If I were you I'd probably avoid watching the Huskers play this season. You won't be happy either way. If we do good, it means you were wrong so you'll be sad. If we do poorly, you were right and therefore we suck and you'll be sad. You are in a no win situation my friend. Time to find a hobby.

I think there definitely is some racism in all of this. But, there is also just military mentality in some(important word) police that make them feel like they can handle people and situations however they want. That is not limited to just white police officers.

Let me simplify things: All the GOP understands is power. They will take it for themselves anytime it is available to them, no matter how scummy it is perceived. I’ve grown to love this schedule. It’s always been a frustration of mind that we always start the season with 4 games that give us no clue how good we are. This year, every week is a big game. Especially at the start.

I think it's pretty clear now that the greater football world doesn't get Nebraska. We would rather go 0-10 if it meant the alternative option was not playing at all. Not the goal but the game.

I also do not know how much Real practice we actually got. Of course this goes for all other teams as well. So, I guess, all we can do is wait and see what we do in our first game. I’m very calm. I am just completely amazed at how somebody can ignore common sense and be so in the bag for a con man like Trump. Yes, you amaze and befuddle me. It’s incredible really, and that is not a compliment. How do you possibly consider cutting payroll taxes for 3 months and then doubling them for the next 3 any sort of stimulus? Really, explain that to me because I don’t get it. The people who desperately need an extra $600 bucks over Sept, Oct, Nov, Dec are also the people who cannot afford to pay an extra $600 on top of their usual payroll taxes in the first quarter of next year. What got stimulated? Nothing. Who did it help? Nobody except Trump in this election with people who don’t understand they won’t be able to afford food in Jan, Feb and March. Stimulus my a$$.

So watching Miami Hurricanes last night, it got me wondering about the addition of Lubick as OC. How will, if any different the Huskers will look. Miami picked up Gus Malzahn disciple Rhett Lashlee as OC and it shows.....Herbstreit said that his trade mark is not taking his foot off the gas. Again it showed. I also liked this quote: Lashlee told the media on Monday that “you throw the ball to score but you run the ball to win” Also talked about getting the ball out quicker to have the OL not pass block as long. Made me think of Verduzco's philosophy of a quick blinker. Someone who can see the field and get rid pf the ball. I bring this all up to wonder if NU on O will look any different under Lubick than it did under Walters. I know Frost is the OC, but will Lubick have a bigger role? Will he actually be the OC or in name only? Will he give the QB less "reads" to play faster and keep the D on their heels. Play calling the past two years hasn't been stellar at times. Is this the year NU finally has an offense capable of scoring form anywhere on the field. Do we actually have success in the screens, quicks outs etc....The ability to get tough yards in the trenches reliably....

I agree, I didn't like it at first. But you are right. We have become fragile as a fan base. We want "get back" to where we were? Let's start it with a big fat upset first game. Next kick the badgers butt and send them back to the 80's. Treat Iowa like Iowa like the historic mediocre team that it is. Sink Minny's boat. For sure. Don't get a sniff when we get rag dolled every year by Ohio State. Where we do pick up kids they don't stay. Winning games this year is a must, going 3-5 would be quite bad for recruiting.

Watching games from the Bo years, I can’t believe how good we were every year. I mean 9 wins is a lot. And we had talent- lots of it. I think I’ve mis-remembered a lot of his tenure. Sure there was a lopsided loss to Wisconsin- that was embarrassing- but there was plenty of good too. The criticism of the fans never bothered me, we are obnoxious and deserved it. And I was glad we had a coach who felt losses, particularly right after they happened. The troubling thing for me was the escalation of his behavior. He’s a flame that burns our early.

I know teachers can feel this way, but I would be totally against this.
