  2. Trump brought all of that on himself. When he proclaims to be the healthiest president ever and has a crackpot doctor write up a letter full of hyperbole, he’s gonna have to put up with questions about normal old guy stuff. Trump was a douchebag to a lot of people. I don’t blame people for taking jabs when they had the opportunity.

  6. Tired from having the incorrect data being constantly called out? That gif does seem appropriate. getting back to your original point. Rand is an ophthalmologist by trade not a dentist. He works on eyes and a dentist works on teeth. I understand that since both are on the head it can be a bit confusing. Trust me though, they are not the same. As far as the clip goes, Rand dismissed Tucker’s talk of oxygen levels ten seconds later.

  13. Current Medicare does not cover everything and by itself is underinsurance for many. You often need to buy Part D or supplemental insurance. The things Medicare doesn’t cover like Dentistry, Optical, routine podiatry, hearing aids have nothing to do with Covid and whether one survives or not How does Covid-19 know whether or not someone has health insurance? The numbers just don’t add up to the conclusion and “underinsured” is a very vague term. Anyone with Medicare would not be “underinsured” with respect to treating Covid-19. Hospital care is covered, and injection therapy would be covered, Antibiotic drugs are generic. 80% of the fatalities are aged 65 and older. The only way the numbers work out in the “paper” is if every person under aged 65 was uninsured or “vaguely underinsured” and a good portion of Medicare aged people chose to not sign up for Medicare or medi/medi plans.

  18. I'm not 100%, but I'm pretty sure QC/Analysts coaches were allowed to participate in practices last season as a special allowance for the Covid delays. If so, Alabama prob had what, a staff of 25?

  19. Can anyone explain why you wouldn't condemn a coup and subsequent military crackdown on protesters against that coup, which has resulted in the murder of hundreds if not thousands of citizens supporting the duly elected government? Unless of course you identify with that kind of action.

  20. I don't remember being the one saying a 3-4 year start is bad. I said the goal would be to have a player in the system for a couple years to learn the system and acclimate to college ball before they are relied on as the starter. Obviously, if you have an absolute stud that comes in and is ready before then and is the better player, fine, start him.

  21. Yes, transfers happen everywhere at the QB position. And, not every QB is willing to wait. I personally feel that's a bad decision for many. But, there are players who are willing to be in the system for a year or two before they start.

  22. I agree, but these 2 teams haven't been immune to having QB's hit the transfer portal, primarily because they have pushed the best QB forward regardless of class, even ahead of established starters. Re-watching Smothers HS film, he threw a nice ball, but didn't drive it when needed. Similiar to a Wuerfel minus the shot put throwing motion. It will be interesting to see how he's developed, if he throws outs, & across the middle w/more zip.

  23. I would not say our defense is a strength. 30 PPG is not good. I do agree it is better than our offense and special teams but those are not hard to beat. Describing the offense as a little shaky is being way too generous. The rest of what you say is what you would like to see but nothing pointing to positive signs with the staff

  24. It actually does help to realize that there are other blueblood programs with supposedly all the advantages we don't have, who fall into mediocrity or worse and take a while to climb out. Alabama, Clemson, and Oklahoma had long stints of irrelevance sandwiched between greatness. Ohio State is the only program I can think of that never got down for long in my lifetime. And if we're getting statistical about it, Nebraska's stretch from 2002 until 2017 wasn't that bad as troughs go. The last four seasons really are the first time we've hit bottom. Even the law of physics says we get better soon.

  25. I agree with you that the majority of those listed could rise back into upper-mid elite status. However, there are two that stick out like a sore thumb. One in particular with regards to recruiting hotbed. For all the parity we hear about in college football, isn't it amazing that year in and year out it's almost exactly the same teams in the playoffs? I'm just hopeful we can become more of a force in the West.

  26. I think it's ridiculous for the conference to dictate spring game attendance. In the mean time all the SEC and Big 12 schools will be making money by allowing the locally recommended restrictions. Our society has been told what to do for long enough and I'm frankly fed up. If people have concerns, they can stay home. Those that aren't concerned should be allowed to go.

  27. Yes, and we've played freshmen QBs too. So f#&%ing what?! Can we please ditch this idea that all football players should be ready to be starters the day they walk onto campus, and if they aren't, they're busts? That's tremendously unfair to the players! Believe it or not, player development is a thing that exists in college football! Some player is ready to start as a freshman? Great, good for him! But can we please acknowledge that it's still the exception and not the rule?

  28. Obviously the goal is to have your upper classman being the better QB after being in the system.

  29. I think Frost would say the same thing. 2AM started as a true freshman because we didn't have a QB room with guys that Frost felt could run his system. So, he brought in a highly recruited player to start. Now, if Smothers is the guy we want, eventually he won't be that 3 or 4 year starter and Frost will then want someone training behind him to take over when Smothers is gone.

  31. ^^ meh, since May of 2020 after 5 weeks + of total lockdown and not letting my kids do squat and totally buying into the 15 days to slow the spread starting March 15 or so...I said F it.. I gotta work and travel, gotta provide and at least try. But since May 22, 2020... I’ve been to Miami/Islamorada 5 times, New York 4 times, Nashville 6 times, Dallas twice, Iowa once, Ft Collins a dozen times, Charlotte once, Chicago once , Seattle twice, and LA once along with Orlando and Las Vegas once each. like 33 flights/segments to 11 different cities across less than a year. Spent over 68 days in several cities in less than a year. Which would’ve normally been 90-110 days in those cities. And I didn’t do Jack s#!t for like 40 days. I’m self employed and woulda lost my whole job and family income if I didn’t try. Very secluded in some parts and very partied and open in others. Always cautious, always obeyed the “rules” wherever I was at. I’ve been tested 6 times and always negative. this has been bulls#!t since the beginning. Let the parts that want to be open and actually live, do it. The rest can go f#&% themselves. let localities decide. We need to be open and easy to pack Memorial full tilt. (I know personally over 35 people that had Covid, 2 died {both were 70+ and had bad, real bad health} but everyone else younger than 70 were just fine).

  32. Would you have said this after AMart’s freshman season? I generally agree with you, but think you’re describing a best case scenario. However, with the Portal, I just don’t see too many young QBs wanting to spend two seasons of eligibility on the bench. It’s crazy to think that our next starter when AMart graduates could theoretically be on another team’s roster right now.

All because I smoked the dope at 17. Don't do drugs, kids! And... also, don't get older, don't get Covid, and don't sports yourself out in your 20s because you think your knees will never suffer for it.

  36. What I'm expecting off the top of my head, just to start off with. Completely undo all of the s#!tty environmental decisions Trump made. Completely undo all of the s#!tty "trade war" related decisions Trump made based on a complete misunderstanding of what a trade deficit is and what it means. Completely undo all of the s#!tty immigration decisions, with a priority on the ones that make it harder for smart people to come here. Those pissed me off the most because my area where I work is more than 50% born outside of America and they are helping an American company. These companies have to give preference to an American if both candidates are equal, which shows there aren't enough Americans to fill all of these spots. In a lot of my grad school classes it was about 20% Americans - in Nebraska. There is absolutely no reason to try to keep smart people out of the country. They are helping the U.S., not hurting it. I would argue the same for immigrants who do manual labor, too. There aren't enough Americans willing to do the jobs they're doing. Biden says he wants to add funding to the police, but for the funding to go toward mental health stuff, and I would imagine he also wants some oversight in departments shown to have problems. He can do the latter with EO like Biden did and Trump got rid of. It will be difficult and maybe impossible with the former, but he could try to work with the GOP Senate to add money to police departments if they agree to some of it being used for this. The problem is, even if the GOP wants it, they won't want Biden to look good. The same tactic they used with Obama. Stop the U.S. government's incompentance when it comes to Covid. Stop lying about numbers, treatments, vaccines. Give the experts the voice they deserve and stop arguing with them. This one should be easy. Fix all of the damage done to all of the departments. Try to get some of the experts back who left or were forced out. Since Biden isn't a complete moron I expect him to actually look at the decisions Trump made and allow any to stay that were actually good and non partisan. I don't expect there to be many of these, though. Unfortunately without the Senate, we are stuck with the stupid tax cuts Trump brought in, so I don't expect the economy to have a good recovery. Our revenue is going to be severely lacking. The Democrats really need to take the Senate in 2022.
