Omg...you all need to chill. I have been pretty critical of Scott as some of the things that have happened since he took over have left me scratching my head. Irregardless, the guy inherited a program that need a complete overhaul top to bottom. Think about that for a second.....that's a tuff ask. Maybe 3 or 4 guys in the county coach wise could come in and turn a turd into a champion in 3 years, 1 of those being a COVID year and 1 of then apparently ain't SF (at least at Nebraska). That being said, I've also stated if we really wanted a quick fix we needed to give saben, Myer or Bob stoops a blank check and get the F out of the way. We obviously won't do that so you should prolly face the fact that we need to play the long game, deal with the fact it takes time to bring a washed up program back from the dead. I believe Scott can get us back to competing for conference titles and being nationality relevant, but it may not happen in 3..5...maybe even 7 years. Just deal with it. At least Scott actually gives a $h!t about Nebraska, and if he gets canned, we are probably just going to hire some Bum so we may as well sink or swim with 1 of our own. No program with a revolving door of coaches is generally any good. Scott seems to be adjusting; you can tell by his recruiting. He's going for big strong guys vs small, quick and shifty like before. IDK, we should all just take it down a notch and give the man some time. Just sayin8 points

Stop blaming Mike Riley for the failures of Frost. Frost is failing at many levels on his own, regardless of the previous staff. It's a scapegoat we need to stop using.5 points

I'm feeling even more sure of this about Moos being urged to deliver or can Frost. He was paid three million dollars to leave. Why would we need to pay a guy to leave unless it was because he would not do as he said he should do? What was Moos not doing that was needed: Give SF an ultimatum.. with it in mind that we're now stuck being the laughing stock of the conference and not just a program that needs to be righted as a floundering ship. Scott Frost's fate under the new AD will very likely be that ultimatum, plain and simple. The only way he could survive an incoming AD would be to have a spectacular season; six wins won't do it in the 4th year. We've been turning over ADs and HCs for twenty years plus now. Is this just another stab in the dark (ushering Moos out)? I don't think so; I think it's a plan after a LOT of meetings.5 points

Maybe at some point, guys like you will have a sudden realization that Frost hasn't really even been running his offense most of the time he's been here...4 points

Unless Frost has a sudden realization that his offense will not work in the Big, and goes back to what made NU dominate for 42 years, he will continue to struggle with wins. "Run the damned ball has some meaning." (And, not just the QB).4 points

Guys, it doesn't take 4 years to get to .500. Nebraska fans are so over infatuated with Frost - it just absolutely has to be him that wins - and this thinking needs to stop. His recruiting is mediocre, whether they're big tall players or not. We're not competing with big time programs on the recruiting trail. Let alone on the field, where Frost is failing miserably. I don't know about you, but it doesn't take years to *check notes* not get blown out by Illinois or develop a single serviceable running back recruited out of high school. His failures as a coach, recruiter and leader of the program are stacking up. It's okay to admit this, there are other coaches and other philosophies that might work. Just stop with the all or nothing with Frost.3 points

His offense will work in the B1G. Adjusting the personnel and tweaking the system is better than an identity change. Big year coming up. Hope it is a good sign for the WR room that captain and starter Kade Warner probably doesn’t see much fame time this year. The WR and RBs were deficient last year for any offense.3 points

I don't think it really matters, and Frost knows it as well as anyone. He knows he has to win, and preferably win big, this year or recruiting tanks and any momentum is lost. He either gets or done in 21 or he won't get it done at Nebraska because he won't be able to sell 4 straight losing seasons to anyone. He knows this, no ultimatum needed no matter the AD. We all know this.3 points

Just to be clear, scientists adjusted their advice and public statements as more evidence emerged in the unprecedented global event. They also admitted what they don't know. They remain vastly more trustworthy than the people trying to undermine them.3 points

I think we make some serious noise this year. This team has been through so much, I can't stand watching them struggle. I have said this before and I will say it again, what Riley did to this program was criminal. I could not believe what I was watching on the field.3 points

Something I think a lot of people don't really grasp: Frost took over a MUCH better situation at UCF than he did at Nebraska. Things went totally off the rails in George O'Leary's winless final season at UCF, but that was still a team just two years removed from a Fiesta Bowl win and a top 10 finish. O'Leary built a pretty solid team, they just needed a little help getting back to where they should've been. A lot of people only looked at that winless year (and not the years that preceded it) and thought Frost could pull off that kind of turnaround anywhere. Unfortunately, well, Mike Riley was a coach who never came anywhere near O'Leary's career achievements, and certainly not at Nebraska...2 points

It would be interesting to know how the timing played into this. Originally he said he wasn't going to commit until after his season. I think we really liked him but that's a pretty tough spot to put all our eggs in one basket at a position where you might only take one guy. Maybe we were fine with either. But it would kind of stink if we liked Williams better but didn't think we could afford to wait. And then he doesn't either.2 points

@BigRedNYour word choice and punctuation make your talking points rather difficult to understand. Woods, Jackson and the Bell West players did rule Nebraska out pretty early on. Had Nebraska been a serious consideration, they would have made the top 5-10 lists for these kids and taken some visits this spring/summer. I'm not knocking the kids, go to college where they want, but I'm not sure what more the staff could have done (besides winning) to catch the attention of the four metro players in question. I hope for the best for each of the players and really hope they get their degrees.2 points

Hey buddy. We’ve been getting Godfathers from gas stations almost exclusively for a year. But I sort of classify Vals and Godfathers in a different category than “pizza”. Around here if we want “pizza” we’re getting it from Roma’s, Fonta’s or Santeramo’s. However, if we want a taste of home, then it’s Godfathers or Vals.2 points

Dr. Fauci's early pandemic statement on masks is used by conservatives to gaslight COVID in the same way they use "Abraham Lincoln was a Republican" to pretend they're not the racist party.2 points

Not stressing here. I was done with him once he blamed Nebraska fans as a reason he eliminated the Huskers. I get being turned off by a losing record on the field or wanting to experience something else but acting like we were the reason when it was clearly something else (ASU) was lame as hell.2 points

I see. It's not that your party doesn't deny climate change, doesn't race bait voters or isn't undermining Democracy to gain small electoral advantages. Because all that is true. Oh, I've always wanted to ask. How many Americans do you think died because the guy you supported decided to politicize mask wearing? 1? 10? 100? 1,000? 10,000? Being stupid and all, I'm not sure. So I wanted to ask somebody like you who might know!2 points

It is. Some booster owns a car dealership- they can pay a player appearance fees or for digital promotion. LOTS of ways. The junk these kids are selling- why cant a booster buy 1000 Tshirts- or whatever? So simple to funnel these kids money legally now.1 point

@lo country Source (with pictures) https://www.seriouseats.com/easy-pull-apart-pepperoni-garlic-bread-recipe Easy Pull-Apart Pepperoni Garlic Knots 2 tablespoons unsalted butter 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil, plus more for drizzling 4 ounces pepperoni, cut into 1/4-inch squares Pinch red pepper flakes 6 medium cloves garlic, minced (about 2 tablespoons) 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley leaves 2 tablespoons minced fresh chives (optional) 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese, plus more for sprinkling Flour for dusting 1 pound homemade or store-bought pizza dough (see note) 1/4 cup grated Pecorino Romano cheese Homemade or store-bought pizza sauce for serving Heat butter and oil in a 10-inch cast iron skillet over medium heat until butter melts and foaming subsides. Add pepperoni and cook, stirring, until pepperoni begins to crisp, about 2 minutes. Add pepper flakes and garlic and cook, stirring, until fragrant, about 1 minute. Add parsley and chives and stir to combine. Transfer mixture to a large bowl and stir in Parmesan cheese. Do not wipe out skillet. On a lightly floured surface, divide dough into two even pieces. Working one piece at a time, roll or stretch into an oblong about 8 inches long and 4 inches wide. With a bench scraper or knife, cut crosswise into 12 strips. Repeat with other half of dough. Tie each strip into a knot and transfer to bowl with pepperoni/garlic mixture. Toss and fold with your hands until every knot is thoroughly coated in mixture. Transfer the knots to the skillet in a single layer. Drizzle with more olive oil, cover tightly with plastic, and set aside until doubled in size, about 4 hours. Alternatively, refrigerate until doubled in size, 12 to 16 hours. When ready to bake, preheat oven to 425°F and adjust oven rack to center position. Unwrap garlic knots. Sprinkle with Romano cheese. Transfer to oven and bake until golden brown and crisp, 25 to 30 minutes. Remove from oven and immediately brush with more extra-virgin olive oil and sprinkle lightly with more Parmesan. Serve right away with warmed sauce on the side.1 point

Haha, you're quoting a Wikipedia page. And the page is making the same mistake as previous posts - who watches which networks is not the same as whether a given network is left or right wing. It also makes the bad assumption that each political party is the equivalent of being left=Dems and right=GOP.1 point

HAHAHAHAHA I don't remember Trump saying "climate change is real, caused by humans, but the amount and outcomes are in question". I do remember him saying "climate change is a hoax by China" and appointing a former coal lobbyist to head the EPA. It's well known that Fauci made that comment so masks would go the way of toilet paper and be panic bought. The danger in nurses and doctors not having enough supply was very real. And the sad thing is... you know this. But accepting this means that the guy you supported, and how he politicized mask wearing, led to the deaths of thousands of Americans. As for race baiting, I'll admit that Democrats play it up when they can. But the leader of your party couldn't disavow white Supremecy on National TV. Democrats are annoying, but your party and those you support are a complete joke. You are a smart guy, but it's entertaining to see you twist and try and make sense of the positions of Trump. It's why I like poking your buttons so much.1 point

Go ahead and name a few top recruits this cycle who think we have things headed in the right direction. Kids who feel so strongly that Frost has things headed in the right direction that they have committed? What I mean is competitive P5 schools have offered them also. Not bottom feeder P5 schools. But the types of schools we want to look at as our peer.1 point
