  3. There are a lot of assumptions in this thread that all of a sudden become fact in people’s minds.

  5. Everyone relax, I just was just talking to my terrarium guy and he was over at Scott's place switching out the succulents. He saw him facetiming Joe Brady. Needless to say, Frost was drunk, crying, and screaming "A BLANK CHECK, JOE". My guy says Scott gets this way when he drinks gin, but Brady seemed interested.

  6. And yet his offense wasn’t an option offense as a base offense.

  7. If we don't hear something today, that tells me that Sipple & Co.were full of baloney with their "stay up late" spiel.

  8. I mean ... they weren't been able to visit ANYWHERE for nearly a year and a half. And all the top 2022 guys in the Metro made it clear they weren't interested. So I can see how the perception might be they haven't been around much. But that definitely wasn't the case prior to COVID. And I doubt it will be the case going forward. As far as "few", that's not really accurate. Stenger this year. Prochazka, Bretz and Rollins last year. Betts in 2020. Henrich and Hickman in 2019, who were not at all interested prior to Frost getting here. Most of the guys they missed on weren't for lack of trying. Woods, Jackson and Ducker were all pretty set on leaving the area. Helms got recruited by Oklahoma. They worked on Dickerson hard but he wanted to leave. Keagan Johnson wouldn't give them the time of day. They recruited Watts hard.

  10. No sock puppet, Jessica, Sir Yacht, the aquarium guy or anyone with real insider knowledge. Hence the lack of info after 68 pages....Surely one of them will chime in. Anyone have Faux Pelini's contact info?

  14. I can't help but think guys like Betts, Maning and Brown are pretty stoked right now also. I think we will see them dramatically improved next year.

  17. They are 19th in scoring offense and just put up 38 against Oregon to win the Pac 12. He also was the OC at Wisconsin in 2013 when they set many records.

  20. You posted it. Tell us what it means and why it’s interesting. You have 2 choices at this point: 1. Admit you have no idea 2. Spend the rest of the night trying to sew together his stream of crap into some kind of semi-coherent argument.

  21. Remember when we used to worry about recruits not being old enough to remember when Nebraska was good? Those guys are Willy Korn's age now. Now we have to worry about coaches not remembering Nebraska being good.

  22. Nah, it was probably Scott Frost all along.

  23. An offensive coordinator running a brand new offensive scheme he's never ran before with zero time to recruit any players for it is no cause for optimism imo.

  24. Why stop there? We could go as high as sextant option. QB and all 5 skill players. The QB could have the option to run it himself or to give it to any of the skill players. Some of the skill players could even start running beyond the LOS, and the QB could give the ball to them via a … forward option?

  25. A passing game coordinator implies a running game coordinator. I don't think it would be the exact offense Army is running now, but the running game would be similar. I imagine he and Frost and Joseph would put their heads together to develop their own system.

  26. Maybe Frost will be the OC and we are bringing in a great OL coach. (Saves room for a real ST coach) why do we need a new OC when our offense really hums from our own 5 to the opp 20? we need an OL coach that can produce TDs in the red zone. Our offense is really good, save for the sieve that is our OL in the red zone. repeat after me: we need an offensive line

  27. I don't understand the whole "our next OC might be playing in another game". Guess what, dudes from losing teams are getting fired. There is no OC from a losing team getting hired right now. Every move that has taken place has coaches that are currently on a team going bowling......Maybe even guys coaching in the CFP. IMO, we have swung and missed and are tracking down the list. The whole "still coaching" denotes and suggests a winning program as this weekend was championship weekend....And that by having to wait this long, we are getting a home run. Regardless, I do not think we will ever really know the cause of the delayed hire or delayed response. We will know/figure more out when the guy is announced.

  28. I doubt he leaves a team playing in the Rose Bowl with a coach not close to the hot seat for much rougher waters. I’d love this hire, but seems like a pipe dream.

  31. If we don't have a QB for next season Davis is the only one who has a system for that. Watch us settle for him because everything else fell through and then we pound the absolute f#&% out of the rock. Chinander's defense is top 10 because they're never on the field, and we win the division.

  32. This isn’t a case of whether you support his conclusion. What I’m saying is the guy is muddying the water. He is presenting crap and pretending like it’s evidence. The equivalent of saying something like ‘grass is green, therefore Oswald acted alone’ except somehow more condescending. I don’t see him engaging in any open forums with the experts he’s supposedly refuting. He’s a hack because that’s the nicest term I can come up with. He’s full of s#!t and he knows it. Retweeting this stuff or linking it is irresponsible because it makes it seem legitimate and worthy of debate. Throwing it out there and saying ‘this seems interesting’ or ‘what do you think of this?’ suggests that you understand what’s being presented and deem it good for discussion. I’m telling you it’s not interesting and that you don’t understand it because it’s bulls#!t. It is to be treated as no different than the crazy homeless guy mumbling on the street about aliens experimenting on him.

  33. No, at this point we should assume we don't have anybody. But, if we do hire Army's OC, I find this interesting...

  34. Coastal basically runs our offense with superior design. Also why Frost "borrowed" a few of their concepts this season. We just don't have an adequate OL or an accurate QB, or legit RBs etc.

  35. I understand that you follow him because you say he has been right about something. But even if that’s true, the blind squirrel metaphor comes to mind. I am not a geneticist or an expert in infectious disease, and I would bet most of his followers are not either. Given that, I would expect some kind of logical progression starting from a well understood jumping off point whereby he walks us through each step carefully and eventually arrives at a conclusion. Anyone that has ever had to present something technical to a wide audience knows this, which is why it is done with a lot of care. This guy makes no attempt to do that. Why? Because there isn’t a logical progression. He has a conclusion in mind (and so do his followers). His tweets are mostly data-mined graphics followed by some combination of smugness and complete monkey jargon. He is obfuscating, which is a dead giveaway that he either has no idea what he is talking about, or deliberately trying to misguide others. This particular graph I found in the Twitter feed of an actual expert on infectious disease, Dr. Trevor Bedford…and incidentally he does not draw the same conclusion. It’s also telling in reading Dr. Bedford’s tweets that there seems to be an actual effort in explaining what these graphs mean and what they can tell us, even though his audience appears to be other experts in this field of study, rather than the public at large.

  36. He had the perfect storm of success at LSU. All world QB and offense. D was solid. He has stunk at Carolina. Glad to see him gone. Poor hire with little to no experience. Source: #Panthers ownership was wary of Joe Brady since his arrival. Told that his inability to generate a “spark” in the QB room was a big factor in his eventual firing. Would like to add that he’s not expected to get a head coaching job at any level. Likely a college OC. Please not Musgraves. We'd be better tp have Frost be HC/OC. Please no.

  37. IMO a bigger issue is that he's a co-coordinator in the freaking Sun Belt Conference. Interesting concepts, looks good against s#!tty competition, but It's a looong way from that to Big Ten-level football.

  39. Not just that but you can't wait until AFTER the game next weekend. We need the transfer portal to rock and roll we need to sell the offensive vision etc. We need OL and QB help and don't have a coach for either yet nor our play caller. Like come on now we gotta move damnit
