  1. So he is either going to Minnesota, becoming a new black panther, addicted to pain meds or having mental health problems. Seems legit

  2. Would be consistent with the Bill Moos era of Husker athletics thus far.

  4. We are right on the edge of this becoming the weed should/ should not be legal thread. I'm so excited. If we could somehow work in Ron Brown, and N is for BoHate could post about how much he hates Bo we could have the dumpster fire trifecta! C'mon Huskerboard. Let's get this!

  5. The establishment is rallying around the same exact type of candidate that gave us Trump. Literally nothing has been learned since 2016, and if it seems like Bernie had a better shot this time it's only because the establishment took longer to prop up the chosen candidate. It seems hopeless that this system will ever produce a presidential candidate who isn't deep in someone else's pockets. It's not over and things could change drastically today, but 538 heavily predicts a contested convention and lord knows if it comes to that the superdelegates will again overwhelmingly side with their establishment candidate. I hate political parties so much.

  6. Moos has no clue what to do at this point. Edit: and this is the kind of crap that irritates me to a point where I just want to throw my hands up and say screw it. 2 years until what? We make a bowl, cause that 2021 schedule isn't forgiving either. If you hired someone and your confidence level in that person is to say, "well maybe we are two years out" than you shouldn't have hired that person in the first damn place. What message does that send to fans and the players where the AD can't even give positive affirmation on the state of the programs. Every hire made has under performed no matter how you slice it. I am so sick of half a$$ excused by leadership that still continues to fall on it's face despite the fan support and financial advantages. We were a bottom tier team in football when Moos took over and as of today we are still that same bottom tier team, perhaps even worse. Two years? If the sentiment is we are two years away each damn off season then in two years I pray we have a new AD. Rant over.

  7. Hope he comes back. If he doesn't then I could see Hickman playing a lot more WR instead of TE. We have Stoll and Vokolek at TE with depth behind them. We can still be pretty good at WR if Omar is even close to as good as we think he is going to be. Pair that with Wan'dale and we could be solid. I think Alante Brown will be a name to watch too. He is on campus early and seems to have all the attributes needed to play in this offense.

  8. I am hearing that it is between Us, Iowa, and Kansas State. He is leaning on playing football at the next level, and it seems likely that he will receive a scholarship to do so. Take that FWIW.

  9. He's definitely going to see action this year no doubt. Personally he's not my QB3 though. Vedral is serviceable but if I'm coaching McCaffrey is going in 2nd for now at least.

  11. I love JD, I hope the best for him, truly. Anytime you lose a senior receiver that has produced like he has you are going to feel it. Doomsday predictions, however, are overkill. He doesn't thrive as a #1 receiver and he doesn't enjoy the leadership role among the team either. Again, great athlete, left his heart on the field at all times, but losing a star that doesn't star and a senior leader that doesn't lead doesn't signal the end for 2020.

  13. Roster management is even tougher when you ultimately need to flip almost the entire roster. The OL recruiting difference between Riley and Frost is night and day. The walk on program also takes more than just a couple of years to be productive. Frost has been getting guys to leave that simply didn't have what it took to compete at a B1G level. That's actually pretty good roster management.

  14. Ron brown isn’t a coach, but that’s one hell of a dig. I really don’t see what his personal views have to do with this situation specifically.

  15. It hasn't been stolen from anyone, just go vote. Bernie absolutely can still win this. Biden gets a couple of endorsements and suddenly it's over and it's rigged? Just go vote!!!!

  17. By all accounts jd wasn’t a leader and didn’t want to be. Our leadership has and will continue to come from frosts recruits, really like the way some of the 2nd yr guys talk and hold accountable others in their class, nows the time to expand that to the team. The sky is not falling, it’s a set back, but nobody that’s chosen to leave, minus jd (which is still undecided), would have contributed meaningful snaps or production this fall. People need to quit comparing unl to UCF, completely different situations, with unl being a much harder lift obviously, and it’s not even close.

  21. Every team has quite a few pot smokers. If they did a study on the matter i would guess 25% of college football players smoke pot. Not sure why its a big deal, when players that drink don't get the same type of scrutiny.

  23. Joe gets upsets in Minnesota and Massachusetts, and won all the southern states he was expected to (Texas is ongoing but it's not a part of that group). It's looking safe to call Biden the presumptive nominee at this point and one could make a strong argument that we've taken a step backwards from Hillary here. It would have been nice to get a breath of fresh air, but instead it's another Obama cabinet retread whose campaign theme may as well be "status quo".

  27. Really hope the O Line starts the season hot. They noticeably picked it up towards the end of 2019. I was in the north end zone for the Wisconsin game and I can’t remember the last time I saw running lanes develop like they did in that game.

  28. I was hoping he'd dump Pence in favor of Rand Paul so a more libertarian candidate would be set up for 2024, but Nikki Haley would be a good choice also.

  30. Selfishly, I have made comments about young guys needing to develop faster here. Skill guys at Nebraska should only need a year at most to get on the field. Well, the young guys will have no choice but to grow up fast and play. I am kind of excited about it, despite knowing how big of a loss this is. Feels good to be back on the board. Why all the ads tho?

  33. Well, he may be depressed but certainly not as depressed as Husker Nation is. We've been putting up with this sh#t for 20 years while he's only been in the program a few years. Relax, it's a joke..... It's all we've got left.

  34. This is definitely a tough blow. Lets pray Frost can land 2 or 3 WR transfers... I know there are a few good ones out there right now. Also, if you saw JD's twitter posts over the offseason and now his most recent instagram post, he's definitely going through a state of depression. Hope he can figure that out before the summer but if not, it is what it is.

  35. Because JD's best season came from getting those throws from AM in 2018 and JD suffered from not having a big bodied WR lining up next to him this past season but he still had success. The problem isn't all the throws, it's the body type and lack of separation he was getting that got him smoked on a handful of plays. If taking shots as a player is cause for concern to leave the team than Wan'dale would have been gone after game 3. Hits are going to happen, but it is minimized when it's Stanley taking those shots cause they are built for that, JD is not. JD is poised to have a great season because Frost and co have that big bodied type coming in as well as another year of Hickman in the weight room. Him leaving is on his own accord, not because of what we have or why there isn't a qb competition.

  36. I’m young and voting Bernie. I see young people (Bernie supporters) b!^@hing on Twitter already - fact is young people still didn’t come out for him, just gotta blame ourselves. Bottom line, I’ll happily vote for Biden if it comes to that in November.

  37. I agree wholeheartedly, well said. No fractured fields, no excuses. Just two good men offering different visions for the future of the party and the country. In the end, they should compete with each other and let the voters decide.
