Have you watched any football over the last 20 years?? Eric Crouch in 1999, 2000, and 20001 Tim Tebow in 2008 & 2009 Michael Vick 1999 & 2000 Vince Young 2005 Braxton Miller 2012 & 2013 JT Barrett 2014, 2015, 2016, and 2017 I can keep going as there are a lot more examples... the above list of QBs averaged over 10 carries per game in each of the years listed above. A QB who can run is a game changer and absolutely gives teams an edge.9 points

It's not that I want Neo-Cons back in charge. I don't want to get into endless budget breaking wars. The issue is she is being ousted for not being loyal to a figure head, not conservative ideals. And that's the danger in it all.7 points

I think you're underestimating how good a 34.5 inch vertical for an OL is. Only one OL in the combine out jumped him and he tied Alex Leatherwood who was drafted 17th overall. He out jumped Travis Etienne, RB from Clemson, 1st round pick, by a full inch. He out jumped multiple WRs, LBs, OL, DL, RBs, and Safeties who went in the first 3 rounds. Cam is a freak of an athlete and that jump doesn't discount the athletes we have at other positions at all.6 points

well, let’s hope our 5-6th guys that stuck around and see how they can help us win games by experience, playing time, and age being 21-23 yrs old v the 18-21 yr olds with limited experience on other teams. they came back for reason, I think they know they’re close to being pretty salty as Blackshirts and helping the Cornhuskers as a team get their goals and wins. I’m ready to see this “free” year play out and see how good we can be on D6 points

Related tweet. This is what the party has come to. For all of the GOP angst at the election of "The Tribe" by Dems few years back, the GOP has proven to be more than equal in electing far right radicals. At least I don't fear the Tribe of trying to destroy our country. The Tribe didn't ignite an insurrection but these on the radical right want to believe a lie about the election and support those who attacked our capital. Cawthorn is an example of a low political IQ, low history IQ politician who slithers into congress by preying on the voter's deepest fears and wild imaginations - fears and imaginations that Trump & the far right have planted in voter's minds through their multiple self serving lies.5 points

Trump has an influence for sure in the party, Gaetz and Greene do not which you know. They have influence with a subset of voters. You would most likely be happy I guess going back to days of nation building and war mongering since that’s who you want back in charge.5 points

OWN THE LIBS is their entire party platform. They can't even condemn a riot that killed cops because Trump incited it. Think about that, the people the fly f#&%ing "Blue Live's Matter" flags, condone the killing of cops if Trump is the one behind it. There is no value or respect in that. Cheney knows it, so she decided to step on to the right side of history. How hard is it to say, "I like a lot of Trump's policies, but lies and riot he incited that killed our police, is inexcusable". If the shoe was on the other foot, and Hilary incited riots that ended in officers getting killed, prior to Trump's inauguration - Tucker Carlsons head would have exploded and the party leadership on the right would be spending every waking minute talking about it, and trying to get everyone with a D next to their name who agreed with it, kicked out of politics AND THEY WOULD CORRECT TO DO THAT.4 points

Cam is an incredible athlete. One of the few Centers Ive seen who can pull effectively and make second level blocks. Dang son, clean up the snaps and you can be a freaky weapon at Center. We all have been frustrated with his snaps. However this is why Frost has stuck with him through the problems.4 points

Exactly! Getting 290lbs to move almost a full 3 feet off the ground is damn impressive, and it has nothing to do with anyone else on the team. It's a standalone own accomplishment.4 points

All this can end if god would just show up in a burning bush and declare who owns the land. My guess is on the buddhists since they have never killed anyone over nonsense. Thats who I would choose if Im god.4 points

I don't care about QBs running, that will never win the conference and will just end up with injuries. Scrambles and 3 or 4 change of pace draws to slides a game I can handle. But if we run any QB 10+ times a game any more that is not a sustainable winning scenario in my opinion. RBs should be taking the bulk of carries and I want the QB upright making throws.4 points

The one that ranked 102 out of 128 in scoring. He didn't say anything dumb, just had a different take on it. As @Guy Chamberlin alluded to. This team needs a passing QB who can run more than a running QB who can pass.3 points

Yep, me too. But I won’t believe it until I see it. My guess is, if a new party does actually take hold, it will only be about 5 minutes until it also doesn’t represent anything I want to associate with. Politics seems to be highly efficient in that regard.3 points

If the offense improves, the defense will automatically improve. They won't be on the field as much, give our better players more rest, and the opponent will become more predictable in their schemes. I'm not saying the defense hasn't improved, but if the offense can be somewhat better, we will see an even better defense.3 points

I'll admit I remain ignorant of the New York Times retraction, and what exactly it negates about the larger story being reported everywhere, but seeing you desperately clinging to it while pretending not to be following the Arizona Recount Circus, is pure you. I'm pretty sure my facts can beat up your facts.3 points

Do you know it's not 1995? Ohio State is your example recently? As well as some of the best players to ever play college football. If we had OSUs tslent and a Heisman caliber QB I might agree. It's much easier for a QB to rush and not get beat up if the rest of the offense is actually a threat. We've already proven recently what rushing the QB too much at Nebraska in 2021 does fellas, it gets our QB hurt and doesn't give us a better chance of winning.3 points

This is an important thread to read. It's rather chilling to think that something nafarious was going on and that the protection of the Capitol was delayed for so long. Why was it delayed? We were certifying a peaceful transfer of power and an insurrection was along to continue. Some say it was a peaceful protest and nothing to worry about despite what everyone witnessed. And yet the military was concerned enough that they sent security forces to protect the homes of defense leaders two hours before attempting to address the insurrection going on at the Capitol. The problem is that no matter what, there will always be low wage workers no matter their skill set. The idea I'm pushing back on is when you say that they should teach themselves a skill: it doesn't matter, the number of openings for higher wages is limited. And as such they are less likely to have health insurance, retirement, etc. There is no amount of bootstrapping that millions of people can do to better their situation. Society ends up paying for those costs anyway. We might as well try to structure employment so an employee can at least live.3 points

I want to add to this. You're exactly right and for this defense to thrive the way Chins wants it, they need the opportunity to take chances. It's hard to do that when your offense sucks.2 points

The problem is that Nebraska tends to entice dual threat high school quarterbacks with the promise that they can keep playing QB at Nebraska when other Power 5 programs want to convert them to other positions. That particular pool of talent tends to land us kids who are better runners than they are passers (Christian McCaffrey) and in today's NCAA you really need to flip that around (great passers who can run), or go with a straight up passing QB. QB prospects looking for a path to the NFL don't consider Nebraska, and although we get some really entertaining playground ballers like Tommy Armstrong and the two Martinez's, they sometimes lack the discipline of the guys who know how to plant their feet, run their progressions, and kill a play rather than force a turnover.2 points

This is completely asinine. QB run is often a tool less talented teams can leverage over teams with a talent advantage, which is why every service academy runs the flexbone and K-State manages to win seven games every year, and it "won conference titles" in the past and still is now. It was also the thing our offense was best at last year. You don't want it to be your main thing because you don't want your quarterback to take that many hits, but it has been a very important part of every successful offense SF has been involved with and will be a big part of any success we have. Just admit you said something dumb and stop digging the hole deeper.2 points

She didn’t get voted out of the party. You must be misinformed. She got voted out of a leadership position. Those two people living rent free in your head are not in leadership either. you don’t belong to the party anymore so what difference does it make to you anyways? I could careless about who is or isn’t in the Democrat leadership positions.2 points

I probably already answered the OP but I'll answer it again. The Republican party will either take over and turn our government into an authoritarian fake democracy like Russia, or they will fade away into obsolescence. I can't picture any other path right now. They're letting the nutjobs take over. Those nutjobs aren't interested in democracy, so if they manage through gerrymandering and voter suppression to take control, they're going to try to hold onto it. The thing that would make it even worse than Russia is they have shown that they have no issue with having a complete moron in charge. Putin is an a$$h@!e but he's not stupid. Although if you don't live in Moscow there probably isn't much difference because you're poor and not benefiting from him not being an idiot.2 points

So, you still support Trump's influence over the party. And, it's clear the party supports Gaetz and Greene and it's because they support Trump. It's pretty pathetic when Liz gets voted out and these two idiots are supported.2 points
