  1. I don't suppose anyone actually checked CNN itself before running with the "The MSM is colluding with Biden's campaign" nonsense, right? Because as of 1:45pm on Sunday, here's the story with a link to the Larry King show on CNN's Politics front page.

  3. It’s his acute business sense. He’s putting together a deal. Artfully setting up negotiations with the WHO. It’s a deal that rings of artistry and craftsmanship, and the skill is rare indeed. The execution of this skill is unique. I call it the ‘Art of the Deal’

  8. This isn’t what people are talking about when they talk about Trump’s kids. Hunter getting a random job in some other country in part because of his last name is not close to Trump’s kids working for him and having an active role in how our government is run with no vetting or qualifications for it. The former had no effect whatsoever on our country and Biden didn’t get the job for him or pressure anyone into giving him the job. For good reason there aren’t laws about the former but are about the latter; he’s just breaking them with no repercussions because the GOP doesn’t give a f#&% about the things they should.

  9. Mav, not sure why you're not getting more love in this "run the damn ball" Huskerboard world here. Biggest critique of everyone else is weak OLs (IMO). We've seen what Iowa and Wisconsin OLs can do for mediocre QBs/RBs lololol.

  10. I don't mean to pick on this one tweet but what has happened to writing and journalism? Is it the Twitter platform or are people getting stupid or not being properly educated? I assume Chris Dunker works for LJS. "Shoot passed" instead of shoot past? It's unbelievable the proliferation of bad grammar and incorrect word usage. Sometimes the messenger can kill the message.

  11. Why did Biden stop the investigation? Perhaps Trump should make a phone call.\ Really? which foreign companies hired them for do-nothing jobs on their stellar resumes?

  12. It hardly seemed relevant enough to be the very first thing you say after the first pick in the draft. So yeah I think he is a douche for being a pot stirrer. Typical espn ratings based nonsense. Burrow also had his shot to come to Nebraska out of hs so his whole story just seems like a fake chip on the shoulder type deal.

  14. The thing is, this isn't unique to COVID, this is how cause of death certificates always work. If a person has colon cancer or Alzheimer's and then becomes positive for COVID-19 and dies, they have 100% died of Sepsis due to COVID-19. They had other co-morbidities, but the actual cause of death is still sepsis due to COVID-19. Their lives were shortened and ended due to this disease. This is how "cause of death" is determined by physicians who complete a death certificate. This would only be a point if they didn't always do it like this.

  15. And we out recruit our conference foes year in and year and still lose......My first and most honest assessment is a complete lack of player develop.....BUT it is also a combination of players who had 3 different HC's, multiple coordinators, multiple position coaches, scheme and techniques....It is hard not to be 100% honest as a fan and realize that NU football has been a sh!t show for quite some time. Regardless of Frosts record this year or next, looking at our dismal record, you wonder if holding the line for the duration of his 7 year contract is the best if not only course we have....

  20. It still comes down to the Democrat and Republican voters. They are the ones that have given us these two candidates. On the Democrat side, there were probably a half dozen people who could have ultimately been a better candidate. But, no...we get another 70+ year old guy who should be home playing with his grand kids.

  21. This game is based on an online community for talking about college football as a whole, and the small teams (think wyoming, colorado state, rutgers, uconn) etc that get eliminated the first day all have a place to play. Ultimately Chaos has perks so that it is very weak when defending but they are very strong when attacking. Oklahoma was recently killed and they are trying to organize Chaos. It's tough though as there is no official line of communication for them. Also, we are not winning but we are in the top 5! which is pretty solid!

  22. How is it quiet? People are talking about it right now in this topic you’re replying to, including saying he shouldn’t be the nominee (that was me). I also said I’d be ok with both Trump and Biden choking on a sandwich if they’re rapists. You must be bad at Where’s Waldo? Also, dunno if it’s just me, but I’m completely burned out now and I’m disappointed at the DNC for continuing to fail when all they need to do right now is be mediocre.

  23. What Biden is accused of is gross and unacceptable. What Trump is accused of is gross and unacceptable. In this discussion, we need to accept one of them. There were many choices in the Kavanaugh debacle. We don't have that luxury now. Pick a pervert and defend!

  24. last election the media covered trump saying he grabbed em by the kitty and it got him elected. this time a woman says a candidate grabbed her by the kitty and it isn't getting covered. guess that means joe won't win. why is the MSM against Joe?

  25. So many hypocrites on both sides when it comes to sexual assault and party allegiance. I remember the Kavanaugh thread on here. Most would have hung the man before the trial, but it’s pretty quiet when it’s their guy.

  26. Who goes to GooglePlay to watch a 25 year old episode of Larry King Live? The only reason a person would seek that episode would be because they already saw it shared. Again, it's obviously been removed while others are still there. But people at CNN are professionals, they'd have to know that this would be obvious and create more questions. Right? That just leads me to believe there was "potentially" some other reason. CNN could have gotten rid of all LKL content and no one would have noticed, or at least they could make an excuse about data storage and internet traffic.

  28. So it would be better for the kid riding the pine to stay put to avoid taking the starting job of some kid at another school? Damn that Joe Burrow for taking some poor LSU QB's job away. Damn him to hell!
    1 point
  29. So that way - when they transfer they can go make someone else "ride the pine" It's like the idiot parent who starts going after the coach about playing time - well the moment the coach starts engaging about it, he starts talking about someone else's kid's playing time. This is a dumb thing to propose and hopefully it gets shot down. Unbelievable. This will hurt Nebraska more than it will help.

  30. Yes, the Trump kids are doing much worse than Hunter Biden. By all means let's talk about them.
    1 point
  31. I mean, if you're not OK with what Hunter Biden did that's fine, but there are three Trump children doing this exact thing x 1,000 in this country right now. In our government, not in a private business. Right now. Why aren't we talking about that?

  32. I think the content of the recording tells us volumes. That's not the question of a mother who was told her daughter had been sexually assaulted.

  33. Hunter Biden Burisma is the new But Her Emails. Think how much those emails have impacted the last four years of your life. That's how much anything Trumpists bring up about Hunter Biden Burisma is going to impact the next four years. It's a troll. You let yourself be trolled four years ago. Don't fall for it again.

  34. a lot of the times being a udfa is better than being a 7th round pick. It means a team wasn’t able to fill all it’s hole and now they can go attempt to get what they feel is the best available player at a position of need. Lots of guys have success after going undrafted

  36. That is both a true and carefully worded statement. It is an important reminder to the ‘immunity passport’ crowd. It also should be mentioned that acute viral exposure that produces antibodies historically means that the recovered person has at least temporary immunity from another infection, assuming the strain hasn’t mutated significantly. Fauci is exercising restraint and caution as much as anyone: “sometimes you have to act on a historical basis,” Anthony Fauci, the head of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, said in a webcast with JAMA this month. “It’s a reasonable assumption that this virus is not changing very much. If we get infected now and it comes back next February or March we think this person is going to be protected.”

  37. Yeah, I say why not both? "We thought if anything it would help us ‘cus that's what we've been hearing on the news." The lady's own words. Toilet paper hoarding was never recommended by the administration, yet: “It might seem weird that people would hoard toilet paper because toilet paper is not going to prevent you from getting infected. I think what’s happening is this is going viral with images of people panic-buying toilet paper." Yes the media can make things worse. Human psychology is weird like that...

  38. Sure...his Dad is Joe Biden, former VP of the USA. That is what he "did", it is why Hunter was picked over Bob Schmeckie. There is nothing wrong with it, he got a sweet gig and it helped because of his last name. What is so outlandish about that? Look, you are a practice guy...do this Do you think who his Dad is/was A. Helped B. Hurt C. Literally had no impact at all D. None of the above If you had to pick, if your life depended on it...you are picking A...we all are. Nothing wrong with your Dad (or name) helping you out in life. It is not outlandish...In fact it would be outlandish if Joe REFUSED to help his kid out.

  39. Look, I know what you're getting at, but Hunter Biden doesn't get that job if his dad isn't Joe Biden.
    1 point
  40. Maybe, but everyone knows Joe got his son that sweet gig...it is just that no one REALLY cares about that because most of us are either cool with nepotism (I am) or wish that our parents could line us up with a sweet gig because of their high powered connections.

  44. They also currently have one of the best programs in the country, with a well established program. An offer from them is in high demand and they can be ultra selective. Not to mentioned Dabo has always had s better recruiting base than Nebraska has had from Pelini though Frost. Still think these number of offers will decrease when things get more stable. I get the development aspect but think is a lazy take imo.
