yeah but they all got a “free” year as well. They still have 3-4 yrs left in the program depending on status. If NPG can be a monster on special teams and get some decent reps this year (using him as an example) he’ll still just be a soph in 2022 if my thinking is correct. so, we have 9 of 11 starters back for a magical 6th yr let’s call it. All the younger guys are still young thru next year and moving into 2022 will STILL have 3 yrs to play. Can’t lose unless the amazing portal sucks them in. the converse would be if 7-8 guys hung it up after this BS covid year and we have to start guys who are actually true soph/redshirt players. Instead, we have a returning nucleus that can play as 5-6th yr dudes and a full stable of younger guys that are competing every day. and don’t forget who our offense is practicing against. It’s not 1 v 1 everyday but if the offense has to practice against the 2’s, which consist of players who may have been starting...well it’s a win win. guys coming back on the D side of the ball is so good for the whole team. Especially since the younger guys didn’t lose a year.

I have said this since Luke has been here. Taysom Hill. Had a great Soph campaign. Threw for almost 3k and rushed for 1300...........A ton of season ending injuries really put a damper on his numbers. BUT in the NFL he has excelled as a jack of all trades. QB, receiver, RB, punter and special teams. I am no QB guru, but Luke does appear to have some promise. A lot of ups and downs. Issues on some long throws, some INT's etc...But AM has issues as well. I think he is our most dynamic player on the field. Even more so than Wan'dale. Now with Wan'dale gone and possibly him, our O will look like it did with JLo. AM runs, AM throws, AM runs again. Pretty easy to stop....I'm hoping he stays. Seems like a gamer. Again back to Hill, Luke could be that guy. A threat to make a play from any skill position on the field. Frost needs to use this to his advantage. Much like Payton at NO. He knows what he has in Hill and exploits the hell out of D's with his use....Frost could stand to watch some of the Saints games and how they use Hill....Luke is the type of athlete that Frost needs to find a way to get touches during the game.

How many of those vaccinated work in facilities that can easily administer a vaccine? How many of those vaccinated are incredibly high risk and eager for a shot? It's going to get a hell of a lot harder to vaccinate 1 million Americans in any given day when you are trying to get the general public at large to do this. You are fighting exponentially more complicated logistics, peoples' work schedules, accessibility concerns, and perhaps biggest of all, the apathy and beliefs of the American people. Let's set aside the tens of millions of anti-science and political cultists and use me as an example. I'm 29 years old, work M-F 8-5, haven't seen a doctor since I was 18 because I have zero health concerns, no one I know has had even minor complications from the virus, and I've welcomed contracting Covid just for the break from work. I'm not afraid of this thing at all. How do you convince me to get the vaccine? I believe that I will be just fine without it and don't particularly care to use my limited free time or PTO to go do something I don't have to. Are you expecting me to get this shot TWICE just to help some faceless people? I will be getting the vaccine when I can, because I do understand the importance despite lack of personal fear of the virus. I imagine it will be relatively easy whenever that time may come, given that I live in the Twin Cities. There will probably be several vaccination sites that are convenient for me. What about those who don't live in a major metropolitan area? How do you effectively roll this out to rural America given the specialized storage and transportation needs of the vaccine? How do you convince those isolated people to get vaccinated? I really wish you'd think critically about the issues we face as a nation instead of just spewing s#!t everywhere.

The issue is letting transgender individuals participate as the gender they identify with, correct? I haven't followed closely and just want to clarify. I think it's a complete non-issue. There are going to be so very few willing to even try competing as women due to the magnified scrutiny of an already maligned identification, coaches/teams aren't going to accept them if the athlete isn't completely earnest in their endeavor, and I'd wager most don't make this transition until they are adults beyond any opportunity of athletic competitions. If someone bucks all of these, I say reward their bravery and let them compete.

I think part of the problem is how us Husker fans have had this conversation. I think we make it a binary thing where there are only two choices: 1. We do have really good downfield threats. 2. We don't have really good downfield threats. The more I watched Levi Falck play this season, the more I felt like he's a pretty dang good athlete. Same with Alante Brown. But I mean...those guys aren't Maurice Purify or Stanley Morgan, at all. Point is, part of the conversation is about how much of a threat our wideouts really are, because that also changes just how defenses scheme you on the line of scrimmage, etc., etc.

I should have added that the show is definitely designed to be mysterious. They are teasing a lot of things that won't be explained until later. I think everyone is supposed to be confused as to what is happening. So just a basic background should be plenty to get people going. It will be interesting to see if a lot of the Easter eggs from the comics end up having much to do with the actual plot or they are just throwing that stuff in there because they can.
