  1. These guys just refuse to learn it will be the same s#!t until Frost is canned. Guy is too stubborn. Besides the penalties/turnovers he is perhaps one of the worst personnel coaches in power five ball.

  3. Thank you for being sensible. I feel much the same way. It’s completely shameful that this thing got politicized by design. When Trump’s administration was working towards the vaccine it was hell no we don’t trust this and we will not submit from VP Harris and more. I’m glad the vaccines came out but why now can’t they be questioned and let people decide based on their personal situation. Let science happen. We now know Covid is not deadly to certain segments of the population, those that had it have a strong natural immunity, and there are other therapeutics to help prevent and treat it. Yet we have conflicting mis-information from Biden’s administration and a mandate that you must get injected with an experimental vaccine that studies show is not even as effective at stopping transmission as initially hoped. Further any discussion about legitimate adverse reactions or questions on the vaccine or other remedies are often censored. WTF? Just a few months ago these same people said don’t trust Trump’s vaccine? I thought Trump was the tyrant? If so why is Biden the one forcing experimental injections on people (which have harmed some people) and also threatening their jobs and businesses to comply. It was Biden who said we’ll come knock on your door! Who’s the tyrant? Say it loudly…F Joe Biden.

  4. Sir, you completely missed the point. I never said I didn't care, homes. PS. I have my card. It's on my fridge. I got vaccinated in Feb. For the record, I love all my brothers and sisters, my fam, my community. I tell them to consider getting vaccinated. And some have. But if they don't, I understand that it's a personal choice, for personal reasons and it's their body. I will not shame them, force them, fight them, yell at them if they choose not to. Neither should you or anybody else. They all wear face coverings, wash their hands, sanitize. Many of them had covid last year, and so did I. But I still got I vaxxed. I got covid again 2 months after the shots. And I still wear a mask. I had a lot to consider and think about before choosing to be vaccinated, because I had cancer removed 3 years ago. So don't give me your s#!t. And I don't care for your rudeness and hateful attitude.

  5. not exactly the same mistakes no. But I lump special teams gaffes into the same category. Our offensive line play is full of mistakes, whether that is improper pad level/leverage. Missing receivers, RB taking the wrong hole etc. Granted this was the majority of the first half and not as much as the game went on. Was that because we cleaned it up or was that because Fordham had no depth and we simply began to walk over them as any P5 school should at that point? We consistently make things look hard instead of easy. This isnt just a Frost thing but has been something that has gone on for quite awhile now.

  6. Yeah, I think we can call 3 punt return blunders by the same guy the same problem. Every punt is a different situation but one guy messing it up by making bad decisions is the same problem. If it happens again it’s not CTB’s fault, it’s the coaches fault for not making a change. Surely this team has another guy that can field punts without channeling the keystone cops.

  7. Tomorrow will be AM completing like 65% of his passes for 270 yards and a TD, rushing for 90 yards and a TD, probably with one turnover...if the Huskers win, not much will be said about another 350 yard performance...if they lose...get your crosses out because he will be crucified.

  8. The age of 90,000+ seat CFB stadiums should be over. I think 60,000 - 80,000 is the sweet spot for large colleges. When every game is on TV, and, everyone has 65" 4K TVs - colleges need to prioritize fan experience at the stadiums.

  9. If people like you were in charge we’d still have small pox, measles, mumps, rubella, tetanus, diptheria, pertussis, polio, etc. THANK GOD people like you arent in charge. Thank you science for saving us from people like admo who dont give a damn what diseases are floating around. p.s get vaccinated

  10. I totally believe you and appreciate your reasoning — for both yourself and your friends who struggle with and so far have declined vaccination. That still leave me vexed by the millions of people who have decided this choice -- a COVID vaccine -- is different from the many vaccines they've taken throughout their lives, and dutifully gotten for their own kids. Some of those vaccines were also mandatory for education and employment. Some just common sense and largely unquestioned. The worst public health crisis in our lifetimes is an odd time to take a new and contradictory stand. With all due respect to personal freedom, this one just asks that if you want to go out in public, you need to respect that there's a public health crisis going on, and whether kindly folk or not, the unvaccinated are creating huge problems for the people who made a different choice.

  12. Yeah, the Illinois gaffe was obviously just thinking he could make a huge play and wanting to justify being put out there as PR1. Just plain old bad judgement in the heat of the moment. Then he slipped and compounded the situation. I really have a hard time faulting him for the Fordham muff. That ball just took a really odd bounce and it was just reaction to reach for it when it's whizzing past your head. If he would have let it go and it would have rolled 20 more yards downfield people would have been all over him for that as well.

  13. I don't think we really made any of the same mistakes. People get frustrated - which is understandable - and all of the sudden everything is "the same mistakes." No, there were mistakes but they're all different. People complained after Illinois that it's "the same special teams mistakes that we've seen for years". No, it wasn't. Our All-B1G kicker didn't miss any PATs last year. We haven't had a punt returner field the ball going into the end zone then try to throw it back out. We didn't see any of that against Fordham. It was a punt return mistake but it was a completely different situation. There are still things to be worried about. But only if you are painting with the broadest of brushes are the "the same mistakes."

  14. Honestly wouldn't be shocked with a loss. Not calling for one, just wouldn't be shocked. I will be driving on I-90 through Buffalo during the game. I will yell at people driving through town.

  16. NFL stadiums do a much better job of making a better fan experience than college though. Premium seating, craft beer, decent food, easy access to restrooms. If I could get a fairy nectar draft and a seat back chair at memorial - I'd probably going to a hell of a lot more games.

  17. The democratic left doesn't believe the choice of ending a pregnancy is a public heath crisis. The democratic left and the republican right both agree that COVID is a public health crisis. It kind of frustrates me that the republican right doesn't want to mandate vaccines to help end a crisis, but they are for mandating pregnancy to birth to stop what they view as a public crisis. Your statement does paint one group as intellectually dishonest, but I don't think it is the side that you intended.

  19. I’m maybe not the most experienced person on tailgating but the quite a few times I’ve been in those areas I wouldn’t have guessed there were any rules at all. Cans, bottles, cups…whatever, and nobody trying to hide anything. My guess is, if you’re not being a jerk, you can probably do about whatever you want.

  20. Eh, not me. He let a punt bounce off his numbers in the second half against Iowa last year that they recovered. You can only give the other team the ball back so many times on punts before it's just flat out ridiculous to keep trotting that same player back out there that's making mistake after mistake. And I'll even double down: Frost will never have a team that contends for even just the West title if he doesn't get issues like this squarely turned around.

  23. No idea who Elder is at all but that video shows me two things. The lady should be in prison and/or beaten and so should the old dude that attacked the other old dude. That is it, period. If the Elder dude is a racist, he should be beaten as well. None of this is difficult.

  26. I haven't heard a ton of Larry Elder's work, but out of the few interviews I have listened to, I don't remember him saying anything racist. Sure he has a differing opinion on the struggles of blacks in this country, a very reasonable opinion from what I've listened to, but racist?

  27. I'm not anti-vaccine at all, and I don't have over 100 employees, but there are a lot of business owners in this country who do, and Joe's getting ready to find out that a lot of them don't give a s#!t what he thinks they should do with their businesses.

    2 points
  30. Yep. We’ve been well conditioned to expect things to go south. It doesn’t help that Buffalo is likely as good or better than 2 or 3 teams in the B1G West. Besides Fordham and Bethune, I can’t say there are any teams we can count on beating yet.

  31. The problem with games like this at this stage in Frost's tenure is if we win, meh, we did what we were supposed to do. If we lose, burn the whole thing down. And it's not that crazy to think Nebraska might find a way to lose this one.

  32. I do agree that we were surprisingly effective on a couple of those 2nd/3rd & longs. This is now an aside, Mav, and doesn't have much to do with my original post you had quoted: This play was on drive #3. I can't see all of the other plays in this drive that got us to their 49. But, talk about a freaking awesome play call and execution on first down here: Then just a couple plays later, Stepp gets the fortune of better blocking that we've talked about Ervin not getting as much of. Crazy there.

  35. Agreed. Nelson, Payne, and Tannor are all listed as 6'3". Your true effective edge rushers tend to be more in that 6'5" range; both height and wingspan are a big deal. The only way you can really take a 6'3" guy and have him take on the average offensive tackle in the B1G is if he is a legitimate freak athlete IMO. Someone will probably chime in with shorter guys who are effective pass rushers on other teams or in the NFL - but again I said "legitimate freak athlete."

  36. If I zoom out I feel like this is what I see: -Banker and then Diaco completely lost any sense of being able to stop the run -Chinander comes in with his vision of a dynamic 3-4 -Everybody on the D line got beefed up big time in the weight room/training table -By 2020 we had turned around Riley's crap run defense But the one problem that still sticks out like a sore thumb is that we don't have a true edge rusher. I love Nelson, but I don't think he'll ever be effective in this role. What you really want is the lankier, athletic body type that you can then add weight to as needed - like the Grant Wistrom body type. Chinander just hasn't landed that guy.

  41. She dressed up in a monkey suit to protest a black man. Would she have done that if he was white? If someone did that to Corey Booker they would probably be arrested for a hate crime. If she wanted to protest his policies and beliefs, waving a sign or banner and stating what she thinks would suffice. Why bring the color of his skin into the protest? It’s a double standard, based on political beliefs.

  43. Not surprising at all. When was the last time a Nebraska HS kid made a significant impact as a "skill position" player for a P5 school? And no,TE is not a skill position. I honestly can't remember. Eric Crouch? IMO, they tend to be overrated because they shine among much less talented competition. I'm not trying to knock NE HS football, but NE is a state that produces lineman, LB's, TE's and the occasional QB or WR.
