  1. Even better would be a unbiased website where you plug in your earnings and see where you fall under all candidates plans.

  2. Because he doesn't care about the good of the country, at least not anywhere close to the equivalent amount he cares about his own narcissism and ego driven quest for success. Same can be said for Buttigieg for sure, and Biden, and Harris. Maybe Warren. Not Yang or Sanders tho, imo.

  3. Some of you blame the wrong person/people. It is BERNIE that has to inform the people of his plan, it is HIS job to tell us his ideas and present his plan and how it works. This is a f#&%ing job interview. It is his job to tell the interviewer (us) why he is the best person for the job. If I go on a job interview and the boss goes "So tell me, why are you the best person for the job" and I reply with "Ohhhhh wow, good question...trust me I am...you will see once you hire me how great I am" guess what...I am not getting the job.

  4. And thats the thing about the right wing, they will lie about anyone. If Biden is the nominee they will spread misinformation about Hunter Biden. If Bloomberg is the nominee they will make up some crazy number of how many blacks he threw in prison and Trumps low black unemployment. I mean he did throw a lot in jail bit theyd prob add a couple zeros to the actual number. If Warren is nominee they will talk about all her lies and embelish them big time. So whoever it is will be dealing with a smear campaign. I got to say though, one of my biggest criticisms of Sanders is that he doesnt easily spell things out for people. Hes gotten better since 2016 but you cant expect everyone to go to your website to find info. You need to make it easily for people and let them know in laymans terms.

  5. Yeah its wrong. 52% marginal tax rate for anyone making over $10,000,000.

  7. Fellas. I know it's the offseason, but comparing Belt to Burkhead is peaking a bit too soon don't you think?

  8. Biden shouldn't head a ticket, and you shouldn't want him to, as that would hurt the country.

  9. Sorry, I've been deathly sick the last 24 hours and haven't been able to do much of anything. But I'm feeling a bit better today and off work, so here goes: @BlitzFirst if you prefer polls, chew this one over: Sanders advantage evaporates in swing states. He undoubtedly does better in the Rust Belt, but he absolutely cannot compete in other purple or light-red swing states. Meaning AZ, FL, GA, NC are all out of play. These are all places that are shifting blue at differing paces (other than FL, where 2 years ago a Bernie acolyte tried to run his playbook and lost). But running a guy who fancies himself any form of the word socialist is simply going to tank our chances in these states and hurt downballot Dems running for Congress. I do think he could win MI. But as someone mentioned in the debate, once blue-collar Pennsylvanians find out his position calling for a total ban on fracking (a backbone of their economy), he's going to be dead in the water there. He's going to have to actually moderate his positions (gasp!) or come up with an argument that's a hell of a lot better than "the scientists say." That was a horrible answer even if he's correct. Not all that different from Clinton's "we're going to put coal miners out of business" quote. And as for WI here's the latest Quinnipiac swing state poll: WTH? How is WI trending this red? In short, my problem with Sanders is he creates for himself an extremely narrow map to victory. I think he pretty much has to win WI/PA/MI and all the other states Clinton won to win. Those states I listed first are just off the table altogether. And it's not like once he wins the nomination the next six months occur in a vacuum. He will no longer be playing in the minors, it will be Bernie vs. Trump 24/7. The GOP slime machine will be cranking overdrive on him. And once the discussion becomes how President Sanders doesn't tank the economy or put a bunch of people out of work or nationalize everything - believe me, that is the discussion Trump and others will try to force him to have - I think a lot of people get a lot more nervous about voting for him and opt to re-elect the doofus we have, with all his horrible flaws, because he's the devil we know. The past four+ years have turned me into a cynical old man regarding our politics, but I'm calling my shot now: This guy will get his butt kicked in a general election. And believe me, I'd love to come back and eat crow on this. It's not like I want him to lose by any means. I just think he will.

  10. All I know is the hunger and passion the fanbase has, I will be glad to be on board when we break through because if you want to see unbearable, watch what we become the first 3-4 years of real success from the viewpoint of an oppositions fan base.

  11. We win Colorado, Indiana, Purdue and Iowa. Maybe even get up on Wisconsin some where Chryst had to throw a little more then you never know what happens.

  12. Yup. Winning some games will really be fuel for the fire. Likewise when a couple more top rated guys commit then I think the flood gates may open for this coming class. If we can get some wins early then the season could finish a bit better than some think. There will be one or two of those perceived tough opponents fall down (they always seem to) and the door maybe opened if the Huskers will just step thru.

  13. People would rather get their info in meme form, usually from a biased website like “Conservative Liberty Eagle” where they own libs with facts. Bernies tax plan is on a website named bernietax.com. His income tax remains the same as the system in place, where it differs is if your household makes over $250,000 a year (so top 5% of households would see an increase in income tax). It also breaks down if you would lose or save disposable income with Bernies plan. My household is $150,000 - if my family needs $5,000 in healthcare costs, I break even with years past, if it’s under $5000 - I’m losing disposable income, if costs are over $5000- I’m saving money. Worth it in my eyes.

  14. ^^^This. I didn't think our offense was quite as bad as a lot of people thought last year. Our RZ offense was absolutely terrible though. If you improve that even to to like 85% which still isn't top 50 I bet we win 1-2 more games last year. Hoping that Vokolek, Manning, Betts and better OL play improve this a lot.

  15. Unfortunately people who won't bother to learn what Bernie's plan actually says will see stuff like this and believe it. Misinformation works on those who don't care about facts.

  16. I've seen this meme making the rounds: First, Bernie's proposed TOP tax bracket is 52%, roughly the same as Ronald Reagan's first tax plan. It is for those making over $10,000,000 income per year, not anyone making over $29,000. Second, even if we assume this hypothetical was accurate, said minimum wage worker now has full health care (no deductions out of his paycheck, no premiums, no deductibles, no copays, no surprise bills, no limits).

  17. Fix this and the offense looks a lot better: RZ Scoring% 75.76% (#105)

  20. Well, they did produce a good amount, right? Didn't NU end up like 3rd in the conference in rushing? Or was that just attempts.

  21. The Colorado purdue and indiana games should have been absolute wins. The first two were bad teams and indiana should not be good enough to beat you at home. That's 8 right there.

  22. It always confuses me when i hear Nebraska fans say the national media or the big 10 doesn't respect Nebraska when the off-season is filed with articles like this every year.

  23. Not sure if anyone has seen these stats but he has made significant improvements at every stop. Special team efficiency rating S&P 2011 Memphis (pre-Rutledge): 115th 2012 Memphis: 60th 2013 Memphis: t-1st 2013 North Carolina (pre-Rutledge): t-31st 2014 North Carolina: 91st 2015 North Carolina: 8th 2015 Missouri (pre-Rutledge): t-93rd 2016 Missouri: 96th 2017 Missouri: t-5th 2017 Auburn (pre-Rutledge): t-59th 2018 Auburn: 41st 2019 Auburn: t-7th I think we have a major upgrade and a quiet but great hire. 25. Yeah, that's nice and all. But by returning production they're only looking at the skill positions. Oh wait, our whole O-line is back. Never mind.

  26. I don't think they're talking top 10 by raw numbers - Minnesota was 22nd in PPG, 43rd in YPG, and 24th in YPP last year. But they were 7th in Offensive S&P+, and were absolutely better than some of the offenses above them in raw numbers. Any offense is going to produce at different levels in the Big Ten versus the AAC. Controlling for competition matters, even if it's not perfect. We were only 41st in S&P+ offense last year so still a big leap, but we don't have to put up 500+ yards per game to be a top ten offense. And we still could - we put up 497 on Wisconsin, 685 against Illinois, and had some other good games despite our issues last year. Need to more effectively turn those into points, but it's not as much of a stretch as some are saying. And yeah, I've been hitting the kool-aid pretty hard so take my opinion with a grain of salt.

  27. And 247 gets paid to place Nebraska in these ratings by all of us. Writers place Nebraska in a lot of preseason things because they know we have the type of fan base that will click on their articles by the thousands. Publications/writers simply make more money by appealing to fan bases that are interested in anything about their team, even if that said team has been bad for several consecutive years. I do believe our offense will be solid this year, but against our schedule, top 10 is seems pretty unrealistic to me. Hope I'm wrong.

  28. Did he do a better job explaining it on the Rogan podcast? I imagine his tax plan isn't something that can be boiled down to a simple sound bite in a debate. Sadly, most people won't bother to educate themselves on these things. They expect to be spoon-fed simple information, and get angry or confused when making a decision requires a little more thought. That's why we're in the mess with government we're in today, and why things like "Lock her up!" and "MAGA!" resonate with some of the electorate. They're too lazy to actually learn.

  29. I get your points, but you really think they couldn't have developed differently under this staff? Or Ohio State's for Lindsey? If they wanted to be here and bought in, they could have helped us a lot. They didn't so it's kind of a moot point, but Roberts has looked good for Oregon State. I wouldn't say Bookie is mediocre, he's just very inconsistent. Fisher took Jackson who was waaay worse than Bookie when he got here and helped him turn into an all-conference corner. Tyjon is a weird case where he just doesn't seem as fast as he was supposed to be, but I think he could've played over everyone except JD and Wan'Dale last year. I get that we're all bitter these guys didn't come here/left, but let's not pretend we're at the point where they aren't good enough to have helped us.

  30. Not sure where we finished in yards produced but we were not very good in scoring and thats the most important thing. Not efficient offensively nor consistent. The entire team has been inconsistent for 6 years. The most disappointing and troublesome concern about theae first two Frost coached teams is not being a steady, confident very hard working and determined bunch that emulates it leader! This is Frost himself and I still feel it is THE reason Frost will get the program rolling eventually (starts Aug 2020) - as he will finally get the culture changed and some jntrasquad leadership guys of the right types to step forward and assert their wills. That fighting spirit will catch fire and then look out.

  31. Thats cause those fans that say that still think its 1998. And if Nebraska isn't thought of in the national media as being one of the top tier programs in the country, than we are being disrespected in comparison to their beliefs on where we stand. If i wasn't a Nebraska fan i would say Nebraska is one of the most over-rated programs in the country. But because i live here and know who we were for so many decades, i say the national media is about right on us. The 40 and over population of this country actually wants Nebraska back and respects Nebraska. The under 40 crowd, or any Iowa fan probably mostly think of Nebraska in the same way they think of Iowa or Tennessee. Who here still thinks Tennessee is a stud program?

  33. It still perplexes me to think back about last year. 8-4 was very doable. And 7-5 should have been a slam dunk. The CU loss was a tough pill to swallow. Even so, we still looked okay for the season up through the midway point. After NW we were sitting at 4-2. Not great, but okay. But after the NW game in the first week of October the wheels fell off the wagon. The only game we won after Oct. 5 was Maryland. Ouch! The wheels didn't just fall of the wagon. The wheels fell off, rolled down a hill and knocked over a silo killing old Betsy the cow.
