  1. This is what I've never understood. When I talk with certain friends or family, they insist that I'm being brainwashed by the MSM and I'm hearing his words out of context. They can't defend him when I respond with the fact that I don't have cable and don't watch the talking head shows; the sources I use to form my opinions of Trump come directly from his Twitter feed and his speeches/interviews. I've actually shared transcripts with them only to have them claim its "fake" or "doctored". Then i follow with the video... Sometimes I wonder if they've ever taken the time to actually listen to him talk/type. Or if they are the ones forming opinions from "talking heads" that translate Trumps drivel into words they want to hear. I try to explain both perspectives when talking about political issues with my kids. They seem to always have a lot of questions regarding government (they are 10, going on 11). I try explain the pros and cons of conservative and liberal arguments and let them decided. But I don't hide the fact Trump is a clown and they should not feel bad calling him an idiot in front of teachers or friends. Because he is.

  2. Did you notice that every day there's a new devastating ad showing how horrible Trump is, and almost all of them are just clips of him talking?

  3. Both probably would have played this fall. Newsome more on ST but had been catching the coaches eyes. I think Nixon would have contributed a good amount. His versatility would’ve put him ahead of Fleming and Brown easily and honestly believe he’d be the biggest new WR contributor not named Manning

  8. Newsome a bigger blow on ST than CB as is. Need to get Nadab Joseph. Nixon another blow for in the WR room. Need to keep Wan’Dale at WR only/gadget plays in space out the backfield to lessen the beating on him. It’s hard to see us fielding a good WR core with the limited depth that we have.

  9. Moderate deal, imo. I thought Nixon had a chance to give us some go. Newsome was going to provide solid depth as #3/#4 CB and ST.

  10. I won't mind wearing one on the sideline...it will be easy to talk to my coaches and say things like "Seriously, is that idiot really the best kid we have at DE...He f#&%ing sucks...wow...that one is his mom? Good lord"

  11. Um, what elicited this question? I would not be surprised at all if it turned out Clinton was a rapist/child molestor. I can think that without believing in the dumbass conspiracy theories about the Clintons. His potentially being a child molester doesn’t mean he has the power to have Epstein murdered under Trump’s DOJ or various other murders there are conspiracy theories about where either he or Hillary had someone murdered. Honestly it’s crazy to think that a bunch of police/security would do his bidding. Most don’t like Democrats or Clinton. It’s amazing how many conspiracies there are about Hillary especially.

  14. Based on Colorado data, among positive test results the 20-29 age group has a 5% hospitalization rate, 30-39 has 8%, and 40-49 has 13%. So even if only 20-29 year olds were getting virus, hospital space would run out if enough got it all at once.

  20. Gung Ho! It was a good movie...underrated in my opinion. I think people almost forget what a big start Keaton was... If you get a chance, watch The Founder. He plays Ray Krock (I think) who basically stole Mcdonalds.

  24. You do understand this is a process, correct? Because this is a new disease, we are actually still in the learning phase of it. As we learn more about it, opinions and methodology change. It's the same reason why the people who are trying to troll Fauci for his opinions in January and February are incredibly cringe. Masks were not at the forefront of the discussion at the beginning because 1. we didn't know exactly how the virus was being transmitted, and 2. they were deemed essential for healthcare workers and those caring for sick individuals. 4 months later, we know more about the transmission and that one of the best ways of preventing it is by wearing masks. That's why the majority of the discussion has centered around wearing masks in public to help flatten the curve, or did you just start paying attention?

  25. My county in NC specifically got mentioned last week by Dr Birx as a spot to watch.....Not a great way to make the news........Hospital (nationally recognized is doing well). We were going to open phase 3 about 2 weeks ago, but adjusted to a phase 2.5 (still in phase 2). Gov just ordered mandatory masks when social distance not applicable, but law enforcement won't enforce. I wear a mask, don't mind. Be a better human and all that. Went out today (Home Depot and Wal Mart) and saw about 99% of folks were masked up. Masks might not work(I think they do), but people are wearing them like they will.

  28. There are lots of "eagle on top of something round" insignias, including a lot inside our own country and government, but everything in America, and in other western countries, that has that general composition has the eagle facing west. Nazi Germany's eagle facing east/right was/is an important distinction that made it unique and specific.

  29. That's true, but they won't be traveling to several states, having hundreds from other states traveling to them, being confined into small airplane cabins, spending time in hotels and so forth, which are all big factors in increased spreading.

  33. A couple of things.... I really hate wearing masks after about 5 minutes. I hate them, BUT, I always wear them when I am in stores, restaurants etc..... I work at a school. We will have to wear a mask 100% of the time when in school. The students will all have plexiglas guards that are portable and they will carry from class to class. They will not have to wear masks in class. We will have 100% of the kids in our school daily. It will be hard, but it is what will have to do. I tell the adults to suck it up. The key will be to find a mask that is comfortable. I am right of center when it comes to things. I believe you should wear a mask. It is hard for me to understand why people fight it. I have many questions about all of the other stuff, but not masks. If you don't want to wear a mask, then stay home. Our Governor is speaking right now. I suspect we will all have to wear masks after today in our state. It is OK. It sucks, but so does many things we have to do in life. Suck it up and let's get through it!

  34. It's inconvenient. It's against my civil rights. It's what limp wristed commies do. Yesterday, our governor here in Oregon made it mandatory to wear masks indoors in public places. A state trooper walked into a coffee shop without a mask. He was told put one on and his reply was, "F--- Kate Brown (our governor)" It's against the law to force people to wear a mask." This came from a state cop. Of course it's not against the law per our state's supreme court, but that's the attitude many have. In this case, one who should know better.

  35. First this is biology. Nothing is constant in biology. The virus changes, our resistant to it changes, our knowledge changes so of course advice is going to change. It's the best we can do with a novel virus and coming down on experts because they didn't, and still don't, have all the answers is shortsighted. Masks are a piece of the puzzle. It would have been better if everyone had jumped on the bandwagon a month ago but they didn't. What masks can do is help get the r factor down below 1 and the spread will slow. Once the cases are at "manageable" level then a robust testing and contact tracing system can be more effective. There are other countries that have done just that. And they have their lives back for the most part. But if we do nothing about getting the r factor under control and allow this to continue to spread will-nilly, then you're right, there won't be football. As to people b!^@hing about giving our best effort based on the available science...f them. We're a society of spoiled brats. You don't give a brat the time of day.

  36. This is flawed logic. Doing nothing and waiting until it’s over is not a plan.....well, it seems to be dear leaders plan but it’s not a plan that will help mitigate the damage. Just because there are some unknowns about the disease is no reason to ignore the best information we do have. Masks help limit the spread. That is known. That is a fact. There actually are some folks who know something about it. They are commonly referred to as experts, epidemiologists, doctors, etc. So yes, there are some folks who know some truths and know what they are talking about. And I don’t believe anyone here has guaranteed football will occur with mask wearing. You may be Misinterpreting what “wear a damn mask if you want football” actually is saying. That is intended, and rightfully so, to mean that we likely won’t have football if people continue to not wear masks. It’s no guarantee that football will happen with masks but rather well supported and intentioned reasoning that it won’t even be a possibility unless people start helping to limit the spread. Really, this shouldn’t need to be explained to anyone who is paying attention or who is remotely trying to acknowledge facts. Nobody here is making absolute claims but some seem to be willfully ignoring the experts and what is known about this deal. If you want a chance at a football season being played, do your part and wear a mask to limit the spread. Please don’t wait until it’s over months/years from now to determine what it is we should‘ve been doing right now. You know what, it’s too late then. That’s like refusing to save for retirement, ignoring your financial advisor’s recommendations, reaching retirement age and only then realizing you should’ve saved some money.

  37. Flattening the curve by wearing masks (plus social distancing) is the best method that we know of to get life back to some semblance of normal; this includes having football and all of the pomp and circumstance that comes with it.

  38. Just to point out how stupid many of his followers are that believe this s#!t. Over the last year, the stock market is down roughly 4%. Year to Date, it's down roughly 10%. Over the last month, it's been basically flat. This idiot knows he can throw out total BS and his worshipers will drink it up no matter what.

  39. This is true. Although I would adjust slightly for groups of people gathering for social justice and mostly wearing facemasks, and groups of people at bars, beaches and parties protesting facemasks themselves.

  40. Its the masks. Simple as that. Hong Kong one of the densest and most public transit heavy cities on the planet has had less than 10 deaths b/c everyone is wearing masks. The funny thing of it is that the govt had outlawed mask wearing recently for political/surveillance reasons. So they are wearing them in defiance of their government, people here are being defiant by not wearing them.

  41. here it comes again another emotion, the closer we get to the 2018 Nebraska Season starting. My Dad will be watching from the heavens as his beloved Cornhuskers play football. Was listening on Youtube, and finding this stuff brought tears to my eyes. This music plays, But it's not the 2018 team, it's the former players walking out the tunnel, as the audio and highlights play of the Cornhuskers. The players walk out and form the rows the current players run around as the run onto Memorial Stadium. Cut to Tom Osborne, Orange Bowl Locker Room, 1998 the final speech, "Keep it going"... Then A shot of Coach Scott Frost and the words "20 Years In The Making" Fade to black and the well known music starts... Ladies and Gentlemen, Your 2018 Nebraska Cornhuskers. And the Current Tunnel Walk Plays. I have goosebumps thinking of my Dad yelling loudly during games, instilling in us what it means to be a Cornhusker Fan. This is in his honor. I just wanted to take the opportunity to share it, know this, there are Former players and fans that are going to be willing Nebraska to victories this year and beyond. That will is going to be in the heart of every player, as they have already become, bigger, stronger and faster. Go Big Red.
