gobsmacked when she - gasp - actually showed up to testify (for 8 hours) when subpoenaed, being the fierce advocate of individual liberties and skeptic of Congressional harassment you are. Sound about right? (It must suck to be a Trump supporter and know in your heart of heart that Hillary Clinton of all people has more balls than Trump.)

  12. I thought we were talking about playing football? Also Mo quit on his coaches and his teammates first, not the other way around. A change of scenery could do the kid wonders, especially at a place where the spot light isn't so bright. Spare me the over dramatic comparison of a parent disowning a child.

  16. This may sound good to you as you're writing it and it would take a triple 84 HuskerLaw post (Not to offend, 84, don't mind reading your posts) to respond to the actual shallowness of these posts. Suffice it to say that there are people on this board that are educated beyond their intelligence and believe they are the epitome of insight, intelligence, wisdom, understanding etc. We're all entitled to our opinion, as you are, and this is mine. Scott Frost is a winner, has been all his life, and odds are he will be again. I don't care what conference or level you play/coach in it takes at least a certain level(rather high) of skill/understanding/wisdom/discernment of the game to be a winner, like take a team to an undefeated season. Some on here talk about Scott Frost as having a really big ego because of how he's handled things since he arrived here but these posts and others on this board display what are some of the biggest egos I have ever come across.

  20. Well good luck my friend. I just spent too long responding to your post (had some other things going on) to find out I had been logged out when I hit the submit button and it didn't save my post. Just real quick, I was old enough to know how significant it was to win our first back to back championships and experienced all of the disappointment between those and the 3 in 4. If we'd have had replay in '93 it would have been 4 in 5 and the first 3-peat in the modern era and most likely would have had one in '83 and as for '84 what can we say. It just seems to me you have decided rather quickly upon wether Frost can get it done or not, maybe you need to reread your post. Scott Frost has been a winner everywhere he's been and odds are he will do so again. Time will tell all things it would be a shame to short change it. The only one pinning anything on Frost is you, a medal of failure. What I read is "I feel", "I think" and, to be sure, we are all entitled to our opinion. To be candid your posts and others of similar opinion wreak of arrogance and ego but maybe time will show you to be right. As of now I highly doubt it. There, that's the short version.

  22. Everybody who says Tulsi Gabbard is the Democrats best shot to beat Trump is a Republican. Ergo, Tulsi Gabbard is not the best shot at all. She got a bit of a bump a couple months ago for taking shots at Hillary Clinton and Kamala Harris — who both deserved it — but forensics suggest the Tulsi surge came from rightwing social media who view her as a more robust Jill Stein.

  23. It takes time but Frost is crushing it with the walk-ons right now which is hard to do in this era. It usually takes 3 years for them to get up to speed and only a few break through but we will see benefits shortly. Nouili was a major get and him and Piper are gonna be road grading the B10. Add that in with young Jurgens at center and the solid OTs we have been getting. It's all coming together BOIS!

  24. Still quiet here. 247 rated him #138 OVR #28 SG. We’re still listed as his only high major offer. Scored 27 the other night in a big win:

  25. Paul Richardson, Laquon Treadwell, Ryan Swope... 7 total 1000 receivers, two of which were each schools first ever. You guys love to create narratives. Maybe he’s trying to help his position group right now and that’s why he’s not on the trail. He’s a good coach, a coach who instead of leaving frost and co for a head coaching gig, stuck around and came to Nebraska.

  26. I just don't feel I or government has the right to dictate to a woman what to do with the contents of her own body. The last time I was in a discussion about this and stated my feelings, a man brought up something on the order of, "what if she goes into a jewelry store and swallows a million dollars worth of gems? Can we then tell her what to do with the contents of her own body?" As if stealing jewels is analogous to enduring an unwanted pregnancy. Game playing aside, no matter my beliefs about abortion, it's up to her at least 51%. She gets the deciding vote no matter the input from politicians, clergy, or even the sperm donor.

  27. Hes good at taking pictures with phones, so thats why hes never in the shot. Honestly, i dont like Walters. Listening to him talk about young wrs last year he was never ready to trust them enough to know offense to play. Well, why are they not getting better? Youre the wrs coach. No worse than putting in older players that didnt know the offense well. What are his credentials in developing wrs? Anybody know? What good wrs has he produced? Asking seriously.

  28. Some of these posts just drives me insane. Calling for Frost's head is insane. I am happy none of you calling for his head are in position to do so. Oh and one more thing, Tommie Frazier criticizing him is just plain bush league. That guy is only relevant in Nebraska, and Nebraska only. he needs to ride off into the sunset along with Johnny Rodgers. Those two guys holding on like a dog with a frisbee.

  29. Texas A&M never won anything in the Big XII, let alone the SEC. Probably the most delusional fanbase in all of college football. R.C. Slocum, Dat Nguyen, Manziel/Evans is the Aggie legacy. I'd say, much like Arizona State and Maryland, one of the most underachieving college football programs in college football history with the recruiting footprint and resources available.

  30. Milt Tenopir called Frost the best QB he saw in terms of understanding and implementing T.O.'s offense on the field. Frost knows what to do, and the priorities now are fixing the OL depth chart (no offense to the starting 5 but they need to be pushed in practice by guys who could actually get PT), getting the right mix of WRs (one or two reliable big-bodied threats, cross your fingers that Betts and Manning qualify), and having 3+ running backs to rely on. None of those things were there in 2019, all look better on paper for 2020 (for what that's worth). Frost is limited only by his roster.

  31. Not that I know of. Doesn't seem too unreasonable. Not uncommon for kids in coming classes to attend recruiting weekends for kids in the class before them. I'd imagine it's one of many visits to come because I do think he's a Nebraska lean.

  32. Other than his over-reliance on the wide swing passes, I actually like Frost's playcalling. You'll like it too, when the same plays start working with more frequency.

  36. I agree 100% about Held. But wouldn’t our “WR Coach” also be a great addition? We have taken more than two coaches to see recruits these past few weeks. I just feel like I haven’t seen Walters in any of the photos with the kids and their families.

  38. His junior year beat his freshmen year in almost every statistical way. He was a way better player so he was even more dynamic as a junior than a freshmen and actually more so because his passing improved so much. You cherry picked what I was saying. I said his injury his senior year that ended his season stopped him from having his best season yet. My entire argument is that his freshmen injury did not stop him from having his best year as a junior. I don't care what the "eye test" says.

  40. I would personally like a little more detail on what you consider glaringly better. I think my biggest disappointment this year has been the decline of attitude. Whatever had been gained in the 4-2 end of the 2018 season seemed to disappear in 2019. Body language, poor fundamentals, horrible third quarters, testy press conferences, pretty much everything. W/L isn't everything, but taking all the transition and attrition into account, pundits, pollsters, and Vegas had the Huskers contending this year, and the biggest skeptics on this board had us going 7-5. No one can say what will happen in the next few years, but what am I missing that you see as glaringly better? I mean, beyond the assumption that the next couple recruiting classes will turn this around?
