  1. Both Wisconsin and Oregon running 3-4s Pretty sure there are more New Year's Six teams running 3-4s than aren't.

  2. Alamo Bowl - Texas 38, Utah 10 As much as it hurts me to say this, Texas was probably better than their record shows. Lost to LSU by 7. Lost to Oklahoma by 7. Lost to two other ranked teams. Pounded Utah. @commando & @NUance sold their souls by picking Texas and avoided losing points. But they did lost respect from the rest of us.

  3. Only took halfway through the first quarter for ESPN to push the "it means more for Michigan than Alabama" narrative. I thought it always meant more in the $EC.

  4. I’m not sure how this story fits into the conversation, but it seems relevant. The other night, my 10 year old son was brushing his teeth getting ready for bed. As I walked past the Bathroom door, he gave me what appeared to be a “Nazi salute”. I stopped dead in my tracks and asked him what he was doing. With his hand still raised, he says, “I’m just pointing at you to say hi.” I wasn’t mad at him, but I also didn’t ignore it. We talked about what that gesture “can” mean and how it Is very disrespectful and could get him into trouble. I get a lot of people still play the game associates with the gesture. I know I still use it just as I would a thumbs up. But I also know not to pose with it in a picture because people may get the wrong impression.

  5. We have an idea but the point is these racist people using this symbol in this way can inspire more cowardly racist people who aren't out as racist yet to also use the symbol in a racist way. Then they can just say they were playing a game when they get caught

  6. I found this today and thought it was interesting. Going into fall camp in 2017 his third year Riley only had 77 scholarships filled and 14 offensive lineman on scholarship. As well as only 7 scholarship wide receivers. We essentially had a self imposed 8 scholarship penalty. Things will change before fall camp, but Frost currently has 88 scholarships (planning for attrition) as well as 18 scholarship lineman and 11 scholarship wide receivers. It's amazing how badly Riley mismanaged the roster and it's taking time for Frost to rebuild it.

  7. They don’t have the fan support or the institutional support like Nebraska. Minnesota hasn’t won a title since like the 40s and they have not even been trying. How can people on here see Wisconsin with no rich tradition, same challenges as Nebraska if not worse. Yet they win 10-11 every year. Not sure how some don’t think doing better than that is unreasonable. They recruit in the 40s most years

  8. How are we separate than Minnesota exactly? Since joining the B1G... Minnesota is 63-52 4 wins against Nebraska Nebraska is 65-50 5 wins against Minnesota

  9. He is an extremely gifted WR, moved to QB 3 games into the year this season I believe so his WR stats obviously suffered. Would gladly take this kid and would expect him to do VERY well

  10. Yep, gotta feel good for them. They played solid football all year.

  11. Minnesota....That's coaching, scheme and player development. Damn. Great win for the Gophers.

  12. Alabama also running a 3-4 They must need coaches who actually have a clue.

  13. Yeah want to is whats holding Nebraska back. Thats the biggest difference i see when Nebraska plays the ohio state's. Not talent or coaching its just the lack of effort.

  14. The Nebraska fan base is way more hungry for a championship than the players are.

  16. I don't like to get worked up about a player until he does something on a college field, but this could be the biggest commit we've seen in years.

  17. I'd just add, that if the KKK, white supremacists or other known hate groups started doing Moose hands on their heads as a gesture in their clubs, at their rally's, in photos and etc. If men arrested for crimes against a particular race, religion, creed etc used them when being led into a courtroom - then yes, we would be having that conversation about your Moose gesture.

  18. Stoll was very close to having more yards and catches than all three of Iowa's top three tight ends combined

  19. He'd be a good get as an analyst but would likely be snatched-up soon. I'd make him the OC. Move Verduzco to an analyst role and have Walters focus all his efforts on the WR's.

  20. He had their offense doing quite well last year, but it was smoke and mirrors and the rest of the league figured it out. No OC will do well in Chicago as long as Mitchell Trubisky is their QB.

  21. Said right now his top schools are Nebraska, Florida, Texas A & M and Oregon. Says Nebraska, Florida and Texas A & M are recruiting him the hardest. Said he is 'for sure' going to visit Nebraska.

  23. I think we get our first 11 win season since forever, win multiple big 10 west titles, a couple big 10 championships and make a couple CFP’s. With 1-2 Nattys in the second half of the decade.

  25. Citrus Bowl - Alabama 35, Michigan 16 Michigan held up better than I expected. Out-rushed the Tide. But Bama has Jeudy and pulled away late. @The Murphinator & @HuskermanMike picked up the max 10 points.

  26. It can't. People are violent by nature. I'm glad one bad person was stopped by a few good ones before they could do much much more harm.

  31. Do you personally know any Nazi's that draw swastikas? I don't think personal experience is the only thing that determines if something exists or not. And the second point is somewhat ridiculous. We might as well ban everything then. Censorship isn't the answer.

  32. Proud Racists aren't really concerned about getting caught or denying being racist so this is a fallacy. You're just trying to come up with a reason to gift them a hand gesture that was never racist.

  36. I'm pretty sure that next year Luke is going to be the guy who comes up when we talk about the next true freshmen phenom QB needing to be the starter. "Sure, it'd be interesting to see Luke in a game, but I'd really like to see Smothers. The kid is going to be a Heisman candidate as a sophomore and we need to get him on the field now!"

  37. The recent church shooting in Texas illustrates the uselessness of “gun free “ zone laws. I don’t agree with everything that Texas does, but they were correct in changing their previous law concerning places of worship.

  38. I don't think Diaco is as bad of a D coordinator as some people make him out to be. He didn't have talent at Nebraska. I think the previous two years after Diaco have shown that Nebraska has a talent issue. But he isn't going to have talent at Purdue either.

  39. We're going to a bowl next year, and will be competitive in 21. The schedule doesn't seem as daunting when you're a decent team. As soon as they start to believe they can win this thing will take off. They are close, things aren't nearly as bad as you portray.

  40. I’ll go out on a limb with predictions: 1. Sevion Morrison will play as freshman, and we will forget about Mo Washington because of it. 2. Marvin Scott will also show us some huge upside, but will only play in 4 games next year. 3. Will Nixon will be the second option behind Wan’Dale. 4. You’re nuts if you don’t think Nash Hutmacher doesn’t make the rotation in every game, or you’re just not paying attention. He’s been on the optimal weight training regime since he was 14. This will be a huge get for this staff. I’m excited to watch Ty and Nash together this next year. 5. Linebacker play will be drastically improved next year so long as the RS freshman stay healthy. (Domann isn’t leaving... that is just as ridiculous as the Wan’Dale rumors) 6. Noa Pola Gates will end up the starter at FS. 7. Cam Taylor-Britt will be an All-American corner. 8. The O-line will reduce sacks allowed by 12 from 2019 to 2020. Going from 28 allowed to 16. 9. The offense will score > 465 points across 12 games, and the defense will allow < 300. 10. We will have 5 additional defensive scores. 11. Fumbles lost will drop from 12 in ‘19 to 7 in ‘20. 12. They finish regular season with 9 wins.
