  1. Son of former CSU coach Sonny Lubick. So he likely hates CU football already, which is a plus.

  2. Whoever would've rather had Mickey Joseph than Lubick needs to have their head examined. MJ soured on Nebraska even before his time on the team was done. Doing wonderful things with WRs at LSU is more of a given than any sign of being an exceptional coach. And his brother Vance is nothing to brag about either. If you don't think Lubick is an immensely better hire, you just don't get it.

  6. You're less impressed with the guy who is known as a great recruiter and WR coach with Power 5 OC experience than a guy who's only been a position coach? Not saying Mickey would be a bad hire, but Lubick is at least on par.

  8. We fire Frost after going 9-3, interview but decline to give the job to Lubick and hire a newly fired NFL Coach like Adam Gase?

  9. I think Frost wanted to bring all of the UCF assistants with him to reduce the overall issues with the transition to NU. Frost had to deal with a transition to a new roster of players, in his eyes, it was easier to do that with a staff full of assistant coaches that he knew and could trust. Now that Frost has been at the helm for 2 years, he has better knowledge of the job required of him, and he is now willing to change up the coaching staff in an effort to improve.

  10. Mickey is the best possible OC at the moment. Period. He is the only one that played on Nebraska in our Glory days. How do you not get this?? It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that any Husker from 1980-1997 OBVIOUSLY has greatness in his blood, in his SOUL. Grant Wistrom was my pick for Receiver Coach, but according to my sources, the knuckleheads at NU never even contacted him! I mean WTF. Ah...i digress......Mickey has clearly proven his greatness being WR coach for the past 3 years because he had 1 year where his team won the Championship with the best QB season possibly ever recorded, and possibly the most talented receiving group ever, whom im sure he recruited in his 2 seasons prior. But look....i am from Nebraska, so people will call me biased...smh.

  11. This may have been answered before but I can't find one...... Why no consideration given to Ron Brown as the receivers coach? He's already a member of the program, has the vitae for WR coach and his receivers friggin knew how to block.

  12. I know these guys LOVE to talk about how much they work...but if you are working 6am until midnight as a CFB coach...you are a moron. Steve Spurrier used to make fun of the coaches that did that and for good reason. I get WANTING to be at the office, because you are hanging with your friends, you have catered meals all day long, you can watch sports all day...but the 15-18 hour day thing is sooooo dramatic.

  15. Because I'm a middle aged family man with a minimal social life, on a Saturday night I Just read the House Impeachment Brief for the Senate. I have recently been getting fatigued with all of this "drama" from Washington regarding the impeachment mainly because I've been paying attention to it much more that I probably should have over the past several months. I even, regrettably, snapped at a dear family member the other day who chose to criticize Pelosi over holding onto the articles. I apologized and swore to myself to keep more of an open mind about other's political beliefs. After all, I'm more of a Centrist than a D or an R. That being said, after reading this tonight, I don't see how any non-Fox News/Rush brainwashed person could possibly conclude that Donald Trump should not be removed from office. This Brief absolutely destroys every single defense Trump and his defenders in congress have alleged while this process has unfolded. The case made for impeachment and removal could not have been made any better, IMO. I would sure hate to be a GOP Senator at the moment. Especially, one due for re-election. Talk about a no-win situation Trump has put them in.... The next couple of weeks will be of monumental historical significance to say the least.

  17. Is it possible that frost also wanted an OC that he saw potential in to trust enough to call plays in the future? I don’t think he is ready to give up playcalling yet but if he gets to a point he knows he needs to be more of a CEO to take us to the next level.

  18. Well, it is time-stamped well after Walters was let go and Lubick was hired. However, you can't believe everything on the internet so good for you waiting for reliable sources.

  19. He was a pretty damn good recruiter for Washington. All the players he recruited are either RsFr or TrFr currently. He had 1 player he recruited transfer and the name might sound familiar to Husker folks, QB Colson Yankoff. Here is who he landed for Washington. 2018: Spiker - .9703 4* Yankoff - .9564 4* ( transferred to UCLA ) Osborne - .9180 4* Lowe - .9094 4* 2019: McDuffie - .9442 4* Turner - .9007 4* Davis - .8796 3*

  20. Hopefully he commits early. Fortunate to have a bunch great talent in our backyard for once. Thomas and Teddy, and if we could reel in Dickerson would be the cornerstone to a potentially great class.

  21. We have everyone back on O plus some nice additions, Purdue will be in their first game of a new, much different defensive scheme. Should move the ball all over them, unfortunately I can also seem them moving the ball all over us. Will be surprised if this one doesn't go down to the wire. Hopefully our ST's are fixed, could be the difference.

  23. And what we have here is an individual who can’t hold an intellectual conversation. A narcissist who attempts to race bait and a grown man who is a child. You've repeated the same things over and over concerning his play, so here is facts: AMart sophomore season: 1,956 yards, 10 tds, 9 ints, 59.2% comp. rating and 37 less attempts... While playing an entire season with a torn shoulder. 626 rushing yards and 7 TDs. TMart sophomore season: 2089 yards, 13 TDs, 7 ints, 56% comp. rating. 874 yards rushing, 9 TDs. On 44 more rushing attempts. TMart has 2 more games played too. So time to sit down and starting being factual or stop posting. Because as of late, you haven’t had anything beneficial to give anyone on this board.

  27. Question is...did Walters leave for another job or was he let go. The fact that another job hasn't even had smoke, I would guess SF realized we haven't had good WR play I really believe Lubick was his first choice. SF paid him for analysis last season, so he obviously values him and was giving him $ Not sure how it immediately helps offense. I agree with you there. His recruiting record will be an upgrade and as he teaches, we should see improvement. Again, wasnt awe struck with Walters anyway. Lubick hire was good. Only reason why Joseph was remotely "sexy" was because he is former player and LSU had success this year, which is more Joe Brady than anything. LSU has always had great WR, well before Joseph. He may be great coach, but Lubick has proven record. Better hire than Joseph at this point. No one is a bigger "homer" than me, but I am but I am not sure why everytime we have opening, former players get more love than proven commodities.

  28. Yeah, they’re not shingling roofs or screeding off concrete, they're sitting around talking on the phone, watching TV and eating little smokies. They should give people who do real labor a break with their work stories.

  29. 1. No 2. Frost says he was. I will just have to take your word on it. 3. Doesn’t change offense but can challenge frost ideas and with ideas that fit into the concepts of this offense. Will be nice to have a wr coach/pass coordinator focusing on the pass game and austin focusing on the run game. Frost can be the bridge between the 2 to make decisions to best fit the offense. 4. I agree 5. Maybe. His resume is probably not as impressive as Lubbick. Not an OC. Recruits athletes to LSU which has never been an issue.

  32. https://www.coloradoan.com/story/sports/csu/football/2019/01/08/matt-lubick-leaves-coaching-oversee-canvas-partnership-colorado-state-university/2513081002/ Matt Lubick, the oldest son of legendary CSU football coach Sonny Lubick, is giving up his college coaching career to come home and work with the new partnership between Canvas Credit Union and the university. Coaching, he said, left little time for anything else. Typical work days ran from 6 a.m. to midnight, seven days a week, during the season, and even when you did have time off, you were constantly sending text messages, taking phone calls and sending emails. “It’s always hard to leave coaching and the relationships you’ve had, but, at the same time, this was kind of thought out; this wasn’t a whim,'' he said. "To me, there’s stuff more important than football, and this lets me explore something different.” That doesn't inspire confidence about his commitment to football, he left coaching in 2019, maybe he found his spark again.

  33. I'm so done with Scott Frost. Just added to my list, "Lack of coach loyalty," and "Lack of consistency with assistant coach." The list also includes: No fullbacks on the roster Too many sideways passes Not starting McCaffrey Missed on Joe Burreaux Call me when the new head coach is announced. (do I need a sarcasm tag?)

  36. I dont agree. As thankful as some are that Scott didn't let his ego get in the way of firing coaches, I am equally thankful that he didnt let people's opinions of him get in the way of what he believes is true. Our defense was not the problem, in fact they improved. Our problem was QB and offense in general. This Chinander sucks stuff is rediculous considering the same people who claim this, fail to admit Adrian was the Anti-Borrow for lack of a better term.

  40. Because it's a big show and it's an obvious desperation move, and I think most Democrats/Independents regardless of who their favorite candidate is want the Dem candidates to mostly get along. I don't really have a favorite, I just don't want it to be Biden unless he's the only one who can beat Trump.
