I think our recruiting rankings show we have better talent than the MR era which was inherited. We are going into the year young due to attrition. Guys who no longer wanted to live up to a higher standard on and off the field and guys who refused to stay and win a job outright. Some others just didn't have the talent and needed to go. Some may have lost faith in the system due to all the close losses. No, I do not think this is a perpetual point of argument but it is now. SF had a monumental rebuild when he came because of the failures of the past coaches and administrations. Even so, I do find fault in SF. He needs to change his offense to suit the Big 10. We must have a power running game to win. Period! I am confident that will happen.

The question is where do we draw the line? ESPECIALLY when it comes to law enforcement. Is this dude racist? Dunno. Not making a call. But has he done some really questionable things? YUP. I just watched the video in the Tweet. It was very poorly paraphrased, but the spokesman was pretty clear that he was relaying what the shooter had told investigators. Kinda pointless at this juncture, imo. But this briefing answer has nothing to do with his FB post about a t-shirt. Isn't it possible that he did nothing wrong in the briefing, BUT did have a questionable history on social media? Granted, I haven't spent a lot of time in this thread. But it seems like there is more outrage about this cop being racist against Asians than the guy who shot them...

What surprised me the most was that anyone responded. I mean correct me if I’m wrong but didn’t all players get a free year of eligibility last season? That alone would seem to make us (and every team) 25% younger than the average year. Add in higher than normal attrition the first 2 years due to trying to change/flip the roster and you pretty naturally get a younger less experienced roster. That’s no excuse for the lack of growth and performance so far but it is what it is.

I've tried to avoid addressing the "I'm too wealthy" humblebrag inherent in the gripe, but this is true.

With the tug-o-war improvements I've seen this year I expect at least 3 or 4 extra wins. Once we improve our American Gladiators pedestal joust technique I expect to see conference titles. Competing for national titles won't come until we're excelling at the elementary school field day obstacle course.

This is so beautiful, especially because of how many options exist off of it. There are three reads here: 1. Thor reads Mayen coming down for the dribble hand off. He has to determine if the man guarding Mayen can get there and/or if his own defender will hedge and ultimately trap him if he gets the ball. Thor then immediately clears out after denying the hand off and passing to Andre 2. Andre doesn’t give to Thor after he clears out, this may be a dummy action but we probably have a counter somewhere off it where Thor takes it and uses Andre as a screener if his man overplays it and shoots under the screen for a quick 3 3. Hard dribble at Mayen by Andre and then beautiful denial and back cut by Mayen. Just a RIDICULOUS pass for a Center to throw but Andre leads him perfectly for the easy bucket. It’s just gorgeous.
