Honestly Husker fans, this is the best endorsement of the year. In the first full year of the Bolt era we made Arkansas fans so uncomfortable they are coming to our board to b!^@h about it, minutes after they beat us. Here's to many more years of us making you very uncomfortable Hawgs, Let's do it in Omaha next time.7 points

Ehh, don't be man. Just enjoy the ride. If NU wins, it's a total bonus. If NU loses, it was supposed to happen and NU got screwed by being put in Arkansas's region.5 points

I just checked the WX models and, while I can't rule out a shower or two, it appears that Fayetteville will be NW of the more widespread and heavy rains that are predicted for central and southern Arkansas through Tuesday. Also, there are no Supercell parameters anywhere around Fayetteville, so hopefully lightning will not be a big concern either. Just glad that Fayetteville is in the extreme NW corner of the state. These two sentences completely contradict each other.5 points

Eff arky. Bunch a trash hillbillies. Great season boys you deserve better from your league and NCAA. Definitely got hose and hate how umps have control over a game like that definitely need to take the human error out of the strike and ball zones. And yes I’ve played ball and was an ump for a couple years and hated it4 points

Not sure if this announcer will be able to continue tonight if Opitz doesn't get a hit soon. My god the kid is a really good catcher, but unlock your jaw and release the kids twig and berries4 points

Honestly, who cares. It seems to me you a nitpicking Erstad. Get over it. Coach Erstad gave more to this program then any coach before or after him ever will. Donations, sweat, loyalty, time.... He left the cupboard full, with a unified, tradition rich, scrappy group of young men. Young men that want to leave this program on a high note. Bolt doesn't have this success without Darin's hard work and support. Just stop trying to belittle what Darin Erstad, a humble, hard working, dedicated father and incredible supporter of Nebraska, did for this program. Darin's accolades will long out last your petty comparisons. Enjoy the moment to its fullest. Be thankful of Darin's efforts and appreciate the play of this group. After all, they've earned it4 points

Look, I'm in love with this team as much as anyone...but we've made the CWS before. We've won at the CWS before. Let's keep this in perspective while we still celebrate it, can we?4 points

The 3 times NU made a CWS, including a win in the 2005 CWS.4 points

Three former Huskers - Jordan Larson, Kelsey Robinson and Justine Wong-Orontes, have made the 12-woman Tokyo roster. 25% of the team are former Huskers. Not bad.3 points

For those not watching the game Bunz comes in with 2 out and 2 balls 1 strike He grooves 2 strikes right down the middle- BOTH CALLED BALLS. We were OUT OF THE INNING THERE. I WANT ROBO UNPIRES_ what a farce.3 points

Oh for sure. No argument about the future of the program. If we can keep Bolt around Husker baseball has the sky as the limit. I just feel bad for this team. They got a raw deal in so many ways by so many different forces out of their control and they just said f#&% it and went down fighting their hearts out.3 points

U.S. Olympic roster Outside hitter: Jordan Larson (Nebraska), Michelle Bartsch-Hackley (Illinois), Kim Hill (Pepperdine), Kelsey Robinson (Nebraska). Opposite hitter: Annie Drews (Purdue), Jordan Thompson (Cincinnati). Middle blocker: Foluke Akinradewo Gunderson (Stanford), Haleigh Washington (Penn State), Chiaka Ogbogu (Texas). Setter: Micha Hancock (Penn State), Jordyn Poulter (Illinois). Libero: Justine Wong-Orantes (Nebraska). Alternate players: Kathryn Plummer (Stanford), Tori Dixon (Minnesota), Lauren Carlini (Wisconsin), Hannah Tapp (Minnesota), Sarah Wilhite Parsons (Minnesota), Megan Courtney (Penn State). Here's the full roster. Not only are 25% of the Olympic team Huskers, eight (66%) are from the Big Ten. There are six alternates, five of whom are from the Big Ten. That means of the 18 players on the roster and alternate list, 13 are from the Big Ten, nearly 75%. It's no wonder this is such a tough conference to win.3 points

There's a reason they fall for this stuff so easily and it's for the same reason they're Trumpists.3 points

If there is one thing we learned from this regional, it's that the NCAA did both Nebraska and Arkansas dirty. I was browsing an Arkansas message board to see what their vibe was after this one - and one guy goes "Other 1 seed's got Central Michigan, Fairfield, Campbell, Liberty in their regional championships and we got Nebraska"3 points

If it wasn’t for Mr Baseball pitching tonight, we likely win IMO. Huskers should feel good about where they are as a program. Give Bolt an extension and a raise. The trajectory definitely is up for the skers.2 points

Shrinking the zone in the 8th is a neat trick. Love this team. They got hosed. And they still hung in like champs. They deserved better. But they never backed down and they're all heart. GBR!2 points

Just found the wal-mart reference in this ironic when talking about Arkansas lol I can see why WPS would be annoying to other fans. It's better at football games, pretty cringe in a group of only like 10 people. The Mississippi State cowbells get under my skin and I've always found the Kansas Rock Chalk Jayhawk chant to be creepy as well. Younger fans today keep adding a wolf howl to the beginning of the Hog Call which pisses off the traditionalists. First-world problems!2 points

Expected to take an OV to NU in October. That article had a lot of really really good updates. I think we’re sitting well here.2 points

I don't think anyone is slamming Erstad here. He deserves a lot of credit for this team by bringing in the upperclassmen on this team. But, many of those players have said that they have improved by Bolt changing some of their attitudes and approach at the plate/in the field. Jaxon Hallmark has said that he thought he was a power hitter, and Bolt got him to buy-in to hitting for more contact and using his speed. That has led to him being All-Big Ten this year. Roskam has benefitted by Bolt telling him to stop being a dead-pull hitter, and hit to all fields (which has improved his power numbers).2 points

I noticed an amazing thing by Bolt during last night's game against Arkansas. It was the top of the 9th, NU clinging to a 2-run lead, and Schwellenbach was running on fumes. ESPN showed Bolt in the dugout, and he was standing there, and looked as calm as he could be. His demeanor in the dugout has to be a positive for the team. From Erstad's playing career, that guy was a ball of fire and energy and showed that on the field. I wonder if he showed too much of that emotion during the games, and that wore off on his players. I know that when I was coaching youth baseball, I would get too up and down on each pitch & at-bat. Looking back at it, it probably wasn't good for me or for the kids to get too up and down.2 points

Arkansas hasn't lost back-to-back games since March 19. Seems like they're due for a losing streak.2 points

So there's a potential for thunderstorms tonight. I would really prefer to play them tonight and not let them get another day of rest. Also last time we beat #1 was in 2014 against Oregon State 9-2.2 points
